Kranos had a smile on his face upon seeing the na of the technique; it was truly as grand as he expected. Without any hesitation, he continued cultivating the technique. After so ti passed, he went to study arrays with the array elder, and then he returned to cultivating.
Although the tis were extrely boring, Kranos still enjoyed it, as he could feel his strength improving at a rapid rate.
In the blink of an eye, almost three months had passed. Just as Kranos was about to reach Rank Three in his mastery of arrays, Kathryn once again visited him that night. Hearing the knock on his door, Kranos was slightly startled. He woke from his ditation and went to open the door.
There, he saw Kathryn standing, dressed in a subtly green robe adorned with pink roses. Kranos was stunned for a mont, as she looked like a fairy from a peculiar painting.
Kranos didn’t ponder on it too much. He stared at Kathryn curiously, wondering why she had visited him again so late at night. She understood Kranos’s thoughts and imdiately stated her reason for coming.
"Do you want to visit the heart of the World Tree again?" Kathryn asked with a smile. She was sure Kranos wouldn’t refuse, as it was extrely beneficial to his cultivation. Just as she guessed...
"That would be a wonderful idea." Kranos was overjoyed. He felt that with these opportunities, he could step into the Ti Palace Realm. He wondered what kind of miraculous changes would occur when he stepped into the Ti Palace Realm and how much his strength would increase.
Suppressing his excitent, Kranos followed Kathryn as she led them to the familiar statue. Looking at the statue, Kranos faintly caught sight of a small crack in it. However, upon looking again, he didn’t see anything. "Was I mistaken?" he wondered silently as he stepped into the familiar portal filled with life.
Once again, a wave of life force hit Kranos’s face, causing him to feel refreshed. All the fatigue from constantly cultivating seed to have been washed away, and Kranos felt he could go a long ti without rest because of this. "Is this truly life force? What kind of energy is this?" Kranos was curious; the energy was too mysterious.
Another thing was the fact that he still couldn’t feel any wave of spatial fluctuation while traversing through space. "Does this an the portal was created using life energy? But... how is it possible for life energy to bend through space?"
Just as Kranos’s thoughts began to run wild, he was interrupted by Kathryn’s voice, which ca from the side.
"Find sowhere to sit and cultivate. We will spend roughly the sa amount of ti as before leaving." After advising gently, she too, found a rock nearby and sat down to begin cultivating. Imdiately, strands of mysterious energy began to revolve around her, and she entered into a state of deep ditation.
Kranos looked at this, then went to the side and began cultivating as well. His ti core revolved, and the sixth core, which was about to split, finally split into another impure fragnt after absorbing so more ti energy.
Kranos then began the process of engraving the ti core with strands of ti from the World Tree. The strands of ti were extrely profound, and Kranos was so engrossed in the process that he didn’t feel the passage of ti. It was only when he heard Kathryn’s voice that he opened his eyes.
He saw Kathryn looking at him curiously, as though she was shocked. She then asked, "You are not cultivating mana?"
Although Kranos was stunned by her words and thought that she had realized his secret, he didn’t change his facial expression. He began to revolve his energy, prepared to strike, when her voice rang out once again.
"Is it the Stellar Core cultivation manual you are using?" she asked.
Kranos nodded slowly, going with this explanation. Kathryn frowned once more as she stared at Kranos. "Strange, I don’t sense either the energy of the stars or the essence of mana from him. Could he have obtained another unique cultivation technique? Maybe among the ones Luka gave him?"
Kathryn’s thoughts moved rapidly. After a few seconds, she sighed, then muttered inwardly, "It doesn’t matter if he gets a heaven-defying cultivation technique; in the end, he can only obediently beco my chess piece." She sneered inwardly while saying to Kranos with a smile,
"Ti’s up. Let’s head back to the royal palace."
Kranos nodded at her words, the eleven ti cores in his ntal space returning to their usual calmness. The two soon left the heart of the World Tree, and similar to the last ti, so leaves withered. However, if one looked closely, they would notice that it wasn’t just a single leaf that fell this ti, but hundreds.
But as they reached the ground, they vanished into faint traces of gold, disappearing slowly as though they were being consud by life force.
Kranos and Kathryn were unaware of what was happening to the World Tree. After they reached the royal palace, Kranos thanked her for everything, then went back to his castle. At the sa ti, thoughts on how to repay Kathryn for all she had done surfaced in his mind.
He also felt it was strange that she was doing so much for him. "Could this be related to the fact that she is an anomaly?" Kranos wondered silently as he gazed through the window of his room, towards the deep green moon hanging in the sky.
He hadn’t had the chance to research what an anomaly was because he was too busy and had forgotten. But now that he had recalled it and couldn’t take it off his mind, Kranos knew that he had to look for ways to study what an anomaly was.
Tomorrow, he was also going to begin alchemy training. Since he had almost reached Rank Three in arrays and the elder still showed no signs of handing him the array book, Kranos felt that there was no need to stay there and stagnate himself.
Planning his schedule, Kranos closed his eyes, then took a deep breath before returning to his comprehension of the cultivation technique.
