Chapter 15: The ssage of the Water Spirit Pearl, and the Dragon Maiden Ao Qianqian
A thousand years later, in the northern part of the Primordial Era, a young Daoist walked alone.
The Daoist had red hair that cascaded like an immortal waterfall, flowing down gracefully.
His features were sharp, his face noble, and his aura captivating.
His sword-like eyebrows were slightly raised, and in his eyes, it seed as though starlight was scattering, blending perfectly with the stars in the sky.
Since leaving Mount Buzhou, Zhong Yue had been heading northward.
Due to Hong Jun’s teachings on the path of Dao, the entire Primordial Era had beco much more lively, showing a scene of flourishing prosperity.
Along his journey, Zhong Yue had encountered dozens of Taiyi Golden Immortals, and even occasionally saw Da Luo discussing Dao in certain areas.
For these cultivators, Zhong Yue would occasionally engage in conversation, sitting down to discuss Dao with them.
Of course, so were unfriendly, but Zhong Yue had dealt with them swiftly, sending them away without much trouble.
The northern part of the Primordial Era was much more barren compared to the east, but it was still in better condition than the west, with all the veins of the earth intact.
Zhong Yue traveled through this region, collecting the primal sources of the earth veins and contemplating the natural world.
He conversed with the sun, moon, and stars, discussed with the rivers, lakes, and seas, shook hands with every tree, and brushed against each blade of grass.
Upon reaching this point, he no longer rushed. Instead, he imrsed himself in the beauty of the mountains and rivers, comprehending the vastness of the world, the pride of life, the preciousness of ti, and the proximity of death.
One day, as usual, Zhong Yue was walking through the mountains.
Suddenly, a streak of light shot from afar, followed by a surge of murderous intent.
Zhong Yue initially intended to avoid it, letting the streak of light pass by.
After traveling through the Primordial Era for so many years, he had seen this scene countless tis. It was clearly soone seeking revenge or in pursuit of a target.
In such situations, unless absolutely necessary, he preferred to stay out of it.
However, the more he tried to avoid it, the more likely it seed that trouble would co to him.
As the streak of light flew above Zhong Yue, it suddenly plumted down.
Whoosh~
A white five-clawed divine dragon landed near Zhong Yue, its massive body kicking up a cloud of dust.
The dragon’s body was covered in wounds, its scales shattered, and even one of its horns had been broken off.
Sigh~
Seeing this, and knowing he couldn’t avoid it from such a close distance, Zhong Yue sighed.
Sure enough, as the white dragon fell, several figures descended from the void.
Leading them was a demon from the Sea Shark tribe, at the late-stage Golden Immortal level, with the others being Xuan Immortals, all transford from various sea creatures.
After the Sea Shark landed, it looked at Zhong Yue and imdiately showed a hostile expression.
“Who are you? Do you intend to protect her?” it asked.
“I am…”
Before it could finish, Zhong Yue coldly snorted.
“Enough of the noise.”
He had never been fond of demons.
Over the years, as he traveled through the Primordial Era, the most troubleso encounters had been with demons. They always found so way to obstruct his path, causing him much annoyance.
Now, seeing these demons radiating bloodlust, he could tell they were not good beings, so he didn’t want to waste ti on them.
With a wave of his sleeve, divine light surged, and these demons were instantly reduced to flying ashes.
Like wiping away ants, Zhong Yue erased these demons effortlessly. He then turned his attention to the small white dragon in the distance, his brow furrowing slightly.
From the white dragon’s body, he sensed a familiar aura.
“This is… the aura of the Water Spirit Pearl?”
The five Innate Elent Spirit Pearls each had their own unique characteristics, but so of their auras were similar.
Having already acquired the Gold, Wood, and Earth Spirit Pearls, Zhong Yue naturally had so sensitivity to the other spirit pearls, as the five Innate Spirit Pearls were one in essence.
As he thought of this, Zhong Yue’s eyes lit up with excitent. Once the five Innate Spirit Pearls were gathered, they would form a supre Innate Spirit Treasure.
If he were searching for them intentionally, Zhong Yue wouldn’t pursue this matter, but if the opportunity was presented to him, he wouldn’t hesitate.
Moreover, the five spirit pearls had other uses, and Zhong Yue had so ideas about them in his heart.
Now, he has evolved into a top-tier Innate Divine Being. Even without introducing external Innate Five Elents objects, he can still break through to the Taiyi Golden Immortal level and eventually achieve the Great Luo Golden Immortal state.
However, such a breakthrough is only the simplest of advancents. Zhong Yue desires to further strengthen his foundation, and incorporating the five spirit pearls into his body is an excellent idea.
For other beings, attempting to rge with an Innate Spirit Treasure would be impossible.
After all, an Innate Spirit Treasure is not like an Innate Spiritual Root that can be consud. It is a true spirit treasure, containing the undying light of Innate origin. It is extrely difficult to break even with brute force, let alone rge with it.
But Zhong Yue is different. He is an embodint of the earth veins. He doesn’t need to directly absorb the spirit treasures; he only needs to plant the five spirit pearls within his body to form the Innate Five Elents Formation.
Over ti, his physical body will undergo a trendous transformation, and his essence as an embodint of the earth veins will continually improve.
Ultimately, when the ti is right, his body will beco a perfect Five Elents Chaos Immortal Soil. Within his body, it will transform into a blessed land, even potentially ascending to the Immortal Domain.
Once this thought arose, it was like a spell that took root in Zhong Yue’s heart, impossible to quell.
At that mont, with a thought, Zhong Yue sent the Innate Wood Spirit Pearl flying from his body, and boundless life essence scattered onto the small white dragon.
The next mont, the white dragon’s wounds began to heal, the shattered scales were repaired, and even the broken dragon horn began to regrow.
Although the little white dragon was gravely injured, it had just entered the Golden Immortal level. With Zhong Yue, a Taiyi Golden Immortal, tending to it, the recovery took less than half an hour.
The small white dragon, now awake, saw Zhong Yue and quickly transford into an eight- or nine-year-old girl. She bowed deeply to Zhong Yue.
“Junior Ao Qianqian, thank you for saving my life, senior.”
Upon hearing this, Zhong Yue waved his hand.
“It’s no trouble. The reason I saved you is partly because of the fateful encounter, and partly because I have a request.”
At this, Zhong Yue paused, his gaze falling upon Ao Cunjin.
“I have a question for you. Do you have the Innate Water Spirit Pearl?”
“Don’t worry, I won’t forcibly take your spirit treasure. If you have any requests, feel free to speak. If they are reasonable, I will agree to them.”
If it were any other cultivator, they might have imdiately killed to seize the treasure.
But Zhong Yue is different. He follows the path of the universe and plans to exist outside of it. It’s best not to create any karmic ties with others.
On the scene, Ao Qianqian was initially startled upon hearing Zhong Yue’s request.
However, after hearing the latter part of his words, she couldn’t help but relax.
“Senior, you are too kind. You have saved my life, and it is only natural that I offer sothing in return. There is no need for exchange.”
“However…”
At this point, Ao Cunjin showed a troubled expression, as if she were conflicted about sothing.
Zhong Yue imdiately noticed and laughed.
“Is there sothing difficult to say? Speak freely.”
