"Yun’er, has your body recovered?"

Upon noticing the change in Su Yun’s condition, Su Liuyun imdiately ca to his side, asking with concern.

"Yes, father, I have recovered."

Su Yun answered with a smile, looking gratefully at Su Liuyun.

"All thanks to Lin Chen, who refined the antidote for and cleared the toxins from my body."

Su Yun told Su Liuyun about Lin Chen’s contributions, letting him know who had helped him.

"I see, we truly owe Lin Chen a great deal."

Upon hearing this, Su Liuyun’s gratitude towards Lin Chen was unmistakable.

"Yes, father, if it weren’t for Lin Chen, I might have already..."

Su Yun, rembering the past situation, felt imnsely grateful.

"Alright, Yun’er, don’t think too much about it anymore, make sure to thank Lin Chen properly in the future."

Su Liuyun comforted Su Yun, advising him not to dwell too much on the past.

"I know, father, I will make sure to thank Lin Chen properly."

Su Yun nodded firmly, indicating he would rember this kindness.

"That’s good, Yun’er, you get so rest, your father has other matters to attend to."

Su Liuyun said with concern as he looked at Su Yun.

"Alright, father, go ahead with your work without worries."

Su Yun answered with a smile, signaling Su Liuyun not to worry about him.

"Mm, then I’ll be leaving first."

Su Liuyun nodded and turned to leave.

"Father, have a safe journey."

Su Yun watched Su Liuyun leave, his heart filled with gratitude and anticipation.

"Certainly not, from his deanor, he doesn’t seem to harbor any designs against our Su family."

"Moreover, if he were truly a scion of that kind of super power, he wouldn’t need to set up a ruse to get close to you."

"The presence of such forces, one misstep could decimate our entire Su family."

"Thus, Yun’er, you must not offend this man; whatever he needs, we must make every effort to satisfy him."

Su Liuyun frowned deeply, suddenly viewing Lin Chen as a hot potato.

"Father, is it truly so terrifying? Aren’t you exaggerating a bit? Who could eradicate our Su family?"

Su Yun was skeptical of what Su Liuyun said, thinking that he was simply trying to scare him.

"Hmph, you are young and have not yet seen much. How do you think my injury ca about, and why is it so severe?"

"Moreover, your injuries, I’ve tried everything but couldn’t find any leads. What do you think is the reason?"

Su Liuyun spoke with a hint of fear in his voice.

Thinking about those powers filled him with dread.

Though the Su family might be considered a super power in Central State, compared to those supre Sects and families, they were quite feeble.

"Father, what exactly happened back then?"

Su Yun asked seriously, looking at Su Liuyun.

Back then, his father had traveled abroad, and upon returning, he went into seclusion. When he erged, he was left with an illness.

Over the years, Su Yun knew his father had many worries, so he never questioned the matter deeply.

"Back then, when I traveled, it was actually to attend the Third Prince’s birthday banquet of the Cloud Dragon Kingdom, as I was invited."

"However, the Royal Family’s internal strife is not sothing people like us can get involved with. That year, I was targeted by another Prince, treating like a retainer of the Third Prince, and thus I was injured."

"Fortunately, the Third Prince did not stand idly by. He helped , allowing to escape and save my life."

"If I’m not mistaken, the severe poison in you is not from our Su Family, but from the Royal Family of the Cloud Dragon Kingdom."

Su Liuyun sighed lightly as he spoke.

Those events always made him feel indebted to his son, as if it was his own fault that these incidents occurred because he taught the Third Prince.

However, the Su Family in Central State is only considered a dium-grade power, so joining the royal battle forces was inevitable.

After hearing Su Liuyun’s words, Su Yun fell silent for a while.

"Father, Lin Chen sincerely treats well and has saved my life several tis. I cannot clearly distance myself from him. If further contact with him would endanger the Su family, I would rather leave the Su family with Lin Chen and not be a burden."

After much contemplation, Su Yun spoke seriously.

"Enough, he has shown you kindness, and we naturally should not burn bridges after crossing them; moreover, all this is rely my speculation."

Su Liuyun waved his hand dismissively as he spoke.

Cultivation is inherently a gamble, a seizing of opportunities in critical monts.

If we were to cower in fear and retreat three feet because of it, the Su family would not have made it this far.
