It was already long past midnight and Shane doubted that anyone would ssage him back within the next few hours.

As such, Shane decided to take a look at the basin inside the room in order to wash up that he had hidden from the slightly drunk shelter captain. There had been a possibility of him being pursued, but now that he thought about it he felt that it was highly unlikely.

Shane knew many similar humans like the shelter captain and most of them were losers. They tried to show off with their weak combat prowess because they had stayed longer than necessary at lower dinsions in order to push up their ego.

This was unnecessary and most of such individuals would never reach the position of a shelter captain which began to wonder Shane even more. If he was correct, Uncle Lars, who was in the military, had told him more than enough about their rankings and the common situations in every shelter, what precautions to take and which people to avoid.

Under normal circumstances, such a glaring error of promoting an irresponsible drinker to the position of a shelter captain would be more than reckless.

After Shane sent all the ssages, he waited for a few minutes in the hope that soone would see his ssage. But, he lay down on the bed in disappointnt, as not a single notification was issued by the system.

It was exactly as he had predicted and Shane had already changed into a different set of clothes after washing up.

Only now did he finally notice how tired he was, as he decided to sleep for a few hours, before doing anything else.

As he lay on his back, Umbra coiled around his body. Shane decided to take out a few mana crystals from his spatial storage in order to allow Umbra to cultivate in his sleep, which was possible for all kinds of beasts.

Even humans absorbed mana while sleeping, though it was just extrely slow and useless for Shane right now.

He didn't need to absorb mana, but purify it, which was exactly the opposite for Umbra, as he had to gather a vast amount of mana in order to increase his evolution progress rate.

Even if the progression bar would only increase by a marginal amount throughout the night, it would be better than wasting this ti.

As such, Shane laid out several small mana crystals around him, without moving them around too much. The mana crystals would start to release mana once they were shattered, which had happened when he had crushed them with his extraordinary quality pickaxe.

Only his spatial ring prevented them from leaking mana. Inside the spatial ring, it was as ti ceased to exist.

Looking at the released mana and activating his mana gathering technique, Shane noticed that the mana inside the crystals that he had thrown out was extrely thin. It could most likely be the reason for them to be worth so less than commonly seen mana stones.

Closing his eyes, he barely slept for a few hours, before he was woken up due to Umbra's insatiable hunger transmitted straight to him...

Looking at Umbra with a slightly annoyed expression, Shane noticed that the small snake was helpless against his hunger. The maturing process was still not complete, which surprised both of them.

According to Umbra's quality, he should have matured by now and shouldn't grow in strength anymore. But upon looking closely, Shane noticed that its size was still increasing.

`Is that due to my Innate-Skill's abilities?` Shane began to think and this was most likely the case as he couldn't figure out another reason for it.

Shane thought of purchasing a small spatial ring, or bracelet for Umbra, but then he realized that his tad beast would lose it and sighed in regret.

`Is there no way to satisfy Umbra's hunger?`...

Feeding Umbra multiple dishes, Shane looked at the system ssenger, only to turn relieved and happy at the sa ti.

Sohow all uncles and aunts had ssaged him back not forgetting to lant about his copy-pasted ssage sent to everyone. They questioned him about his well-being, while Lars, whom Shane had hoped to inquire more about the RadiantRing shelter, rely complained about what he wrote in the ssage.

It seed like his family had ssaged each other and Lars was supposed to do his job, while the others were supposed to squeeze information out of him.

Not a single one of them had doubted his identity, which made him happy. Shane decided to create a group chat with the 9 of them to make things easier.

It seed like a few noticed the group chat imdiately, as they were either doing business within the system, purchasing sothing, or reading through the PrimWeb's forum.

Lars was also present and ssaged him back almost imdiately after he wrote everything he knew about the RadiantRing shelter.

"What the hell are these idiots doing within the Basic-Dinsions?? Can't they even hire a normal shelter captain??.... Sorry, Shane, I'll send soone else to take care of everything. But, it will take a few hours at least. Right now, everything is a bit chaotic due to the advanced dinsion we are supposed to enter in order to establish a shelter there.

Even your father is nervous because the dinsion is said to be infested with many dreadful existences and high-ranked races, due to the high number of natural resources.

But even so, reinforcent will co soon and help you guys out.

Please try to avoid the shelter captain for now, until the others arrive, okay? I don't want anything to happen to you because your strength is not even remotely comparable to an Expert shelter captain, or am I wrong? Ha...About your escape from John….Let tell you sothing in secret...

I'm proud and at the sa ti disappointed in both you and John. John's way to raise you up was garbage to put it simply, but running away like a spoiled child isn't the way to handle disputes like that.

On the other hand, John would never accept your way of thinking, at least for now...Just keep increasing your strength and do your best to make humanity proud...In the end, John only wants you to keep becoming stronger in order to defend yourself and the ones you love. Please understand that and don't hate your dad or any of us, because we also prevented you from experiencing a normal childhood.

We only want the best for you!"

He never knew that Lars could be that serious and thoughtful. It astonished him, causing Shane to stop eating for a mont.

Understanding why he had to endure such arduous training for years in addition to the teaching was not that difficult for soone who lived his second life. But his father's way to raise him was what caused him ntal and physical pain which he simply couldn't forget just like that.

Shane didn't want to continue thinking about his father, which caused him to divert his attention back to the newly established chat group. Everyone was still inquiring about his health, almost as if they were obsessed with him.

Chatting with them for an hour made him feel like he was with them once again. He then closed the ssenger as everyone had to focus on their work.

Now, he was curious to know when exactly the reinforcent would arrive in order for them to start gearing up the shelter's defensive chanism.
