Chapter 412: Worth of trust
Several days passed and the citizens’ tension and riots were spiraling out of control for the governnt to ignore anymore.
As such, they were forced to intervene, which, unfortunately, led to an even bigger commotion as almost everyone blad the governnt for being overbearing, self-centered, and ignorant to the fear everyone felt.
Furthermore, it seed that the governnt ignored the pain most citizens that had just lost their ho inside the Primordial dinsions felt.
Many were holess, but the number of free houses, large building complexes, and other places to stay was too low to accommodate everyone.
Under normal circumstances, the governnt would do sothing for those people that had just beco holess, but constructing proper houses was the last thing on its mind as it was simply a waste of necessary funds and ti.
The governnt had already decided that they would leave Igra either way!
This decision had yet to be officially announced, but more and more citizens were hearing about this, shocking them, while calling the governnt cowards that tried to run away from its responsibilities.
Because of that, laws seed to lose their value, and the cri rate on Igra shot up!
John Stella and the rest of the governnt were slowly being forced to change their approach, and instead of holding back, it took the path of a domineering force.
Shane knew that his father, uncles, and aunts just wanted to help save everyone, but with the obstacles thrown into their path, it was quite difficult.
As such, he could partially understand the decision they had to take.
Thus, they officially announced everything Shane had figured out, the dangers that approached them, and everything else.
Not only was the likely disappearance of the Primordial dinsions and system announced, but also the fact that both the Dark Ice elves and Eclipse thunder devils were waging war with the human race and hundreds of other basic races.
At the sa ti, there were other interdiate races that were at war with those two overly domineering forces, but this was not important for mankind!
More important was that they had no way to defend against the technological might of an interdiate, let alone advanced race, and there was not even the need to talk about soone’s cultivation base.
The human race were re toys to the two races!
When everything had been announced in a short summary, with a detailed report having been released everywhere, most citizens quieted down for so ti, listening to the plans the governnt announced.
Unfortunately, the governnt’s plan to calm down the raging and frustrated citizens shattered as a mass panic occurred.
More and more rumors of the governnt trying to abandon the citizens surfaced, which originated from those people that had already been manipulated and lured by other races, in the hopes of migrating to their planet just to stay alive.
Shane found all of this foolish, and his approach to mankind’s situation was a little bit different than that of his family.
They might have made a mistake by believing that nobody would throw obstacles into their path, but in the end, it was just that they had believed in their population’s trust in the governnt too much!
When the governnt had announced the news about their race’s current state their race was in, Shane had already called his Astral Starlight faction for a eting.
With more than 150,000 young people that reside inside the Hidden Paradise from ti to ti, working tirelessly on making a fortune, Shane had expected so of them to chicken out owing to the tense atmosphere all over Igra.
However, contrary to his expectations there was not much of a commotion.
This was mostly the cause because everyone had believed in Shane’s words when the Primordial dinsions had begun to rge together, while small malfunctions occurred in the System.
Under normal circumstances, these signs would be the first for soone to notice, causing only a small commotion for everyone.
However, because Shane had already warned everyone several tis about the dangers and the possibility of the Primordial Dinsions and System ceasing to exist, the first signs were more like first evidence for the mbers of the Astral Starlight faction.
Furthermore, Shane was by far the most talented and calm person for his age.
Even so of the old humans that had lived for more than 200 years were prone to throwing tantrums.
As such, seeing Shane’s worried expression when he had woken up from the unconscious state after the Primordial tournant had ended, everyone knew that sothing he couldn’t talk about had happened.
Everyone knew that the system prevented individuals from talking about certain things like the hidden shop that was a well-known fact, but sothing nobody could talk of!
Thus, everyone took Shane’s word more seriously, while their trust in him increased as it looked like he didn’t want to save only himself, but those around him too.
Because of that, they agreed to his request to et in front of the Neptua Ladra region.
Shane didn’t want to talk to 150,000 people through the Hidden Paradise, and instead allow them to see him, which was mostly due to the information he was about to reveal.
He stood on top of a small podium, elevating his position in order to allow everyone to see him clearly.
Clearing his throat, the fair chatter died down and everyone turned silent in an instant as the air was filled with tension.
Shane amplified his voice with mana before he looked at everyone as he began with the short announcent.
“Hello everyone, I’m glad that the vast majority of the Astral Starlight faction was able to gather here at such a short notice, and I have to apologize for calling everyone over in tis like these.
As most of you might have already heard, the situation mankind has to face is grave, to put it simply. The Primordial dinsions and system are likely to cease to exist, while the Dark Ice elves and Eclipse thunder devils have beco an aggressive force that has already destroyed several civilizations outside the Primordial dinsions.
Because of that, the governnt has announced several plans which everyone should have already heard of.
From the looks of it, you guys have listened to , and what I’ve already said beforehand, which made it easier for everyone to digest the information.
However, I know that the truth is devastating nonetheless.
There are several things I want to say, and I doubt that everyone would listen to every little detail I would like to talk about.
Unfortunately, this is important for the survival of the entire race and I have to talk about it now, or I might be unable to explain it ever again!
As such, I just wanted to state my stance towards the governnt’s plans, what I can do for others and what I plan to do…”
What followed next were ten minutes of Shane explaining to everyone what exactly the Hidden Paradise, in which they had been, truly was, without holding anything back.
This had shocked most new mbers of the Astral Starlight faction as they had only known that the Hidden Paradise was so sort of secret realm that was unstable sotis.
Everyone knew about the possibility of the secret realm collapsing, but nobody except a few had known that the Hidden Paradise was in fact a world bound to Shane’s soul, which would wither with his death.
After Shane said this, he took a short break in order to allow everyone to digest the information before he announced the governnt’s plans, including the hidden ones that involved the Hidden Paradise.
This took a total of 20 minutes, but nobody dared to slack off because Shane was talking about their future that seed to be closer to the brink of shattering than turning into a promising era!
Once he had completed sharing the governnt’s plans, it was finally ti for Shane to reveal his own plans that involved short, mid, and long-term goals.
There were still several factors he was missing out on, but he was not omnipotent and couldn’t change everything.
His strength was restricted and Shane was only able to use the things he had at hand.
Nevertheless, his plan was much better than the governnt’s in the opinion of everyone who listened to him as every single mber had been included in it.
With his plan, they could help each other, increase their efficiency while hopefully rescuing themselves, those around them, and their entire family!
The fear that had been hidden deep within the young n and won was slowly replaced by determination to survive the tumultuous era that awaited them. All of this seed possible only because of Shane, who they had begun to trust with their life!
