Chapter 403: Unfathomable

Four weeks had passed, and Shane had less than a month left to finish his [Mythic] mission, with a total of six shelters which he had yet to conquer!

During the last few weeks, Shane had taken care of his unhatched lesser forest spirit that had just finished its quality-upgrade to the [Legendary] quality!

Post its upgrade, two unexpected things occurred.

The unhatched lesser forest spirit seed to be able to reach the [Mythic] quality while remaining inside the Basic-Primordial dinsion which was extrely interesting, but nothing in comparison to the second aspect!

While the first incident was truly shocking, he had received a system notification the mont the lesser forest spirit had attained a [Legendary] quality.

[The (unhatched) lesser forest spirit has attained a [Legendary] quality! The first requirent to hatch has been t! Two requirents remain unfulfilled!]

Shane already assud that he had to fulfill certain requirents, but after knowing that one of the requirents to let his lesser forest spirit hatch had been to increase its quality to [Legendary], he couldn’t help but wonder what the remaining two were.

In the end, it was not essential to allow his forest spirit to hatch early as its loyalty was sharply increasing.

Seeing an increase of its loyalty almost every single day was surprising as even Cosmo and Umbra took longer, but it was a joyous occurrence nonetheless and nothing to grumble about.

It wouldn’t take long before Shane would attain a perfect foundation, unveil and choose his occupation, and achieve everything he had planned to take his first step towards sothing great!

There were many hurdles in his path, but that would only make him stronger as long as he didn’t give up!

Thus, the mont he appeared in front of the fortress-like shelter of the Miac race, Shane couldn’t help but smile faintly.

After conquering the Miac race’s shelter and the other one nearby, he could directly move on as by that ti his preparations would have been completed.

However, that was not sothing he would do to accomplish his mission because conquering the last four shelters would require him to be on his toes.

It would not only be a strenuous task for Shane but also his entire Conqueror combat unit!

There was only one concern Shane had with the shelter whose outlines he could see further away.

‘What happens if I encounter gane there?’

The chances were infinitely small because she already had achieved a perfect physique and a significant high mana purity months earlier when he had first encountered her.

As such, she should either be fulfilling a [Mythic] system mission to get permission to purchase the perfect mana purification manual, or she was already perfecting her foundation before ascending.

Nevertheless, there was still the chance that she might be on a visit to the Miac race’s shelter inside the radiant mountain ring dinsions!

Fortunately, that was not the case, and unbeknownst to him, his assumption about gane having perfectioned her physique had been correct.

Yet, instead of advancing to the Master stage, or doing anything to further increase her strength inside the Basic Primordial dinsions, if that was even possible, sothing else had happened.

The mont gane had attained her perfect physique, officially becoming the strongest being inside the Basic Primordial dinsions, she had been teleported to a secluded palace in a place that was filled with nothing but emptiness, radiating a divine aura.

There, she t a being of unfathomable strength that was powerful enough to destroy entire stellar systems with just a snap of his fingers.

gane and the being had stood facing each other, without moving a single inch.

While the mysterious being was unrestrained, doing nothing but staring at the young Dark Ice Elf with a faint but gentle smile, gane could hardly breathe due to the surrounding pressure weighing her down.

Bowing her head, she followed her primal instincts as she kneeled down, despite her entire being screaming at her to not do it!

Only when the pressure slowly dispersed was it possible for gane to lift her head, subconsciously staring straight into the mysterious being’s eyes that were shining in a faint golden-silverish hue.

His golden-silverish eyes pierced straight through the hue, right through her facade inside the deepest part of her soul.

Ti passed slowly and it felt like an eternity to gane as she heard a sonorous voice asking her one particular question which she had longed to be asked since what felt like an eternity.

“Do you want to be freed?”

**

Shane was careful when he approached the Miac race’s fortress-like shelter.

Their walls were much higher than anyone else’s, and there were a total of three layers to which Shane had to pay attention!

This was annoying, but nothing he could change.

The sa could be said about the shelter’s number of guards as well as their combat prowess that was tad higher than his expectations.

As a matter of fact, the Miac race was scared the most about being conquered by other races as they would have to face the Dark Ice Elves’ wrath if sothing were to happen.

Thus, their defenses were among the strongest for an ordinary shelter.

Because of that, Shane assud there to be more than 40,000 guards that had an average mana purity of around [70%] in addition to so guard captains, elite units, and more with an even higher mana purity.

Nevertheless, Shane couldn’t help but think that this was not a problem and could easily be solved.

Rather than that, he had to pay attention to the spatial disruption zone that spanned over the entire shelter, while the structure he was looking for had been placed within the first defensive line, similar to the shelter hall and dinsion portal!

However, how should they have expected that placing all of their eggs in a single basket was one of the biggest mistakes they could have made?

When Shane had appeared less than 100 ters in front of the gigantic shelter walls without anyone noticing, he could only smile faintly as he took out sothing from the Hidden Paradise.

It was one of the newly manufactured high-velocity catapults that had been made of high mana conductive wood, high mana conductive tals, and a vast number of runes that increased the conductivity of mana further.

As such, the velocity, and exerted strength of every single catapult swing was extraordinarily high.

This was also why Shane had wanted to use it!

He had planned to utilize the newly manufactured catapult to hurl himself over the shelter walls.

Yet, instead of doing this by placing the catapult in the required position, Shane adjusted the angle so that he would be thrown at a 70-degree angle.

This, in return, ant that he wouldn’t be able to cross the shelter wall, at least, if one were to consider the conventional ans without making use of sothing else!

However, Shane and his plans were by no ans conventional, he wanted to use a catapult to infiltrate a shelter after all!

After adequately padding the inner part of the catapult, that would prevent him from being possibly crushed or injured while being thrown in the air, only half a minute passed before he was inside the small bow as an excited smile could be seen on his face.

When he inserted enough mana into the catapult, it began to glow lightly, overshadowing Shane’s mana fluctuation concealing do. After he deactivated the do; he was thrown several hundred ters into the do within an instant.

The pressure was extre but Shane had been fully prepared.

As such, nothing had happened on both the front and his backside as he was flung into the air.

Without the mana fluctuation concealing device activated, Shane´s appearance had been finally noticed by the Miac race. Despite the incoming danger, it had decided to remain level-headed and send a few guards to the outermost defensive wall Shane had yet to cross.

However, in less than a minute, before the guards could appear on the last shelter wall, Shane had already crossed the first, second, and third defensive layer!

“He…he..HE IS HERE!!!”

At that mont, a Miac soldier rushed inside the shelter wall as he scread his lungs out.

“Aerial attack!! One unidentified being is above the shel-…”

Before the soldier was even able to finish his sentence, several explosions rocked the shelter, as a loud crashing sound could be heard.

Trendous mana fluctuations could be sensed from behind the guard as a razor-sharp blade pierced through his chest.

“I’m sorry for the intrusion, but can you guys… please die?”

At that mont, true terror descended onto the Miac race’s shelter as a thousand disguised beings seemingly appeared out of nowhere in the shelter’s center without anyone having been able to defend against it!
