Chapter 397: [Conqueror]

Mankind didn’t have a long heritage within the Primordial Dinsions.

Nevertheless, their achievents had been great, and they had shelters in many Advanced and Interdiate dinsions with the largest being those inside Basic dinsions.

Unfortunately, the Dark Ice Elves had started to invest huge sums and extrely precious items in order to lure other races to destroy every shelter belonging to certain basic races they had been targeting.

There was a huge bounty on several basic races, and every destroyed shelter was worth a huge fortune.

Even destroying a shelter in a basic dinsion was equivalent to what certain races earned in several months, with the hard work of the whole population!

This fact alone explained how serious the Dark Ice Elves and their allied Advanced race were while gauging the potential of so races, or certain individuals from such races.

For guilds to take certain missions, they had to be worth the unknown dangers that swept through the Primordial dinsions.

Shane knew that there were certain types of quests that weren’t difficult to solve, even with the dangers, but a few higher ranked Starlight guild mbers had to be present for that.

Thankfully, Miriam was a great Guildmaster and much better than Shane could have ever been.

Initially, she had wanted to advance to the Master stage, but after her Phoenix fire affinity had evolved, she frequently received occupational missions.

Occupational missions were sothing Shane had only heard about in rumors because they were said to be rare and only given out under special circumstances.

Considering that Miriam had almost comprehended a domain it didn’t sound off that she seed to have t the requirents to get an occupational mission.

As a matter of fact, certain occupations could be enhanced after having been chosen, and they could even allow certain techniques to attain a higher grade!

With that in mind, Shane assud that the rewards for the occupational missions Miriam seed to have obtained were worth staying longer inside the Basic Dinsions.

She didn’t want to explicitly state the rewards but according to her mischievous smile, it was sothing good.

Even so, Shane had other things to take care of right now.

With his mana purity having reached [97%] and his ti slowly running out, Shane wanted to reach a perfect mana purity as soon as possible.

Because of that, he didn’t even want to waste any ti and imdiately requested the [Mythic] mission for a perfect mana purification manual.

Looking at the system’s holographic screen, he could only bite his lip as a golden frad ssage manifested in front of him.

[[Mythic] mission for |perfect mana purification| technique has been requested…Mission has been chosen!]

[Conqueror] Conquer or destroy a total of 10 Shelters within the Basic Primordial Dinsions! The conquered/destroyed shelter must have been evaluated to be strong enough to defend against beast tides led by more than 3 Overlords! Ti limit [89D:23H:59M:59S]. No further restrictions. Reward: Perfect mana purification technique!

Reading through the mission, Shane was not sure how exactly he should feel.

The mission was extrely difficult and the ti limit was short to put it simply, however, sohow, Shane couldn’t help but smile.

“To think that my Starlight guild will be required so soon!”

Conquering a shelter was no laughing matter and could be described as an extrely ti and resource-consuming task, let alone the number of casualties one was bound to face.

Nevertheless, Shane felt as if he had been blessed by the system!

The only issue was the shelter’s restriction because only the shelters with high enough defenses to fend of beast tides with 3 Overlords were eligible.

This was a little demotivating, but Shane’s mind was already rattling, trying to think of a solution for everything.

At the sa ti, he ssaged Miriam about the exact number of the Starlight guild’s elite mbers who had already reached a mana purity above [90%]

There was no ti to feel demotivated at all because he wanted to receive the perfect mana purification technique at all costs.

However, the more he thought about it, the more problems seed to crop up like weed.

“If I were to conquer a shelter, I would implicate mankind into the ss….A conquered shelter would be reason enough to wage a war…”

In the end, he had to conquer 10 shelters and it was not easy for Shane to find 10 shelters of the sa race, the human race was already at war while eting the requirents stated by the system.

While Shane was deep in thoughts, he didn’t even notice Miriam’s answer to his question.

Only half an hour later did he notice it as he got an idea.

‘I will have to report this to my family either way…implicating the entire race is definitely not what I want, but I need this perfect mana purification technique!’

Shane knew many ways on how to hide his appearance and so on, but there could always be issues.

As such, he reported the exact content of his mission to his family.

There was no need to hold back anymore, and it was important that they would support him.

He would require their support, at least, to so extent, otherwise, he would have to figure out a different solution.

The mont he read the ssage from Miriam, it caused him to forget his worries for a while, only to notice that his father had ssaged him.

Shane hadn’t expected his father to be the first to read his ssage in the group chat.

However, even less did Shane expect that his father would be the one to ask him to co to the governnt building in the Capital.

“We’re holding a eting of all great clans and higher-ups. I guess you can explain everything there and then we should be able to find a solution, but…are you confident?”

The ssage content was different from what he knew about his father.

At the sa ti, it was reassuring and Shane couldn’t help but smile, thinking that his father had improved a lot and beco much better than he had been in the past.

Nevertheless, it worried him a little bit that the other higher-ups and family heads would be present.

Explaining everything might be tricky, but when he thought that his family would be around as well, he was finally able to calm down.

Everything happened so fast, and he left Masua through the Dinsion portal, only to appear in the middle of the Capital.

Taking a deep breath, Shane ignored the change of gravitational force that was much lower on Igra; a fact made possible by the faint mana currents that enveloped him.

Less than half an hour later, he stood in front of a huge skyscraper that was, in fact, the governnt building he had been looking for.

The egg of the lesser forest spirit was safely tucked inside the Hidden Paradise along with Umbra and Cosmo.

For the last three months, Shane had consistently increased the Hidden Paradise’s size that had expanded to 9.9 kiloters in diater.

He was barely100 ters short of finishing the second requirent of the hidden occupation he had yet to fully decipher.

At the sa ti, he was only lacking 3% in his mana purity and less than 50% in the lesser forest spirit’s loyalty to fully unveil the hidden occupation!

It was only a matter of ti and Shane was confident that he would achieve everything as long as he was able to finish his mission!

In the end, he had too many advantages with which he could start an infiltration, while the Starlight guild’s elite mbers were more fearso than Shane could have expected.

Appointing Miriam as the guildmaster was a great decision because even talented youths had decided to follow her, while strong families had tried to approach Miriam by letting their children join the Starlight guild.

As such, there were a total of 1000 Starlight guild mbers that had reached a mana purity of [90%], 300 with a mana purity of [93%] or higher, 30 with a mana purity of [95%].

An interesting addition to the guild was the Boreas rcenaries that seed to have seen sothing in Miriam or the Starlight guild that had made them join.

Other than that, there was Miriam herself with a mana purity of [98%]!

Even with such a high number of elite combatants, the most important reasons for Shane to be confident in conquering a total of 10 strong defended Shelters were, in fact, Cosmo and his Hidden Paradise!

Since he had received his mission an hour had already passed, but his mind worked on devising all kinds of plans to conquer a shelter without sustaining any casualties.

As such, he couldn’t help but think of a surprise attack, with one person that would suddenly appear within a shelter!

That was simply crazy, unimaginable, and sothing one could never expect even in their wildest dreams!

His mind was still deep in thoughts while riding the elevator to the highest floor, only to hear a thunderous, and noticeably enraged voice the mont the elevator’s doors opened.

“Do you think our lives are worthless or this entire situation is a playground in which you can simply allow your son to do whatever he pleases?!?? Our whole race will be endangered if he goes around conquering other races’ shelters!!…. Is he even strong enough to accomplish this?!”
