Chapter 394: Warning
He was not sure what he should compare the Mask’s appearance with, but it was black colored with red outlines.
Two black horns protruded out of the mask’s forehead, and the normally empty space of the eyes was filled with a crimson-red, web-like material.
This truly concealed the wearer’s identity while Shane saw everything perfectly well when he put on the mask.
At that mont, he felt a sting on his forehead as a notification manifested in front of him.
[Myar, Mask of the Cursed Susurro, has been bound by the host! Congratulations!]
That was to be expected to happen and Shane endured the pain with a grunt.
Wearing the mask was extrely comfortable and he didn’t even have to use anything to fasten it because it was simply glued to his face.
“That’s perfect!” He blurted out with a faint smile on his face.
Forcing himself to get out of the bed, he stood up as he wanted to test sothing out.
First, he exerted the [Concealnt mbrane], to see how much better the concealnt was in comparison to his concealnt skill.
Unfortunately, it ended up being much worse, only for Shane to realize that the mask was still at the Mortal grade and [Trash] quality!
This was not a problem and sothing he could fix easily.
He only needed enough mana to insert it into the growth ability the Mask had.
At least, Shane assud this to be the case.
Using so of the mana he had recuperated, he sensed that it was not painful to circulate mana through his body, while the Mask on his face began to glow lightly.
‘Oh…that’s a lot!’ Shane couldn’t help but think.
His entire mana pool had been drained in an instant, and the Mask had yet to increase its quality by a single rank!
Unfortunately, he couldn’t simply waste the Hidden Paradise’s mana anymore because he had too many things to do with it.
Furthermore, by attending the Primordial tournant he had been forced to use quite a bit of the stockpiled mana.
Scratching the back of his head, Shane could only ignore the pain and tell himself that he would increase the mask’s grade and quality later.
However, what he couldn’t ignore was testing out the other abilities.
Thus, he transferred a small amount of mana from his soul bound world to his mana pool to test out the remaining abilities.
[Artemis’ do] was extrely interesting because it was like a perfect ability to protect himself and those around him as long as he inserted enough mana into it.
At the sa ti, it was completely soundproof. Shane couldn’t hear what was going on outside the barrier, while Cosmo and Umbra were unable to hear what he had been telling them.
Forcing himself to get out of the bed, he first had to take off the machines that were attached to him.
After that, he simply had to endure the pain.
Right now, he was not even sure where he was, but by looking outside the window, he assud to be inside his faction’s nurturing grounds.
Relieved that he was no longer in unfamiliar territory, he couldn’t help but think that his family must have been quite astonished to see how many Artisans he had hired, let alone the large number of combatants his guild nurtured!
With a faint smile on his face, Shane endured the pain while exerting the [Remote use] skill to Cosmo’s [Space Jump] ability!
It drained a huge amount of mana but a small spatial portal manifested in front of him with the corresponding pair being half a ter in front of it.
Using his arm, he went through the small spatial portal, only to retract it quickly as the mana he used was rapidly drained.
The mana consumption was extrely high but that was sothing Shane had already expected.
Nevertheless, he couldn’t help but feel excited right now.
Earlier, he had assud that it might be possible for him to make use of his tad beast’s ability, but only when he would acquire the mysterious occupation he was still trying to unlock.
Fortunately, it was much earlier than expected, and it might as well help him in dangerous tis.
While Cosmo required a short mont to erge from the Hidden Paradise after having been summoned and use the [Space Jump] ability, utilizing it the exact mont he wanted it to be activated was much better.
The mana consumption was no problem as long as enough mana was stored inside the Hidden Paradise.
Furthermore, Shane assud that the mana consumption would slowly drop with the mask’s advancent in rank and quality.
This may take so ti, but it was not sothing Shane was worried about.
In the end, both the Mask and the egg he had obtained were extrely useful, and he couldn’t think of anything better to make use of.
Now that he had solved several problems like increasing his combat prowess with the Mask of the Cursed Susurro, and the appearance of an unawakened lesser forest spirit he had yet to ta, Shane’s tasks were simple.
First, he wanted to take a look at the Note which he had received as a third reward, and second, he wanted to ta the lesser forest spirit.
Shane had no idea what he should expect of the note, but when he took the simple piece of paper out of the spatial ring, he couldn’t help but frown.
[Warning note- Dear first rank holder of the Primordial tournant, this note is a one-ti occurrence and is only given to you!
By the ti you read this, the Primordial Dinsions and the program you know under the na ‘system’ will have already started to undergo a drastic change.
Maybe you have noticed it, or you’ve been oblivious to it. In the end, it doesn’t matter.
Prepare yourself for the worst-case scenario that will be even worse than you could imagine, or you’ll die.
By the way, the system will destroy your mories if you dare say/write/hand sign/…./…/… anything about the note!
Tip- Establish a true perfect foundation-]
“I was not the first rank holder of the Primordial tournant, you little piece of garbage!” This was the first thing Shane blurted out when he had read the first few words, only to turn serious the further he read.
‘It’s not like I knew all of that, and the worst-case scenario is pretty damn shitty for mankind either way…but why did I get this note?!’
If only one person got this note, and it was the first rank holder place, gane should have gotten that instead of him.
As such, either sothing went wrong, or it was not an accident and done intentionally!
Shane was not sure what kind of existence wrote the note, but there was sothing that pissed him off.
“If you write, ‘prepare yourself’, give a frickin’ date, countdown or whatever for to know how quick I have to be!!!”
He required many things from the system with the most important stuff being the Hidden Paradise’s mana heart awakening and establishing a perfect foundation.
Without knowing what the difference between a ‘true’ perfect foundation and the perfect foundation he was aiming for was, Shane could only shrug his shoulders in pain as he stared at his tad beasts.
“I guess we can’t waste anymore ti!”
There was nothing Shane could have accomplished without using the system and Primordial dinsions so far, and he was relying on it for now.
However, because he knew that it would most likely cease to exist soon, preparing himself was not the biggest problem.
The biggest issue was how to make the best use of his knowledge without telling anyone else.
‘Everything I told the others has already been said multiple tis, thus repeating myself is useless. Maybe, I should increase the number of Artisans and Guild mbers further? We have enough funds, and I will still have enough to save up everything slowly…’
Shane didn’t know how long it would take for the system and the Primordial dinsions to disappear, but he knew roughly how much ti he required to finish everything neatly!
“Give …two…no..one year!!”
With the year he had given himself, Shane wanted to establish his perfect foundation, choose his occupation, awaken the soul bound world’s mana heart he had already chosen, and prepare everything possible to….live on a different planet…
Everything could happen, and the only thing Shane was able to do for now was to work hard!
