Chapter 386: Butcher
The Migrd’s six lethal attacks arrived in front of him, barely milliters away from piercing into his flesh as Shane saw one of the legs right in front of his eyes.
Under normal circumstances, one would be unable to move in this situation, but Shane’s mind was extrely calm.
His passive abilities [Hunter’s mind] and [Warrior’s Heart] were unleashed to an extent Shane had never felt before!
Wasting no ti in thinking, he could barely transfer a trendous amount of mana from the Hidden Paradise to his mana core while unleashing everything at once.
He didn’t use any skills or anything other than the brute force of the mana waves to deflect the Migrd’s attack at once.
Shane tried to make use of this in order to use his extraordinary speed to evade the six attacks that had accurately targeted his vital points!
The enormous mana he released at once had turned into an unexpected shockwave that had averted the trajectory of the Migrd’s attacks.
Because of that, Shane could barely evade the most lethal attacks, only to feel searing pain spreading from his left arm, shoulder, and his thigh.
Despite the pain, Shane knew that he couldn’t remain idle.
As such, he had to keep moving, keeping himself safe from the Migrd’s attacks.
Shane had noticed that sothing was wrong, the mont the Migrd hadn’t defended itself, and only now did he see that its body that had been cut in half was trying to move together once again.
Faint threads of flesh and skin were trying to initiate the connection, only for Shane to see that its legs were kicking aimlessly as if they were still listening to the last order they had received.
Through that, Shane knew that the Migrd’s lower body was unable to heal on its own and that his assumption with the mana core was correct.
Either he had only missed the mana core, or it was at a different position than he had assud!
Fortunately, this was not a problem now that he had survived the first attack while having been able to cut his opponent in two halves.
Because of that, the Migrid’s eight legs were no problem for now, and without any hesitation, Shane re-activated every skill and technique he had stopped utilizing for a mont.
At the sa ti, the amount of mana he circulated through his body increased by a large margin, while the Invincible Scimitar glowed faintly.
Taking a deep breath the overclocked [Light steps] movent technique was fully utilized as he catapulted himself towards the rapidly healing Migrd that braced itself for the incoming attack.
As such it utilized several skills to attack Shane through a long range.
These attacks were similar to compressed mana blasts, enhanced and strengthened through other skills.
However, Shane could only smile at this
‘Co on, release more of your mana!!!’
The more mana the Migrd used, the fewer problems he would have later.
Brandishing the Invincible Scimitar, Shane used it to sever through three mana blasts before he had already erged in front of the Migrd that tried in vain to attack him with its six arms.
At that mont, Shane realized that his assumption about the Migrd’s lower body had been correct.
Thus, he simply lashed out with the Invincible Scimitar, cutting through the new flesh, skin and veins that were stitching together and recovering rapidly.
With that single cut, Shane had severed the connection from the upper body to the lower one once again.
There was no need to stop because he had just begun!
Retracting the Scimitar, Shane didn’t waste any ti and lashed out again.
But instead of attacking the upper body in order to search for the Migrd’s mana core, Shane targeted the lower body that was drastically weakened after suffering a huge loss of mana.
After piercing the blade through the flesh, Shane lifted the Scimitar before he jumped back one step, evading the Migrd’s six arms’ attacks.
Only a mont later, he lifted the Invincible Scimitar with the heavy body on its tip before flinging the lower body away.
It was hurled more than a dozen ters away and landed on the ground with a sickening thud. Shane couldn’t help but smile at his strength before he turned towards the Migrd with a devilish smile.
Its body was already starting to heal, but that was not sothing Shane was worried about as he had already advanced straight ahead without any hesitation.
The Migrd’s six arms were much shorter than its legs, and thus less dangerous for Shane, who had the Invincible Scimitar as a ans to cut through everything.
This was exactly what Shane did! Instead of targeting the Migrd’s torso, he aid at the left side of its arms which he severed with a simple move before cutting the arms off of his shoulders.
A mont later Shane appeared on the Migrd’s other side, repeating exactly the sa move once again.
Through this, Shane amputated his opponent leaving no ans for it to attack him lethally, and stared at the bloodsoaked Migrd.
“I give you three seconds. If you give up now, I’ll kick you out of the arena and you might survive…if not have fun being butchered further!”
Even if he was currently participating in the Primordial tournant, Shane couldn’t help but feel that butchering his opponent, only to advance a single round, was too cruel.
As such, he gave his opponent one opportunity to save its life.
The Migrd race might be primitive and follow its primal instincts, but that would be more than enough to gauge whether it had the will to continue fighting.
Shane knew that it might not be well versed in the primordial language, but the signs it gave should have given him more than enough clues to know what it wanted.
Unfortunately, both heads of the Migrd were just lunging after Shane who stood only a ter away from the Migrd’s torso.
Its lower body was already deathly still and the severed arms laid several ters away, squirming on the ground like fishes that had been left on dry ground.
Seeing how the Migrd didn’t accept his offer, Shane could only sigh as he swung the Invincible Scimitar, decapitating both of its heads with a frown in his face.
After that, he simply tried to assess from which part of the Migrd’s body was most of the mana being released, before he lodged his Scimitar into the Migrd’s flesh again.
A mont later, he heard a faint crack as the remaining energy stored within the Migrd’s mana core was released at once.
Shane had destroyed its core, killing it, but he couldn’t feel good about it.
Despite having given the Migrd a chance, it hadn’t saved itself and instead had desperately tried to attack him.
Shane couldn’t know whether or not the Migrd had another ans to attack, thus he could only act as he had announced monts ago!
With the Migrd’s death, the system announced his victory, allowing him to enter the semi-finals of the Primordial tournant!
This should have made Shane proud and made him feel a tinge of excitent, but instead of feeling so, he could only look at gane, who had long since finished her battle.
Her mana fluctuations were as calm as before, and it was as if she hadn’t even used a single trace of strength.
Had she not been a rciless killer with nothing but the intent to kill in her eyes, Shane would have said that she looked gorgeous and that many races would fall for her beauty.
Unfortunately, her entire being seed to scream the desire to kill even more beings and beco stronger.
However, exactly this caused Shane to feel weird! Even though he didn’t know much about other races, what he sensed from gane was not sothing a being around his age should have been able to generate, let alone go on a mindless killing spree!
‘Is she being controlled?’ Shane just wondered, only to realize that he had no ti to think about his possible next opponent’s situation.
There were too many problems he had to face right now and most of them seed to include the Dark Ice Elves, or to be more precise, gane!
Nevertheless, sohow, unknown to Shane, he couldn’t feel anger, let alone hate towards the young Dark Ice Elf.
All he could feel for her was a pity, even if he was not sure why he felt like this.
