Reuniting with Veth and Flura made Kent very happy.
It had been a very long time since they had seen him, even if it had been only a few years for him. But as someone who had lived on Earth, a place where someone above seventy-five years old is considered fortunate, the years apart had been a long time for him, too.
But now, he was happy that he had finally started reuniting with them.
"You said Lady Wu would be holding a mega auction in a few months’ time, huh?" Kent asked Veth, who, from what he had learned, was much closer to Lady Wu than the rest. Since they both ventured into business, it was only right that they stayed connected.
Veth nodded. "Yes. The Brown Maple Auction Empire is the largest auction empire in the Eastern Region. Whatever you gave her before you left the Pill World helped her very much. It helped all of us.
Now, we have influence everywhere in the region and in other regions as well. We even have connections to some gods, and recently, I managed to form a connection with a Pill Supreme." She made sure Kent understood that the money he gave her wasn’t spent on foolish things.
"As for Lady Wu, every ten thousand years, she holds an auction attended only by the richest and most powerful. I honestly don’t know how far her influence has reached, but if you attend, I am sure you will be amazed.
I have an invitation, so we can go together if you want."
Kent smiled. "I guess I will go to Lady Wu first before visiting the others."
"Wonderful. When you are ready to leave, let me know."
A few seconds later, Zeraphine and the others whom he had met in the Pill World arrived in the garden after Kent had informed them that Veth and Flura were now in the tower.
He wasn’t the only one who needed this reunion. It had been years since they last saw each other, so this reunion was for all of them.
A few minutes after they arrived, Kent’s wives also started to appear. Every last one of them walked into Kent’s arms and hugged him before stealing a kiss.
Veth and Flura, who had just arrived in the tower, were stunned when they saw the dozens of beauties walking into Kent’s arms. For a moment, they felt like they had underestimated him.
When Val finally kissed him, Lili Thara landed on Kent’s head, causing everyone who had just arrived to direct their attention toward her.
"Kent, who is this tiny child?" Vexthra asked, looking at Lili Thara with eyes that clearly said she wanted to hold her. In fact, his wives, including the Evil Queen Pandora, all wanted to hold Lili Thara.
Seeing that they all wanted to know who the little girl was, Kent smiled and replied, "She is my child."
Their eyes widened, including Lili Thara’s.
While the ladies felt their heartbeats quicken, Lili Thara was at a loss for what to say. She clearly had no idea what Kent meant, but judging by how everyone was looking at her, she knew she was the center of attention.
Kent grinned when he saw the expressions on his wives’ faces.
"Relax, all of you. Lili Thara is a Living Pill. She is a Tier 22 Soul Tempering Pill that was brought to life using a technique called [Pill Life]."
The ladies let out sighs of relief, but they still glared at him for nearly making them ask who the mother was and also demand their own children.
They had already planned to bring up the subject, but knowing that the universe was far from safe, they wanted to reach a stage where, with or without children, no threat could endanger them.
"Hold on a minute." Indie stepped forward and narrowed her eyes at Lili Thara. "Since when can pills gain life? And can she continue to grow beyond her current stage?"
Kent smirked. "Your knowledge of alchemy is weak, Indie. And yes, pills can have a life of their own. Such pills are mostly referred to as Sentient Pills.
However, Lili Thara is a special case. She gained both sentience and life force, meaning she can continue to grow beyond the limits of a Tier 22 pill."
"Unbelievable."
Some of his wives, who were only just learning about something this shocking, stared intently at Lili Thara, who clung to Kent’s horns and tried to hide her face.
"Who even created a technique that can give life to a pill?" Pandora wondered aloud. "From what I have learned, giving life to something can only be achieved if you possess some understanding of the Law of Origin. Creating a technique capable of doing so would require an even deeper understanding of the Origin Laws."
She looked at Lili Thara before turning to Flura.
"There are no traces of the Law of Origin on her, which means the technique was given to her. Kent, did you give it to her?"
"Nope. The Pill Dao did after her name appeared on the Pill Dao Tablet."
"Really?"
The ladies immediately turned toward Flura, who was smiling proudly.
"Congratulations, sister," they all said, causing Flura to blush slightly before nodding.
"Just incredible," several of them murmured as they continued admiring Lili Thara, who had regained some of her confidence and was now sitting upright on Kent’s head.
"Do you also have the technique to create Living Pills?" Camilla asked.
"Yes." Kent grinned before adding, "After all, I was the one who created it."
"WHAT?!"
The shocked cries echoed throughout the garden.
Kent laughed at their reactions.
"I created it during one of my past lives. Back then, I was an alchemist and one of the top scholars. One day, I encountered a strange beast that could turn living things into non-living ones and vice versa.
We spoke for a while, and after exchanging knowledge, I received a manual that helped me begin to understand the Law of Origin. Later, after being a Pill God, I created the [Pill Life] Technique and used it to give life to my pills.
After I died, the Pill Dao copied the technique and began granting it to acplished alchemists."
The ladies exchanged glances before breaking into laughter.
The kind of person Kent was continued to blow their minds. Every time they thought they had uncovered all of his secrets, another implausible story would emerge from one of his countless past lives.
"You are a monster, Kent," Neomi said.
The others nodded in agreement.
Kent merely laughed. Even he occasionally found himself shocked by the kind of life he had lived in the distant past.
"So, are you going back out there, or are you planning on joining us in clearing the dungeons?" Vexthra asked as she rested her head against Kent’s shoulder.
Meanwhile, Lili Thara had grabbed a strand of Vexthra’s hair and was happily playing with it.
"Not yet. I want to upgrade my Undead Legion and awaken their true powers before heading back out," Kent replied as he gently squeezed Vexthra’s hand.
His gaze swept across the gathered ladies before he brought all of them to the Legion Tower, where he intended to awaken Kaizo and the rest of his Undead Legion’s true undead powers.
At the moment, they could only be considered half-awakened.
However, now that he had bee the Bone Lich Emperor, he possessed the ability to bring out their true potential.
In fact, he planned to ensure that every single member of his undead legion advanced beyond their current stage and became strong enough to undertake a mission he had received from the tower.
Since he could not personally travel to the Undead Realm because of his conflict with the Undead Monarch, Kaizo and the others would carry out the mission in his stead.
