’If I don’t beat one of them within one hour...’ Sam thought, ’Then they can do whatever they want?’
A cold realization settled in his chest at the thought, because the aning behind the tir was painfully obvious.
The [King] had said before that the [Colossals] could leave their spaces the very mont he ordered them to.
And this tir... this countdown hanging in the sky above Sam... it could only be there for one purpose.
If he failed to defeat even one of the ten [Colossals] within the hour, then the [King] would release them.
Sam didn’t know the full extent of that threat, but he had a feeling that the mont they escaped, the entire [Soul Realm] would change in a way he didn’t want to witness.
The thought alone made sothing twist uneasily in his chest.
Still, he flapped his wings harder and flew toward the giant electrical beam closest to him, pushing all unnecessary thoughts aside.
He didn’t have ti to hesitate.
Or even the ti to think too deeply about fear, since he couldn’t even feel that.
’Am I supposed to go inside... of it?’ Sam tilted his head as he approached.
The closer he got, the more the beam’s size overwheld him, towering like an impossible pillar made of crackling light and raw energy.
He looked down at the valley below him and saw nothing there, no structure, no life, no movent, only stone and silence, aning the beam was literally the only thing occupying this entire area.
The [King] had said that each [Colossal] had a "space," and according to the [King], this beam represented one of those spaces.
So perhaps going in really was the correct move. At least, he hoped it was.
It wasn’t like Sam feared dying from touching the beam or entering it, since he had [Primordial Barrier], which could take hits from things far more dangerous than raw energy.
Even if the beam damaged him, his barrier would hold for at least a few seconds, giving him ti to react.
But even with the barrier, stepping into sothing completely unknown still made him uneasy.
He didn’t know what awaited him inside.
He didn’t know how strong his opponent would be.
He didn’t know what rules this "space" would enforce.
He didn’t know anything.
But still...
[Proceed.]
Sam exhaled slowly and reluctantly obeyed the panel’s ssage.
Before going inside, he opened his status window.

It had been a long ti since he last took the ti to study his status, and now that he saw it again, he couldn’t deny that his arsenal had grown absurdly large.
He had more skills than he could count on his fingers.
More abilities than he had ever imagined having.
More destructive power than any normal person should ever possess.
He wasn’t even sure he could use every single ability in one battle if he tried.
’That’s why I wanted to train,’ Sam gritted his teeth, ’To know which skill to use at what mont. I can’t just rely on instincts forever.’
But ti was the one thing the [King] refused to give him.
His eyes moved down the window again, and he noticed a brand new section: [Ultimate Skills].
These skills were too powerful to be classified together with the others.
Even though he knew [Supernova] was objectively one of the strongest abilities he had without even using it, the fact that it wasn’t in the [Ultimate Skills] category made him understand just how terrifying the ultimate skill must be.
’My Last Stand Before Death.’
The na alone felt heavy. As if calling it anything else would be disrespectful.
He didn’t know exactly what it did. But he knew it was sothing beyond anything he had used so far.
Still thinking about it, Sam took a deep breath, flapped his wings once more, and entered the [Colossal Beam] before him.
Imdiately, his entire body felt like it was twisting and bending through space, like reality itself was pushing him into a whole different dinsion.
Ding!
---
[You have entered the "Colossal Beam of Light"]
[Challenge: Beat the "Colossal of Light"]
---
’I guess these guys ALSO have different nas,’ Sam sighed.
He wasn’t surprised. He had fought the [Forsaken Lord] and Monarchs].
The [Colossals] having titles was inevitable. The only part that bothered him was the number.
There were seven [Forsaken Lords] and five [Monarchs].
But the [Colossals]... There were ten.
Ten massive beings he would have to face one after the other, without any break, assuming the [King] didn’t give him rcy.
It would be incredibly hard. And also incredibly repetitive.
Sam wasn’t afraid to admit that.
The idea of fighting the sa type of giant creature ten consecutive tis felt like grinding in a ga with no reward.
But the [King] had said clearly: [Each one can do whatever they want inside their space, whether it is having a direct battle or a challenge.]
So each encounter could be different. Each one could have different rules.
Sam didn’t care what they planned. He just wanted one thing. A chance to win.
Fwish! Bam!
Sam suddenly appeared on the ground, and imdiately raised his sword, scanning the area with sharp eyes.
’The challenge is extrely basic. Just beat the [Colossal] linked to this place,’ Sam thought carefully, ’But I don’t like this at all.’
He stood on a giant stone platform with glowing patterns that looked like channels of light spreading across the ground.
The air around him was thick with energy.
The environnt shifted into a giant dark void, stretching endlessly, filled with tiny floating lightning particles that drifted like glowing dust.
And far in the distance, lightning bolts cracked the darkness every few seconds.
When Sam examined the boundary of the platform, he noticed a magnetic field forming a do-like barrier around him, locking him inside.
There was no escape. The rules were simple. Win or die.
At that mont...
[Finally.]
A deep, vibrating voice echoed through the space.
[The mont I’ve been waiting for all this ti.]
[You know, the amount of your kind that reach this place is minimal.]
Sam didn’t respond.
He simply took a stance, gripping his primordial sword and grounding his feet.
He didn’t have to speak.
[But we have to set up these "challenges" and are forced to have the "King" approve them.]
[How... boring.]
BOOM!
A massive explosion of energy erupted across the entire [Colossal Space], shaking the platform beneath Sam’s feet.
A gargantuan figure appeared above him.
’Haha...’ Sam let out a nervous smile as he looked up, ’They’re... big. That’s right.’
ZAP!
The colossal figure made entirely of electricity descended, forming high above the platform.
Its shape was humanoid but made of pure, crackling lightning.
Its eyes glowed brightly, sparking with power as they stared down at him.
[But we cannot fight in our "Colossal" forms unfortunately. It would disadvantage us.]
Zap!
The towering creature began to shrink rapidly.
’I guess they DO have normal-sized forms,’ Sam thought with relief, ’Good.’
He had no idea how he would beat them otherwise.
[The sa way we killed the "Darkness Monarch"]
"Hm..." Sam scratched his chin. "True."
But the shrinking form ant sothing else too.
The battle was about to start.
And the mont the figure reached its "true" form, Sam knew the fight would begin.
