Ding!
[Congratulations to Sam Walker for leveling up to Level 10 of the Forsaken Rank!]
By the ti the sound faded, every single monster in the [Sixth Zone] was dead.
Sam stood in the middle of the carnage, his Primordial Sword dripping with the thick blood of the creatures he had just slain.
He hadn’t used a single spirit during the entire fight.
He didn’t need to.
The sword’s tendrils had done their job—absorbing every monster core they pierced, feeding him their energy again and again until nothing remained alive.
"Phew," Sam muttered, a grin forming across his face as he sheathed the sword. "I guess that ans..."
Ding!
[You have reached the maximum level of the Forsaken Rank!]
[You may now go through an advancent task to reach Immortal Rank.]
[Chosen Difficulty: Hell]
[Giving appropriate advancent task...]
Sam watched the crimson panels appear in front of him one after another.
He was used to them by now.
They always ca when he leveled up—announcing each new milestone, each new challenge.
But this one felt different.
Even with all his experience, there was a flicker of unease in him.
This advancent task would determine whether he could truly rise to the Immortal Rank, and it wasn’t sothing that could be taken lightly.
Ding!
[You will be given the hardest advancent task possible. Surpass their determination.]
"Hah..." Sam chuckled under his breath. "Bring it on."
[SSS-Ranked Advancent Task: Reach the ’Soul’ Realm.]
"...Oh."
For a mont, he just stood there, staring blankly at the glowing words.
He had expected sothing else—maybe a tid mission, or an order to slay the last two monarchs.
But this?
"Reach the [Soul] Realm..." he repeated quietly.
His grin widened, though his eyes darkened.
"I see now."
There were three realms that made up this world—the [Lower Realm], the [Upper Realm], and one last realm that had always remained beyond his reach.
The [Soul Realm].
He had known it existed, even before the system confird it.
It was where the [Colossals] resided. Where the [King] ruled.
And where the greatest dangers of existence awaited.
It was the final boundary. The true end of all things.
And now, that was where his task would take him.
"I’ll have to get there while being level one of the Immortal Rank..." Sam muttered. "That’s why it’s called the hardest advancent task."
If he had been allowed to ascend to Immortal Rank here in the [Upper Realm], he could have spent weeks or months growing stronger, grinding through enemies until he reached level ten before moving on.
But no, this challenge wouldn’t allow that.
The system wanted him to move forward imdiately, to face what ca next without rest, without preparation.
It wanted him to push his limits.
To survive only through pure determination.
Even so, Sam’s resolve didn’t falter.
He had always known it would co to this.
If he had to go alone, he would.
If the path ahead was nothing but ruin and death, then so be it.
He would keep moving.
[Proceed =)]
Sam exhaled deeply, closing his eyes for a mont.
"That’s what you ant by ’this would be one of our last breaks,’ isn’t it?" he said quietly.
He had wondered what [Hell-Mode Analysis] ant before, when it told him that hell was coming.
He thought maybe it referred to the next mission.
But now he understood.
Once he entered the [Soul Realm], there would be no turning back.
No more rest. No more peace.
[=)]
"Hah..."
Sam shook his head, smiling faintly.
"Fine. Then I’ll just finish what’s left here."
All he needed now was to kill the two remaining monarchs, complete the [Seventh Mission], and then step into that final realm.
That was where everything would end—where he would finally understand the truth behind it all.
It hadn’t even been two hours since he left the mansion, which ant he still had ti to prepare.
Primordial Wings!
Flap!
With a rush of dark energy, massive wings sprouted from his back, stretching wide.
He beat them once and launched himself into the sky at full speed.
The world blurred beneath him as he flew across the shattered land.
In only a few minutes, the massive green shimr of the [Sixth Barrier] ca into view.
He stopped just short of it, hovering in the air.
He couldn’t see anything beyond the barrier’s surface—it was like looking into thick glass filled with swirling light.
But he wondered if the last two monarchs would speak to him, like the [Darkness Monarch] once had.
After all, that one had taunted him before the fight.
Would these two try the sa?
He waited. Nothing.
"Hm."
Silence.
If he wanted to clear the [Seventh Mission], he would have to kill them both.
But if they chose to hide, if they refused to face him, then how was he supposed to complete it?
[We’ll tear through the entire realm to find them =)]
He smirked slightly at the ssage.
"Yeah. I guess we will."
He lingered for a few more minutes, watching the green light flicker before him.
Ten minutes passed. Still nothing.
"Alright," Sam said to himself. "Then I’ll wait until later."
He knew that if he crossed this barrier now, he wouldn’t be able to return.
And he had promised to spend ti with Belle and Seraphine before heading out again.
He wasn’t going to waste that chance.
Opening his [Realm Map], he selected his mansion within the [Forsaken Kingdom].
Fwish! Ding!
In an instant, the scenery shifted.
When his vision cleared, he was already standing in front of his ho.
He walked in and found Belle and Seraphine lounging on the couch together.
"Already back?" Belle asked, grinning.
"The monsters weren’t strong enough to hold ," Sam said simply, taking a seat. "Guess I can spend the day with you two before we go out tonight."
Both Belle and Seraphine’s faces lit up instantly.
The rare hint of excitent in their eyes almost made Sam laugh.
"By the way," Sam continued, leaning back between them, "you said you’d tell sothing about the prophecy and the Primordials."
His eyes shifted to Seraphine.
"I want to know now, since we have ti."
"Oh~" Seraphine blinked, realizing she had indeed promised that.
She looked over at Belle, who shrugged.
It was clear both of them were hesitant to talk about it.
Was it because the truth was unpleasant?
Or because it directly involved him, the last Primordial?
Either way, Sam wasn’t about to let it go.
"Tell ," he said with a grin. "And I’ll give you three million Forsaken Coins to do whatever you want."
He had earned over ten million coins from completing the sixth mission.
He didn’t plan to use them anymore.
Once he reached the [Soul Realm], the rules would change.
The system’s currency probably wouldn’t even exist there.
So he might as well spend it now.
Belle’s eyes widened slightly.
Seraphine blinked in surprise, then looked at her friend again.
"I an, the coins are mostly gonna go to maintaining the mansion," Seraphine said, shrugging—but she couldn’t hide her faint smile. "But sure, I’ll take it."
Without another word, she stood up.
Her fingers began to glow with soft green light as her eyes flared with the sa color.
Fwish! Ding!
She spread her arms wide, and a massive verdant panel materialized in front of them, hovering above the table.
"I’ll start by saying we don’t know everything," Seraphine warned. "This is just what I’ve managed to gather. The real truth might be far greater, or worse."
"That’s fine," Sam replied, his tone calm but sharp. "Any information helps."
"Alright then."
Sam leaned forward slightly, eyes locked on the glowing panel.
This was it, the first real information he would ever learn about the Primordials themselves.
He had wondered about them since the beginning, what they were, where they ca from, and what role they truly played in all of this.
If anyone had a piece of that truth, it was those that knew about the "prophecy" and thus tried so hard to eradicate them.
So he listened closely.
This was the mont before his next journey. Before he stepped into the [Soul Realm].
He would take in every word. Because soon, he would face the truth with his own eyes.
