“Are you listening to , Vincent?!”
“Y... Yes!”
Wisana was startled and quickly turned back to the person in front of him. He took the earphones out of his ears.
“Who gave you permission to listen to the radio in my class?!”
A loud voice sounded along with a hand that slamd on the water board in front of the man.
“Well, it’s boring,” Wisana murmured.
“You’ve gotten so nerves!” She grabbed his ear and twisted it. “Even though you’ve passed my first test, it doesn’t an you can just relax in my class now. Don’t you know that we don’t have ti anymore? Take Samie and Mo as good examples!”
Wisana glanced at the two dragon girls next to him. They looked cute sitting with their legs tucked back to one side with screens in front of them and wearing those silver-frad glasses.
“You can’t do this, love. The training is important, but the lecture is equally important.” Sarquros pouted.
“Bad father. You don’t listen to grandma.” Mona Lisa said.
The surrounded man could only scratch his cheek and turned the other way to sigh. Why would he need these lectures, anyway? It was boring. He thought that he was good at sneaking and the hag got him!
The bored man let out a long sigh.
“Stop with the long face, brat.” Baron scolded. “I’ll explain it one more ti about your targets.”
“Targets?” Wisana raised his eyebrow.
“Yes, each of you will have your own target. Sander and I spent a lot of ti thinking about which one in the Core that each of you will face to keep our advantage as much as possible.”
“Why do we have to? Just take down anyone in front of you.”
Boom!!
Wisana opened his mouth widely because of Baron’s powerful chalk throwing. She just threw it past Wisana’s face. It dropped to the ground and disintegrated!
“If you ever interfere with my lecture again, that will be your brain, understood?”
Baron looked completely horrifying when she played with colorful sticks of chalk in her hands. Wisana could only swallow his saliva. The two dragon girls giggled to see the man’s pale face.
“I have to do that to raise our winning chance. I’m not here with you just to train, but also to keep an eye on you and see which one of the enemies each of you should be paired up with and what kind of strategy will be to our advantage. I can say that no matter how good the strategy is, our winning chance is still 30%.”
Her calm got Wisana to sigh softly before he nodded.
Baron only shook her head wearily. She wrote nas on the board and the image of each person popped up next to the na. What a futuristic blackboard.
“First, this man, Aaron.” Baron pointed at the image of a man. He looked aggressive with his red eyes and spikey blue hair. “He’s an expert in spear. He uses the Trident of Poseidon, a weapon of the god. He’s a dangerous man that you’ve fought before, rember?”
Wisana nodded and recalled the fight in the middle of the west ocean. He still rembered the man who took control of Poseidon. His aggressiveness was incomparable.
“He’d definitely target Ran,” Baron said while dragging Sander’s na closer to Aaron’s. Their cartoon images stared at each other.
“So cute.” The dragons seed to like that.
Baron smiled and continued.
“For Aaron, he’s better at teamwork. I just know that Emilia will be with him.”
She dragged Emilia’s na next to Aaron’s. The cartoon image of a small girl with brown neck-length hair and blue eyes appeared beside Aaron. They started to kick Sander.
“Ah! Mr. Sander is bullied.” Mona Lisa screeched.
“Yes, they must be planning to get Ran because Aaron knows Ran more than anyone and vice versa. They used to be partners. I want soone to drag Emilia out to leave them alone.”
Then, Baron dragged another na closer to Sander’s and that got Wisana to turn pale.
“Ah... big sister.” Sarquros’s voice was high-pitched.
“I’ll have Maysa take care of Emilia,” Baron said.
“Wait, calm down.” Wisana interrupted. “What do you an, you want May to deal with such a strong opponent? I’ve fought her before, and she can even control Gaia. May’s good, but she’s not enough for her. This is too risky.”
“How do you know that your girlfriend won’t be capable?”
Baron smiled at him. Wisana parted his lips in awe.
“Ran has been keeping his eye on this woman for the past five days. He guarantees that Maysa is the one for Emilia right now.”
“But...”
Wisana hesitated. He admitted that Maysa was one of the best players out there and he would not want to fight a girl with strategies like her. However, Emilia is really good. From the look of it, she was probably in the analysis field and had a lot of tricks in her head like Maysa. What made a difference between them was Gaia, the Earth God who could absorb all kinds of magic and ca with the thickest defense!
“Believe in your girl, little boy.”
Baron smiled sweetly. Wisana halted.
“If you love her, believe in her like how she believes in you. I’m sure she’ll take down Emilia.”
“I do, too.” Sarquros took Wisana’s hand.
“I don’t really like her, but I believe the sa.”
Mona Lisa said with her face flushed a little red. Wisana blinked and nodded slowly. He was worried about Maysa, but he believed in her. If she was his right-hand girl...
She would definitely win!!
----------------
“I can take her.”
The owner of the sweet voice was confident. Her grey eyes looked at a man in front of her who was wearing his glasses and a white gown, as expected of the ‘Assoc. Prof.’ in front of his na. Sander smiled at the girl’s determined eyes and nodded.
So many boys and girls were sitting in front of the blackboard. It was a plan eting at the southern base. Sander was explaining everything to the kids.
“Do you think so, May? You know how good that woman is. It’s too risky to go alone. I can help you...”
Waree said with a worried face. She turned to look at Sander to ask for his opinion. He only shook his head.
“No, that woman has Gaia, who absorbs supportive magic. Don’t forget that you’re a magician, Waree. You’re the least capable one to go against her. I don’t see anyone more capable than May. And I’ve taught her so many extra moves to use on Emilia, right~?”
He turned to Maysa and smiled. Maysa smiled back at him.
“But...”
“Believe , Nam. I’ll definitely win.”
Maysa grabbed her bestie’s shoulder with a confident smile. Seeing that, Waree was at a loss for words. She was worried about her friend, but she believed in her because she had never let anyone down.
An image of a cartoon Maysa on the blackboard dragged Emilia to the other side, leaving Aaron and Sander alone.
“When May and I are fighting Aaron and Emilia, the rest of them will scatter around. Another two who will definitely be paired up are Allen and Nero.”
