It was a quiet Saturday afternoon in the Silpitakkul mansion in the center of Bangkok. Everyone knew that this was the ho of ‘Payu’, the owner of Pride and the wizard of e-comrce of this generation.

The gigantic mansion was located on a no less than four thousand square-ter piece of land. The mansion was decorated so beautifully. The maids all bowed down respectfully whenever they walked past soone.

It was sothing Maysa did not think that she would be able to experience in this lifeti. She thought that this kind of ho would only be in a TV drama. She had heard that Waree, her best friend, belonged to a high society, but Waree was so down to earth that she totally forgot about it. She could not help but be amazed.

They followed Mavin inside up to the second floor.

“And what do you have with that you have to call in?”

Wisana said so abruptly. The tall figure in front of him glanced back.

“Do I need sothing to call my son back ho?” Mavin asked.

“Of course,” Wisana said. “I’m not free all day, pa. Tons of work are waiting for . And why here? You know I hate it here.”

“..Na.”

Maysa quickly interrupted her boyfriend since his ‘I hate it here’ got Waree’s facial expression changed. Even though she did not know much about the two houses, she knew that this mansion was of the woman who stole their father from them forever.

Wisana glanced at Waree and sighed.

“Look at you,” Mavin said. “You haven’t gotten married yet and you’re thinking about leaving your pa and ma at ho.”

“Who’s leaving who, exactly, pa?”

The older man listened to that and realized that his son was not in a mood to joke around. He used to think that sending Waree to be with him would help lessen his pride. It turned out that it had not and even worse, he did not seem to care about it anymore.

“Fine. You’re a pain, you know that?” Mavin sighed. “Why? I just want to et my daughter and what’s wrong with that? You’re only the driver, so stop complaining.”

“Then, I’m going back.”

He did not joke about it because he turned around and was about to leave for real. Waree had to yank him back while Mavin let out a long sigh.

“I’m kidding!” He put stress on his words. “Why is this brat so sensitive?”

“So, you only call us here for a al, right? If so, I have to excuse myself. I still have a lot of work to do that I have to hand in next week.”

“Na.”

Again, Maysa hit his arm to stop him. Seeing Maysa’s eyes and Waree’s pouty face, Wisana scratched his head.

“...What’s your business, then?” Wisana asked, trying his best to suppress his annoyance.

The dad let out a long sigh.

“It seems like the old man Payu wants to talk to you.”

“The old man?” Wisana raised his eyebrow.

“Grandfather?” Waree said and everyone turned to look at her. “What does he want with big bro?”

“Exactly.”

Wisana narrowed his eyes. It was true that he knew the old man as his dad’s father-in-law and Waree’s grandfather. Moreover, he was also the CEO of Pride. Even a two-year-old knew him. How he ca to know about him was strange. It was even more impossible for him to have sothing to say.

“I don’t know much.” Mavin turned to his daughter. “The old man said that he wants to talk to you as Vincent.”

Hearing that, Wisana let out a scoff and looked at Maysa.

“What do you an, uncle? As Vincent?”

“You call uncle again.” Mavin pouted. “I told you that you can call pa, little May.”

“..O... Okay.”

“Don’t change the subject, pa. What does he an? And why does he want to talk to ? Why here?”

“Damn!” Mavin swore loudly. “Which one you want answer first? Pick one!”

“Then, why does he...”

“No need. His room is right there. You can just go in and talk to him.”

Mavin pointed at the wooden door at the end of the hallway. There was a sign on the door saying that it was an office. Mavin led the kids to the door and knocked on it. There was only silence as an answer.

Mavin opened the door and pushed his son inside.

“It seems like the old man isn’t here. You go in and wait. I’ll go get him.”

“Huh? Wait... What is this?”

Wisana was pushed inside. Waree and Maysa were about to follow him in when Mavin grabbed Waree’s shoulder.

“As for you, your mom misses you so much. Let’s take May in and introduce them.”

“Eh? And what about Na?” Waree asked.

“He’s okay here alone.”

“Wait, are you leaving here?”

“Don’t be such a coward. The old man only wants to talk to you.”

He was about to close the door when Waree quickly blurted out as she saw Wisana’s confused face.

“Don’t worry, big bro, grandpa is very kind...”

Slam!

She had not finished the sentence and Mavin closed the door, leaving Wisana blinking there.

What was happening?

His holiday was ruined by having to take his sister to the driving test and being called to pa’s mansion to talk to soone he had not seen before.

He thought about it and let out a long sigh.

It was boring enough for him to be here. Why did he have to be with a so-called ‘the wizard of e-comrce’ like this?!

“What a day.” He could only complain and scratch his head “Baron’s also waiting for in the evening. Why am I being bullied by older people?”

He whined and walked inside the room.

He sighed wearily. He could not do anything, except let it be and survive it. There was a work desk next to a big mirror. A sofa was there with a matching table. The ancient gramophone was giving out an auspicious vibe.

“It looks like an office.”

Wisana said. He had been here before, but this was the first ti that he had been inside a room other than the living room. It was decorated so simply, and everything was so clean without a single grain of dust to be seen. It was obvious that the owner of this room must be very strict.

Wisana glanced at the sofa and decided to sit there. However, before he did, he accidentally saw sothing on the bookshelf.

There were a lot of photos in fras, which attracted Wisana very much. He walked to the shelf and looked at each of them.

“They look so old.”

Judging from the color, Wisana could see that one should be more than fifty years old.

Most of them were of a happy man with his short slicked-back black hair that made him look like a bad boy. Judging from his cheerful smile and his activities in the photos, be it mountain climbing, horseback riding, holding a trophy on a boxing ring, or playing guitar at the bonfire in front of a tent on a mountain...

...This might be the young Mr. Payu.

Wisana thought. It was obvious how much he had done. There were also photos of him and his friends.

“Uwah... There’re girls with him, too.”

Wisana was having fun. He turned to another photo of a young Mr. Payu with a beautiful lady. And the girl was a foreigner!

“He must be very attractive.” The boy giggled.

And there were so many photos of him and this foreign lady with back-length blonde hair. Her face was strangely familiar. The more he looked at the photos, the more he felt that.

Until he got to the far-right photo...

It was a photo of this foreign girl in a wedding dress and that cheery man. They bumped their forehead, looking so lively in their wedding ceremony.

A wedding photo...

That ant she was Waree’s grandmother.

“Ah... the French grandmother.”
