“You’re the heart, Wisana.”

“...The heart?”

Wisana repeated with confusion, but the other two caught each other’s eyes. That was the first ti that Maysa smiled at Manoch while they agreed to what Sander said.

“...Well, I don’t understand.”

“You will soday. Until then, I’m sure you’ll beco one of the best players that makes fa for our class just as much as Marcus does.”

He said before he patted Wisana softly on the shoulder to encourage him.

And Wisana just made a blank face, nodding even though he was still not catching up, making the giggling co out from his friends.

“Alright. Enough with the chit-chat now. Let’s get back to the main topic.”

Sander cut into the subject before he brought out his inventory screen to get two pieces of paper and a thick book on the table.

“These papers are the reference of your quest approval. Don’t forget to bring them to the class registration office, when you get back to Tristan.”

“Okay.”

Wisana took the papers.

He noticed there was an icon looking like a fist with the aura of power on the head of the papers. So, he guessed that this was the symbol of the office for sure.

“And this book.” Sander handed the item to him. “It has everything you need to know about the magic warrior class. I wrote it thoroughly with all the details. So, find so ti to read it.”

He took the book obediently, while he thought to himself that he would never be wasting ti reading it!

He did not even read the ga manual book!!

“So, I heard that you’re already level 38, right Wisana?” Sander asked.

“Yes, sir.”

“Um, that’s not too high for the class, since it mainly requires basic physical strength. If your levels were too low, it’d be hard to play in the class anyway. The suitable level to play in the magic warrior class should be around 25-30. So, your level is just good.”

“Is that going to be disadvantageous?” Maysa asked with worry.

“Not at all. As we all know that in Pride, we earn so skills by unlocking it, not by upgrading our level. So, it’s not about the level of the players, it’s about knowing the conditions of the skills.”

Wisana nodded with half understanding, half dumbfounded.

Sander smiled widely when he saw that.

“But now I’m going to give you 5 new skills as a gift. Actually, the other masters only give 3 skills. But I like you, so I’m going to make a special case for you.”

“...Thank you.”

The one being biased was smiling so big.

“Well, now let introduce the class of magic warriors,” the master started lecturing with a serious voice. “Our class focuses on the physical attacks rged with magic. We use all 5 elents in the fight, earth, water, air, fire, and light. And for each elent that we rge into our body, it will affect us differently, too. ...are you still following?”

“Yes.”

“Okay, let’s continue. Each elent has different abilities, the earth increases armor points, the water increases HP healing rate, the air increases speed, the fire increases attack points, and the light increases magic points. You need to choose the elents that are suitable for the situation. Also, you have to know the magical advantages and the disadvantages of the enemies too.”

“What are the magical advantages and disadvantages?” Wisana asked.

“The elents that go along, or against the monsters, considering their elents, Wisana. For example, if the enemy is from the fire elent, then you should attack it with water elent skills. So, you can do double damage on it.”

“Oh.”

Wisana nodded in acknowledgnt as he started to see the picture clearly for the first ti. It was like when they attacked Lord Inferno with a big combo of water bombs.

“And about which elent go along, or against which, you can learn more in the book I gave you. I’ve already written it with all the details.”

“Okay, sir.”

“Let’s move on to how to earn the EXP and the monster types that you should avoid. The ones that you can easily fight with are the durable types. The more armor points they have, the more advantageous it is for you. However, you should avoid enemies with higher magic points than you do. The bigger the difference is, the more disadvantage it becos for you.”

“But why? Isn’t this class good with physical attacking? It should have the advantage over the magic types that have low armor points.”

Maysa argued with logic.

Sander turned to smile kindly at her.

“You’re right, girl,” he said. “The magical types tended to have low armor points and low movent speed. But the magic warrior is not the type that takes down the enemies in one hit either. We’re neither warriors nor mages, but we are the fighters that rge both knowledge and styles into one. So, the attack of the magic warrior includes 50% of physical strength and 50% of magic. And if our magic points are less than the enemies’, our total damage will be decreased by 50%. Don’t forget this law. The deduction of the magical attack and the physical attack are not the sa. Also, keep in mind that we shouldn’t drag on a fight with archmages for too long because if we wait until they can finish casting spells, we’re dood. You got that?”

“Yes.”

Wisana affird that, thinking that he had a lot more to have Maysa explain to him later. He had just been in the ga for two days. If he had to process all this information right away, his brain would be blown up for sure!

“Good. So, in conclusion, our class is strongest when we fight those durable, physical attack types, and weakest when with the magical type. Never forget this.”

“Oh, and how do I do the magical rging thing, sir?”

“About that, I think you better figure it out by yourself. You don’t seem to be the type that will understand verbal lecturing anyway. So, I guess your brain works better with experiential lessons.”

Hearing that, Maysa nodded in agreent.

Wisana made a blank face, blinking a couple of tis before realizing that he was just taken as stupid!

“Oh, and another thing,” Sander added.

“Yeah?”

“About your equipnt and the weapons used in fighting, you should wear sothing light and dexterous. You’re more likely to be the agility type anyway, right? And for the weapon, I suggest you don’t wear those knuckle-dusters, they’re using up too much space.”

He said, pointing at Wisana’s white bandage on his wrist.

“But I need to punch in a fight.”

“I know that. That’s why I’m giving you this.”

He put sothing on the table after he spoke. It was a glove with half-length finger columns that revealed the top-half of the wearer’s fingers with a silver cross stitched on the back.

“Grand cross!”

Maysa and Manoch cried out in unison again.

“Grand cross, indeed.” Sander let out a big smile. “A good point of this glove is that it has strong damage, but it’s not counted as a weapon, because it’s registered as an accessory instead. This way, your weapon slots will not be taken up like when you’re wearing the knuckle-dusters. So, you’ll be able to carry more kinds of weapons, and use your adept boxing skills at the sa ti.”

“I see.” Wisana smiled understandingly.

“Listen, Wisana, judging from your senses and figure, you seem to be the kind of agility player who will dodge before taking down the enemy with one hit in its weak spot. That’s why your attacks have to be varied. Just punching and kicking won’t be enough. So, you need other weapons to support you in the fight, too. Swords, spears, draggers, staff, you should try out these weapons and practice them well, or your attacks will be too predictable for your enemies. Do you understand?”

“Yes, I do.”

Hearing the affirmation, Sander gave a relaxing smile before he handed the grand cross to Wisana right away.

“Good. Here, take it.”

“Eh? Are you sure that I can have it?”

His eyes widened a little, unlike Manoch’s that looked like they were about to bulge out through his glasses.

“That’s right. Are you sure about giving it to Na like this? With respect, sir, but you’re not going to ask for it back later, right? Don’t tell that you don’t know that this grand cross is worth more than three million in the market!”

PRUUUD!

“Three million?!”
