“Now, can you stop being stubborn?” Sven asked. “Doing this won’t make you achieve anything, let’s get back up there and talk. We’ll find you sothing to eat. I have a lot to discuss with you.”
After speaking, he smiled. And it was a smile that made Nuchjaree annoyed even more.
“Like I have other options, Mister?!”
So, she replied sarcastically and let the man do as he pleased for now. There was no use in trying to resist right now.
After this, she had to be calr. If she did sothing like this again, that would not be a good thing. Anyway, she might have to thank this guy for coming all the way down here to save her when he could just let her die uselessly.
“Well, I have to say this. Your body really isn’t attractive. Even though we’re so close like this, I still don’t feel anything at all.”
But these words made a bright young woman like her hear sothing snapping in her brain with a very loud noise.
“You’re-freaking-pervert!!”
“Ouch, stop wriggling. We’re both going to fall. Hey, you! Ouch!”

“How’re you doing, bro?”
A gentle voice greeted quietly, making a tall man who was standing by the river flinch a little. He needed a crutch on each arm to support him up, showing that he had been going through a serious injury until now.
His erald, green eyes turned to look behind him emotionlessly. His brown hair was now kept up with a hairband like he was annoyed that it fell on his face. His face which always looked playful was not showing any emotion at all now.
“With this condition, I can’t say that I’m fine, right?”
Tunwa replied in a deadpan voice, making the one who ca to check on him let out a sigh. Then he walked to stop at his side without saying anything more.
“You should be resting right now. Even though it was just a bit part of the curse, it was still a special curse from Sven. Its effect might beco chronic for a long ti if it doesn’t get treated properly.”
“Yeah,” Tunwa replied briefly, looking at his left leg that was covered in dispelling bandage charms made by Miss Stella. Then he sighed.
“How’s Shin?” Tunwa asked.
“Compared to us, he’s a lot worse,” Wisana answered, sighing. “Both his hands got hit by the curse directly. For now, we can only hope that Miss Stella’s charms will dispel it a bit. Because if they won’t, then I don’t know what else to do since she’s the best white mage that our guild has already.”
“Right, how are you?”
“I’m fine. This kind of wound will be completely healed by tomorrow.” Wisana replied, shrugging.
“And your child? I heard that she got hit as well.”
“Mo’s okay now. Jinnie put her in bed in my inventory already.”
“I see.”
That was once again that Tunwa just responded mindlessly. His eyes were locked on the large wide lake as the water surface was reflecting the lights around it and hundreds of the group of stars above.
Silence fell between the two slowly. Wisana did not say anything. He just looked up at the night sky calmly. His amber eyes then glanced at his best friend and saw that the other was barely moving when normally, Tunwa was a talkative person. It was rare to see him being this quiet.
“Are you mad at ?”
Wisana asked, making the other pause. His erald, green eyes looked at his best friend from their corners, before he let out a soft throaty laugh.
“What would I be mad at you about?” He asked back.
“About I didn’t let you save Nuch.”
Tunwa did not answer right away. He purposedly paused for quite a while, before letting out a sigh.
“Yeah, I am.” He said, before turning his face away. “Not at you, but at myself for being so weak. She was just right there in front of , but I still let her be taken anyway.”
Wisana was quiet, and that was the first ti Wisana hung his head down.
“It’s not just you, Tun. I’m weak, too. I was holding her in my arms, but still let her slip through my hands.”
“That wound, Nuch did it, didn’t she?”
Tunwa stared at the wound on Wisana’s shoulder before the owner of those amber eyes just curled up a smile and nodded.
“I just realized how dangerous our friend actually is today. I barely made it back here because of that girl.”
His words made the other crack out a chuckle. The face that looked mature once in a while looked up at the sky, too.
“There’re many more things you don’t know about her, Na,” Tunwa said smilingly. “There’re plenty of wonderful things in her. And she might seem to be dashing and strong-headed with no girl-like manners at all, but she’s not as tough as she shows us. To be surrounded by enemies by herself like that, I can’t imagine how it feels for her.”
Wisana sensed sothing in his best friend’s voice so well.
Even though Tunwa bickered with her all the ti,
It seed that he always looked out for her as well.
Nuchjaree was not a tough, strong girl like Maysa. She was actually a sensitive and very stubborn woman. And the only person who truly understood her personality was Tunwa.
And it was not surprising for Wisana why this guy was this worried.
“She’ll be fine. Trust .”
Wisana said in a gentle voice. His rough hand was placed on his close friend’s shoulder.
Their eyes caught each other for a second before Tunwa clenched his jaws and turned his face away.
“I want to believe that, too, Na.” He said in a tense voice. “She’s going to be stuck there for a long ti. The war prisoner system will force her to be online all the ti to prevent her from getting away from the ga. If the player logs off, they will keep losing their EXP until it’s all out. You still rember this point, right, Na?”
“Yeah, I do.”
“So, you also know that Nuch will never lose everything she’s been working so hard building up with us.”
“Yeah, I know that.”
“When we go offline, she’ll say that it’s okay, that we don’t have to worry about her, just keep on playing the ga, and that we shouldn’t be trouble trying to rescue her.”
“That sounds like our friend.”
His hand squeezed Tunwa’s shoulder tighter. The owner of those erald, green eyes sighed out harshly like he hoped to push all his worries out with it as well. Tunwa pressed his lips together, before glancing at Wisana again like he was implying sothing.
“And you know that I won’t just do nothing like she wants, right?”
The one who was asked did not say anything. He just gave the other a smile and nodded in response.
“If my legs didn’t beco like this, I would have traveled to rescue her by myself by now.”
“I know. And you wouldn’t listen to again if I tried to stop you this ti.”
“Right.”
Tunwa said with a serious expression. The two best friends looked each other in the eyes for a mont, before Wisana was the one who took his eyes away first. He was not smiling, nor frowning. The hand on Tunwa’s shoulder was loosened up, before slapping a couple tis on there. Then, the owner of it decided to turn and walk away.
“Don’t worry about that, bro,” Wisana said in a cheerful voice. “It’s not just you who’s restless right now, but the Nesis won’t just sit back and do nothing when Nuch’s still a hostage like this.”
“...”
Tunwa did not reply. He was just looking at his best friend’s back calmly.
“But take care of yourself properly, for now. Try to get healed in two days, dude. And when the right ti cos, we’re going to take Nuch back. I promise.”
