The moon took the shift from the sun finally.
The first battle of the war ended at 4:30 p.m. The total ti was about 7 hours, counting from the beginning of the war. As for the result, the army that had claid more area in the first fight was the red pirates.
Even though the result was satisfying, the damage they got was too much and it was still quite concerning. Especially the Nesis guild, which had 48 dead counts from 140 mbers. In other words, that was about 30% of them.
At the mont, the chief players set up an urgent eting right away. The biggest problem of the red pirates was how they had lost too many forces, and they had to wait a week or two before those would respawn back in the army again. So, they needed to discuss the solutions for that and their next goal as an army as soon as possible.
In the anti, all 9 major unit leaders and a hundred more from minor ones had started the eting stressfully. It was 10 p.m. now, but the eting did not seem like it would be over soon.
However, it seed like there was a leader who would rather sneak out of the eting to enjoy the view outside by himself.
Right now, the tall man with black glossy hair and amber eyes was sitting on the back porch by the water at the magic warrior office that was temporarily closed. His eyes were looking up at the cloudless sky. Tonight, there was a new moon, so there was no trace of it at all. There were only groups and stars sparkling there.
After that, the man looked down at his bruised body in a white tank top. There were bandages on his two arms. On his left shoulder, a bandage covered it all the way to his chest with a paper charm sticking on it clearly.
“Drink this. It helps with your wound.”
Suddenly, there was a slowed voice speaking up as soone with a slim body walked through the dark in the office and appeared at the porch. She had dark-colored lips and pale white skin that was outstanding out of the nightti, the sa color as the teacup that was filled with a strange-colored liquid in her hand.
“What’s that? The color doesn’t look delicious.” The man asked.
“It’s so herb that can relieve the curse’s effects. Well, I just upgraded my ‘herb mixing’ to level 6. so, it really works with a level 3 curse like this.”
Hearing that, the man gave her a smile.
His rough hand took the teacup from Lala easily as he nodded slightly in response.
“Thank you, Lala.”
“You’re welco. Tell if you need anything, okay?” She said, tilting her head in response. “Anyway, you got beaten up really bad this ti, Mister Wisana. I haven’t seen your worn-out state in quite a while now. Did you run into a dinosaur or sothing?”
The one who was asked cracked into a laugh, feeling both amused and weary sohow.
“It’d be a lot easier to deal with if it was a dinosaur, but it’s a lot worse. Because it was my friend who shot at close range.”
“That’s how you got that wound?”
Lala pointed at the wound on Wisana’s shoulder, before smiling sweetly at him. It was a smile that Wisana was quite surprised about because he had never seen her do that, ever since the first ti they t.
“That was never Miss Nuchjaree’s intention to do that. She was being controlled back then, wasn’t she?”
“Yeah, she was.”
The man spoke as his hand touched the flesh wound he just got, and that was all to trigger a stinging pain like an electric shock in it. Wisana squeezed his eyes shut and ground his teeth.
“You should drink that herb tea. It really helps you.”
Lala repeated while she was pointing to the cup in Wisana’s hand.
“Huh? Yeah, right, thanks.”
After she insisted, he raised the cup up like he was thanking her, before drinking that strange-colored liquid all at once. However, he had not swallowed it down yet when his face started creasing into a weird expression.
“Oh, I forgot to tell you that it has a very bitter taste.” Lala put her hand on her lips like she had just realized. “But like people said, bitter in the strong dicine. Just bear with that a bit.”
Hearing that, Wisana really had an urge to get up and gaze at this NPC right in the eyes. But he could not because he was tensing every muscle to push the herb down his throat!
It took him a while to succeed in that. His rough hand handed the ceramic cup back to Lala, hanging his head low as he panted.
“Damn it!!”
After he got it together again, he unintentionally shouted out aloud. Lala did not even flinch when the other did that. She just took the cup back from the hand of the young man, knowing it well he wanted to smash it on the floor. But she could see why he skipped the eting to spend ti by himself here.
That was the first ti he lost in a war.
Of course, it would be difficult to accept it.
And his close friend was captured, too.
Wisana probably wanted to break things into pieces right now, and it would be best if the things were William’s neck. But this guy was incredibly good at keeping low-key. If it were soone else, they would have shouted through the camp by now.
“Call if you need anything. I’ll be knitting inside.”
After that, she bowed her head down a little. Her manner had gotten gentler after she t Jinnie. It might not be wrong to call that between close NPCs’ things.
Right now, there was left only the tall man who was still clenching his jaws. His eyes looked at his clenched fists placed on the wooden chair on the porch.
“Damn it.” He spoke up. “Vincent of the Nesis nonsense. The only thing he did was run scared back, beaten up. What a loser.”
----------------
The mory started being recalled little by little. He still rembered the pain accurately in every sense because it was pierced in his shoulder.
He rembered her eyes as well. Nuchjaree was his best friend. Those rust-colored eyes looked drifting. They were barely looking at him, but her hands were drawing the arrow on the bow, pointing in his direction.
‘Nuch?’
He said her na softly. His rough hand was touching the fresh wound he got from his friend. The light arrow was still sticking out of his shoulder, even.
He did not understand why she shot him, after he knocked the guy nad Bhira out, and rescued her successfully. He was carrying her with both arms and hurriedly retreating out. Then Nuchjaree shot him in the shoulder at close range and there was no way for him to evade it at all!
‘Vincent, get away from her. Her body’s being controlled. She’s going to kill you!’
Shin shouted in shock.
