The journalists?

“Excuse ,” Maysa called to the staff who was walking ahead of them.

“Yes?”

“The GMs allow journalists in the party as well?”

The staff smiled slightly at her, knowing well what Maysa was concerned about.

“Yes, but don’t worry, Miss Maysa. Mister Thada only allows those trustworthy to be inside the hall. Also, they’ve agreed to not interrupt every guest or have any interview with them here. So, you don’t have to be worried that they would co to interrupt you.”

Maysa gasped slightly, but she nodded in understanding.

She guessed that they probably ca from the news publisher or so photographers from gas magazines. So, she thought they had to be careful not to do sothing clumsy here now, especially these two. Maysa thought as she looked at the two cheeky friends who had not yet gotten used to their clothes until now, especially Nuchjaree who had been falling off her high heels that her ankles got all hurt.

Seeing that, Maysa could only sigh out wearily.

“The Nesis guild’s seats are right here.”

It did not take long before the lady had led them to their destination. Their table was quite far from everyone else, and Wisana understood right away why the staff assigned the seats like this. Well, maybe he would have to thank Thada later for letting them have so privacy here.

“You finally show up. I’ve been waiting to see you, Mister Vincent.”

At the table, there was already a woman sitting there. She now had her shoulder-length hair tied up and kept it with a large hair pin, looking formal.

And seeing her, Wisana curled up his lips into a soft smile right away.

“Good evening, Miss Valentine.”

“Good evening.”

She replied with a gorgeous smile, and she got up as she invited them to have a seat.

Wisana turned to thank the staff again, before pulling the chairs out for his sister and Maysa to sit first, so he could sit down next to Maysa with Valentine next to his other side.

“You’re by yourself, Miss?”

“I just left early. My brother and my junior will be here in a while. But my assistant isn’t fond of this kind of event that much, so she’d rather stay in her room.”

Listening to that, Wisana nodded at her out of courtesy.

But Maysa felt strange when she saw Wisana talking to Valentine so closely that it did not seem like their first ti having a conversation. So, she elbowed him softly to get his attention, and it worked. Maysa managed to raise her eyebrows at him like she was asking for an explanation.

Wisana just turned to give her a slight smile, before rolling his eyes to Waree.

And seeing just that, Maysa gasped a little, before nodding in understanding right away.

“Is sothing wrong?” Valentine asked.

“No, it’s not. It’s just that our chief of staff thinks that it’d be good if I introduce everyone to you a little bit.”

Wisana turned back and replied to her with a plain, normal voice. No one detected the specific signal of this couple at all. And thinking about it, it was kind of amusing that the two of them had developed the skills of reading each other’s minds without even realizing it.

“Oh, yeah, I’d love that. It’d be good to introduce ourselves to each other since we will be working hard together during the war season.”

Valentine replied with a smiley face. And after hearing that, Wisana started introducing them right away.

“This one is our chief of staff, Maysa. You might have heard about her already.”

“Yeah, I have.”

Valentine said, before getting up to shake hands with Maysa.

“I’ve heard a lot about you, Miss Maysa. And when I read your interview about defeating Lord Inferno for the first ti, I felt so impressed by your strategy skill a lot.”

“Thank you.”

Maysa accepted the complint in courtesy, then she loosened her grip off the other’s hand. However, the woman in front of her was still grabbing her hand tightly, not letting go. After that Valentine curled up a smile, looking so equivocal that it made Maysa pause.

“And you’re a gunner, right, Miss Maysa?” She asked.

“...Yes, I am.”

“With the Illusion in your hands, too.”

“...”

This ti, Maysa did not say anything in reply. She knew exactly what Valentine was trying to imply. So, she smiled sweetly back at her, and she even tilted her head to the side like she was not bothered by it either.

“It’s such a sha,” Valentine said in a sweet voice, making Maysa chuckle.

“Right, it’s such a sha.”

There were only the two who were shaking hands firmly to understand what the other was trying to imply. Wisana glanced at them with concern, before hurriedly continuing to break them apart.”

“Uh, ...and this is Waree, the vice leader of the Nesis, also my sister.”

Valentine finally let go of Maysa’s hand. She turned to look at Waree consideringly. Her eyes were examining every inch of her body, to be more specific. And seeing her like that, the browned-haired girl forced up a wry smile, before holding her out to her in greeting as well.

“Hello, Miss Valentine.”

“Hi.”

The older one grabbed her hand firmly. She looked directly into Waree’s eyes like she was trying to read her mind. And seeing that, the younger one tried not to look away, because Waree was afraid that the other one would take it as rude.

After a while, Valentine curled up a sweet smile like she was satisfied about sothing.

“I see.”

She spoke up softly.

“Yes?” Waree raised her eyebrows.

“Nothing, really.” Valentine shook her head. “You look cuter in person than how people said about you. To see you with my own eyes like this, I can’t help but be in a daze as well. She really is Mister Vincent’s sister. She’s quite skilled as well, isn’t she?”

Valentine turned to ask Wisana.

“Yes, she is. She’s the sister that I am so proud of. Maybe, she could be even stronger than , too. If I didn’t have her, I wouldn’t have made it to be sitting right here now.”

"Na, that’s a little bit of an overstatent.”

Waree turned to scold her brother softly as her face started blushing a little, looking mature but also adorable that Valentine could not help but smile. anwhile, Waree started feeling that her brother was strangely backing her up too much today.

“What about these two?” Valentine turned to Nuchjaree and Tunwa next.

So, the two rivals hurriedly gave her a sweet smile, because they were going to be introduced to one of the most famous players in the ga. However, Wisana knew what they were thinking, so he slipped out a chuckle and said,

“Don’t mind them. They’re just supporting characters.”

“Hey, Na?”

A-HEM!

They unintentionally shouted his na, before the coughing sound ca from Maysa to remind them a second later. Hearing that the cheeky ones smiled embarrassedly, before whining out like...

“Well, I an, boss,” Nuchjaree said with a wry smile.

And that made Valentine start laughing right away.

“You don’t have to be too tense, everyone, I don’t mind. I’m just a normal person who prefers smiling. Anyway, who are these two?”

Finally, she turned to ask Wisana again, and the cheeky leader still could not stop being amused,

“The one on the left is Nuchjaree, the chief of the intelligence unit. And on the right is Tunwa, our chief of the field unit. They’re dating.”

“Na!”
