Chapter 955: Irritated
“Nothing, just a friend,” Ni Xuelin said as she quickly hid her phone.
“A guy? Is he interested in you?”
“No, it’s not! Stop with the questions!”
Ni Xuelin did not tell Ye Xun that she was talking with Qi Fang since it was only their first day eting each other.
Even though Qi Fang was more than 20 years older than her, he was a humorous person, and she could not stop herself from talking with him.
“I don’t care who he is, but if he wants to date my little sister, he’ll have to go through first,” Ye Xun said.
Ye Xun had already learned about Ni Xuelin being hurt by Chu Tian, and he blad himself for not finding her sooner.
“I know, I know. But I think you should take care of yourself first. Did you call Sanyan to tell her you’ve safely landed at Estan? Won’t she get angry at you if you don’t?”
Ni Xuelin tried to change the topic by bringing Huo Sanyan up.
“Let her try!” Ye Xun scolded as he got irritated as soon as Ni Xuelin ntioned Huo Sanyan.
Speaking of the devil, Ye Xun phone rang and Huo Sanyan was calling him.
As soon as Ye Xun saw the caller ID, he almost went berserk.
Ye Xun handed the phone to Ni Xuelin and said, “Please tell her that I’m not free.”
“Not doing it! I think you should just accept her, why are you hiding like a scared little kitten?”
Ni Xuelin did not want to hurt Huo Sanyan for Ye Xun as she liked the idea of Huo Sanyan being her Sister-In-Law.
“Who’s a scared little kitten? Since when am I afraid of her? See! I’m accepting the call now!”
Ye Xun accepted the call and shouted into the phone, “Hello? What do you want? I’m busy!”
Ni Xuelin heard how Ye Xun greet Huo Sanyan and tried to hold back her urge to hit her brother with a brick.
“Mr. Ye, don’t overwork yourself!” Huo Sanyan said on the other side of the phone. “Please take good care of your body. Are you eating well while you’re gone?”
“I get it! If there’s nothing else, I’m hanging up!”
Without waiting for Huo Sanyan to reply, he hung up the call, and he felt the world beco quieter.
He hoped for so quiet in his life since he went back to Estan and away from Huo Sanyan.
But little did he know that he would regret his choices one day.
There was an uninvited guest at the filming place in the evening.
More than 20 gangsters tried to collect protection fees from the crew.
The amount for the fees was so insane that it could be counted as blackmail.
“We’ve already gotten the approval from the governnt. What we’re doing is legal, why do we have to pay?” Huang Guoqiang asked the gangsters
“This is our Fifth Elder’s area! Anyone who wants to do anything here has to pay up!” the leader of the gangster’s group scolded
“Says who?”
Huang Guoqiang had experienced many things in his life, but it was his first ti seeing soone giving out such an unreasonable explanation.
There was no way he was going to pay up unless the law stated so.
