Chapter 40: Impostor

Paying attention to the whiteboard, just like nearly every other student in the class, George felt two stares. One from the back seat and another from the front seat.

"What the…" He turned back, seeing the barbarian with a neck guard staring into his soul, "hell…"

It turns out that George had perford a dangerous version of the popular pro wrestling move, the German suplex, and broke the neck of the barbarian. 'How the heck is he still here?'

He took his eyes away from the barbarian and tried focusing on the class again before accidentally locking eyes with Peyton staring back at him.

"Not this kid too!" George turned away and kept focusing on the whiteboard.

As he looked in front of him once more, Peyton had stopped staring at him and was listening to the lecture.

"Seems that Peyton is butthurt." Ja comnted as he saw this.

"What do you an?"

"Well, Peyton is the kind of guy to avenge his lost. So if he lost to soone, he would be usually the first person to beat the person he lost. But you kinda ruined that…"

George shook his head, "Why cant kids be kids here? Back in my days I rember playing with a PX69…"

"What?"

"Nothing…"

"Impostor." Ja whispered as he continued writing on his note.

George froze as he heard that word co out of Ja's mouth. "What?"

"Oz's impostor…" Ja continued.

George shook his head, "I don't know what you're talking about." He cleared his throat, pushing his chair back.

"Oh? Well, I got a news source and they said that the Erald City Special Force have found that there is a impostor of the Great Wizard who has been travelling a lot. Sir Michael is heavily involved in the search." Ja said, "This news havent gone public, but you will probably see it in the papers tomorrow."

George took a mont to breathe a sigh of relief before nodding, "Ah… So did they find him or catch him already?"

"Nope."

A few days ago…

Outside of the academy.

"We have to get out of here fast!!" Michael shouted as he ran into the carriage.

One of the Erald City guards followed inside, confused about why Sir Michael looked so scared. "Sir, what is going on?"

"Just follow my orders, we have to get to the Castle as fast as we can. And I want you to call for the Special Forces."

The guard looked at Michael, unsure, "Are you sure sir?"

"Yes, I'm sure!" The carriage started moving at such an incredible speed that the whole carriage started to shake to the point that cant be handled by the carriage.

As they reached the Castle, Michael stord out of the carriage, "Rember call the Special Forces, and bring the captain too!" He shouted at the guard.

"Where to?"

Michael stopped before turning, "War room."

The guard nodded, "Yes sir!"

The war room was made out nearly purely out of the layers of steel and tungsten covering it, and the door was the exact door that they would use to protect a safe.

Michael arrived outside the door with his new suit, "Sir Michael, please co in." the guard outside opened the door for him.

"Thanks…" Michael replied, still fixing his tie before walking in.

"You're here… Finally. What took you so long?" A bearded man with a dark green uniform, nearly black, said.

"I changed, give a break, you dont want this room to be slling like the jungle dont you?" Michael replied.

"I supposed not."

Michael got onto the main seat, where he could manually raise the seat height while sitting on it. The chair had been brought everywhere that he traveled, and if not, they would make sure to bring the appropriate chair for the occasion.

"Alright, so why are we here?" The Captain of the Erald City guard asked.

The n in green uniforms nodded in agreent with the Captain.

Michael breathed in carefully, careful with the words that he was about to use with these n. Although they didn't really have any proper ranks as the Erald City guards did, they were more powerful than them.

The Special Force of Erald City, all of them, trained to the highest level, only passing their knowledge and skill to one heir to take over them. And so there were only nine here that were left.

The Oz that ca before George has struggled to use them, as their intelligence could surpass his own.

They would co very close to finding the identity, and it had caused Oztanfil to change a lot of plans because of them.

"I will tell you this only one ti, there is a criminal pretending to be the Great Wizard."

"And how do you know this?" One of them asked.

Unlike everyone else in Erald City, the Special Forces tend to be more casual and less respectful of Michael, and even at tis curse in front of him, but it was a privilege that was given to the best like them.

Michael raised the anonymous bank card, "This is a bank card which I used, the Empire Bank has found this card lying in the hills of Angmar, and it is all empty."

"The bank has asked each vendor who have accepted paynt with this card and nearly everyone who t the fake have said that he is the exact copy of the great wizard." He added, throwing the letter on the table which they sent to him.

The Captain of the Erald City guards picked up the letter and read it; he started chuckling as he saw the number that was spent, "He spent the whole city's budget!"

"Yeah…" Michael replied, shaking his head.

"Who on earth is going to pay out monthly salary then!?" One of the n on the table punched the table.

The whole room suddenly filled with shouts, with everyone shouting at Michael.

"Ya'll dont have to worry!! I have so money in my private account, I have enough to pay for the city for about three months, but within that period of ti, we need to find this impostor."
