Chapter Sixty-Two: Elephant, elephant, why is your nose so long?

The old couple and the young couple searched around the store a few tis and didn’t see Cheng PaoPao. Father Cheng couldn’t help but beat his chest in regret, “It’s all my fault, I shouldn’t have put the birdcage down!”

Last ti when he took PaoPao to stroll in the park, the result was that his grandson was almost taken away by a feral cat. PaoPao had again disappeared from his hands this ti. Were the heavens blind? Taking a knife and sticking it right in his heart!

Mother Cheng had said a few words to bla the old man and then nothing more, her eyes red.

Ji XiaoYu was so anxious that he grabbed the store manager’s collar and lifted his feet off the ground. He said angrily, “Return my son to !”

The store manager was so scared that his feet were kicking. He said with a stunned expression, “Mr. Ji, who is your son? I didn’t see him!”

“Don’t play dumb with ! Just now as you pretended to shake hands with our family, I’m sure that soone stole my son while we were distracted!” Ji XiaoYu couldn’t wait to punch this guy into the ceiling, “Hurry up and give him back to , otherwise I’ll tear down your whole shopping store!”

The manager was so scared that he started crying. He rushed to say, “Mr. Ji, I’ve been wronged. How could I have stolen your son? I don’t even know what your son looks like!”

Cheng YuTang was just as anxious, but he still kept a bit of his sanity. He patted Ji XiaoYu on the back and said, “Baby, he’s likely not lying. The birdcage is still here and no strangers ca near just now. PaoPao probably opened the door on his own and ran away.”

Ji XiaoYu loosed his grip and threw the store manager back to the floor. He quickly said, “What to do then? We haven’t found him after such a long ti!”

The manager was a bit confused. He didn’t understand what the family’s lost child had to do with the fat little chick in the cage. He was just grateful and so said, “Mr. Cheng, you are so discerning, knowing that I’m telling the truth! Oh yeah, we have a monitoring system here, you all can co with to the control room and it should be made clear!”

So the family of four imdiately followed the manager to the control room and he pulled up the surveillance video from the ti when Cheng PaoPao disappeared on the second floor. Sure enough, after Father Cheng put the birdcage on the ground, Cheng PaoPao appeared to open his mouth and chirp twice, but there was music in the store so the adults couldn’t hear him. The fat little chick pecked the door open with his beak and bolted out of the cage. His actions were more skillful than a habitual thief. Then he ran away with a skip and jump, disappearing from the video screen in the blink of an eye.

Ji XiaoYu punched the wall, so angry he had to hit sothing, “This bad little egg is really too naughty. Just wait until we find him, I’m going to spank his butt!”

Cheng YuTang kissed his sweaty forehead and comforted him, “Darling, let’s get him back first. It’s not like anyone deliberately stole him.”

There was a creak and a snap and then the wall split like a spider web, the smashed parts of wall falling straight down as dust.

The store manager was horrified and stunned, thinking that it was embarrassing that these two thought of a chicken as a son. Such a strange fad. He really didn’t understand the mindset of young people nowadays.

Father Cheng imdiately said, “I’ll trouble you to bring up other videos from around us to see where our chick has gone.”

The manager quickly agreed, having the staff pull up the video of the entire store. As a result, the group of people all got in front of the screens and stared at it. For a long ti, they didn’t find even the shadow of the fat little chick.

The manager felt incredibly unlucky. Even if he himself didn’t steal the chick, it was lost in the store that he ran and it happened to have been lost while he was talking to the family mbers. If the Cheng family insisted on pursuing it, he’d be unable to avoid taking responsibility for it, so he quickly dispatched all the staff and security guards available to do a carpet-to-carpet search of the shop floor by floor.

Ji XiaoYu couldn’t just sit still in the control room, so he ran back to the place where Cheng PaoPao had disappeared. Cheng YuTang hurried to catch up with him to search around.

Father and Mother Cheng were older, so their physical condition wasn’t as good as that of the younger couple. They would continue to watch every corner of the store from the control room.

After a while, Mother Cheng suddenly ca up with a thod, “Old man, don’t stores often play a search announcent? Let’s do one too! It’s very powerful and if the number of people helping to search increases, maybe he’ll be found sooner.”

Father Cheng heard this and slapped the table violently, “Yes, let’s do it!”

A few minutes later, the soft music in the entire store suddenly stopped, replaced by a strange broadcast: “Now playing an important pet-seeking announcent: a few custors have lost their beloved pet – a chick that is almost a month old. The chick has mostly yellow fluffy feathers, with chestnut spots on his head and wings and two long feathers in his tail. If anyone sees this chick, please inform the staff of the store as soon as possible. Anyone who provides important clues will receive a million yuan in remuneration.

“Now playing an important pet-seeking announcent……

“Now playing……”

Such an amazing offer, the entire store instantly blew up and all the custors who had co to shop were energized, joined the army of people looking for the chick. Even the janitor auntie quickly acted, flipping through the trash cans, hoping to get super lucky.

One well-known custor slapped his thigh, “Fuck, I didn’t hear wrong, did I? I’m afraid this chick has to be made of gold, how else could it be worth a million yuan?!”

And so, as it’s said, news passes quickly from mouth to mouth, and soon the rumor was flying around that said the broadcast was actually about a bionic chick that was made of pure gold and that’s why it was so valuable.

But after an hour, no one had found anything and no one had seen the little million yuan golden chicken.

Ji XiaoYu was so anxious he could die. He could feel that Cheng PaoPao was on the second floor, but he had gone back and forth ten tis and hadn’t seen even his son’s shadow. Had he actually been hidden in a very secluded place by soone with an ulterior motive? If he couldn’t find him again, he was really going to take the walls apart!

After the hardships and twists and turns of finding the egg previously, Cheng YuTang was more calm than ever and he kept comforting him and telling him it was going to be okay, that their son was so smart, and that even as an egg he had had a certain type of self-preservation ability, so he wouldn’t be easily caught by the bad guys, and that he was probably just playing happily in so corner, not thinking about his family for the ti being.

As the two husbands passed by the bouncy castle once again, from inside ca the laughter of little children.

“Bare butt, sha sha sha!”

“This didi is so young. Is he less than one year old? Anyway, my didi is just a year old and can’t be left on his own. He still seems to be just crawling, but he’s really fast.”

“How do you know that this is a didi, not a ii?”

“I know, because he has a little peepee, just like . If you don’t believe , I’ll show you!”

“Hey, hey, hey, don’t take off your pants, don’t be shaless!”

“Elephant, elephant, why is your nose so long? Mama said that a long nose is beautiful……”

The unscrupulous children broke out in a burst of childish laughter.

Ji XiaoYu and Cheng YuTang looked at each other and their thoughts synced up perfectly, at the sa ti having a strong hunch. Then they rushed to the bouncy castle.

The reason why the two of them hadn’t gone in there before was because first, if Cheng PaoPao had been caught by soone, he wouldn’t be hidden in such a place and second, if the fat little chick went to play on his own, he shouldn’t have been able to get in there. The entrance of the bouncy castle was 1.2 ters up, so the kids all had to be lifted up by their parents and Cheng PaoPao’s current jumping ability didn’t seem to be enough.

The young couple ran to the entrance and looked inside. They saw a group of small children in the corner of the castle. There was a small baby in the middle of the children, naked and pale and rounded with fat, with big, watery eyes and refined lips. He was cuter than the baby models that shot TV advertisents for baby products.

Although he was surrounded by a group of children older than him, the little baby wasn’t afraid. He was just blinking curiously and looking around. From ti to ti, he waved a little arm that was as tender as a lotus stalk, babbling a bit, but not knowing how to speak.

Ji XiaoYu was speechless for a mont. He reached up and clutched his chest, feeling his heart tremble as if it were about to lt.

Cheng YuTang took a deep breath and tried to make his voice sound as gentle and calm as usual, “PaoPao, is it fun in there?”

The little baby sniffed and turned his head. He saw the two n at the entrance and suddenly a smile blossod across his face. Then, he used his hands and feet, twisting his fat little buttocks, and quickly crawled over. When he reached them, he opened his arms for a hug.

Ji XiaoYu almost cried from excitent, reaching out and holding his hands, not daring to hug him, afraid of not knowing his own strength or that the calluses on his hands would hurt his baby son’s soft, tender skin.

Cheng YuTang had never held such a small baby, so he didn’t dare to rush into it. He tried to recall the images he had seen in a nursery education film. After a while, Cheng PaoPao let out a disgruntled “ah ah” sound to urge them on, so he picked him up carefully and held him in his arms.

“TangTang, who is this little baby? It’s not, not the PaoPao of our family, right?”

From not far away, there ca the shaky sound of Mother Cheng’s voice, asking a trembling question.

The husbands looked up and saw the old couple standing a few ters away with nervous expressions on their faces, the two afraid to even gasp because of the atmosphere.

Not waiting for his father to talk, Cheng PaoPao happily waved his little arms and greeted his grandparents, “Ah, ah, wa, wa!”

“Hello, my dear grandson!” Mother Cheng cried out, wiping her tears of joy

“Such a good PaoPao!” Father Cheng’s face once again blossod into a smile and he could barely restrain himself from bursting out in song.

In fact, the old couple could tell without asking. This fat doll was so cute and white like jade, with exquisite, clever features, half appearing like Cheng YuTang and half like Ji XiaoYu; he had completely inherited the genes of his two daddies. It was just so sudden and so surprising and they’d had no ntal preparation at all so it all felt like a dream, and they had to confirm it before they could believe it.

Ji XiaoYu was both angry and amused. The whole family had been played by this naughty boy for a long ti, he himself had almost died of anxiety, but PaoPao was still called good.

Thinking about what had just happened, he got a little angry, but just as he was raising his hand, Mother Cheng imdiately stopped him saying, “XiaoYu, you can’t beat this child. Our family’s PaoPao is so cute, yo, how can you raise your hand to him?! ”

“Mama, don’t worry.” Ji XiaoYu didn’t know whether he wanted to laugh or cry, I knew this would happen. In fact, he didn’t want to spank him. His son was okay and he was thankful, so how could he be willing to use violence? Then he raised his hand high, but it fell very lightly, patting the chubby, innocent little face of Cheng PaoPao, as he scolded him with a “bad little egg”.

Mother Cheng saw that her grandson was still naked, so she took a baby blanket from the shopping cart from earlier and wrapped Cheng PaoPao up like a silkworm cocoon.

A bit puzzled, Father Cheng asked, “Didn’t you say he wouldn’t transform for a month? It’s still a few days before PaoPao is a month old. How did he suddenly beco a fat doll?”

Cheng YuTang smiled, “PaoPao hatched a month and a half early. It’s probably that he grew fast from his nutritious als, so his transformation was also ahead of schedule.”

Father Cheng cheerfully followed up, “Good, good, good, he’s worthy of being our Cheng family’s child!”

At this ti, the store manager ran over sweating and saw that the Cheng family was all smiles and that Cheng YuTang was holding a big fat baby boy in his arms. So surprised that his chin almost fell to the ground, he said, “Cheng Zong, where, where did this child co from? Weren’t you all looking for that chick?”

“This is my son, his nickna is PaoPao. He was just playing in the bouncy castle until now. The chick has been found. It’s indeed a new product being developed by a biotech company affiliated to HongSheng. It may be rolled out to the market in the future when the technology matures,” Cheng YuTang answered calmly, “I’ll ask the manager to please play another broadcast to explain, since everyone worked so hard to search, the Cheng family will present a gift card worth 1000 yuan to all the custors present today. I’ll trouble the manager to help arrange it. In the future, HongSheng will also consider cooperation with your store.”

The store manager was overjoyed, saying, “No problem, no problem, just rely on ! Your son looks so cute, just like the doll in a!”

Although his head was in the clouds from joy, he was totally confused about what was going on. When the Cheng family entered the store, they didn’t seem to bring this fat doll. How did he suddenly pop out of nowhere?

However, this family was inherently mysterious, with a power that ordinary people couldn’t even imagine, so what Cheng Zong said was how it should be. As long as nothing bad happened so that he and the store weren’t blad, they had even got on board with HongSheng so the future was bright!

“Thank you, then you go ahead, manager. We’ll head back first.” Cheng YuTang nodded slightly in dismissal.

“Alright, good, take care!”

Then the family went ho happily with the freshly baked fat doll.

He had probably used up a lot of energy in the bouncy castle, because in the less than two minutes it took to reach the car, Cheng PaoPao’s eyes closed and he began to snore, his sleep could be called sweet and sound. Under Mother Cheng’s guidance, Ji XiaoYu carefully held his son in his arms, his heart bursting with happiness.

As a result, just as they arrived ho, Cheng PaoPao opened his eyes again and began struggling and kicking in his arms, his little face all red.

“PaoPao, what’s wrong, do you not feel well?” Ji XiaoYu put his son on the bed and opened the blanket in a panic, afraid that there was sothing in it that had caught on his delicate skin.

The older couple and Cheng YuTang also quickly gathered around to check.

As soon as the blanket was opened, a pale yellow fountain spurted out energetically, hitting Ji XiaoYu in the face.

Among the laughter of the onlookers, the laughter of the culprit was even more loud and his little toothless mouth danced.

Ji XiaoYu: “……”

This bad little egg isn’t lovable at all, he’s really in need of a spanking!

Cheng YuTang smiled and comforted him, “Darling, this is the first ti PaoPao has peed since transforming. It’s a testant of love towards his daddy.”

Ji XiaoYu wiped his wet face and forced a tired smile as he said, “Just like how he pooped for the first ti in my hand just after hatching?”

“Mhm.”

“Oh, alright then.”

Ji XiaoYu reluctantly accepted this reasoning.

he’s here!! ??
