Chapter 152: Chapter 150: My Own Husband, a Fine Waist and Legs
Celeste Grant glanced up at Javier Sinclair.
’I’ve had his child, so technically, that makes him my husband (??????)??.’
’My husband has a trim waist and long legs... the kind I can touch openly and honestly.’
’I’m definitely getting the better end of this deal.’
Just as she was thinking this, the wind blew his hair sideways, right into her face.
"Your hair is in my face."
Javier Sinclair glanced at her.
He lifted a hand slightly, and a protective barrier ford around them.
The wind stopped.
"Is that better?"
He had lived for hundreds of years, yet this was the first ti he had ever indulged soone like this.
"Much better."
Sitting beside her, Javier Sinclair wrapped an arm around her waist and held her close. The White Tiger carried them through the air at incredible speed.
Not far from them, young Aaron Sinclair followed along on his Sword Flight. Seeing his parents being all lovey-dovey in front of him, he rolled his eyes.
’Do they think I don’t exist?’
’The son was an accident, but your love is real.’
"Daddy, I’m really not your biological son, am I?"
Javier Sinclair turned his head slightly to glance at him and said with a deadpan expression, "No. I found you when I was out and about."
Aaron Sinclair began to wail dramatically, the kind of crying without a single tear. "I knew it! WAAAH! I’m going to cry myself to death! What kind of biological son has to fly by himself while his parents cuddle on a Spirit Beast? I really was picked up off the street! Daddy, Mommy, you don’t love
anymore!"
Celeste Grant let out a soft laugh, resting a hand on Javier’s shoulder as she looked at her son. "Hahaha! Sweetheart, believe , your dad might not be your real dad, but I can guarantee you’re definitely my real son."
Javier Sinclair: "..."
’What does she an, his dad might not be his real dad? Is this woman planning on finding another father for our son?’ Thinking of this, he stared at her nacingly and tightened his grip on her waist.
He sneered.
"Heh! ’Your dad might not be your real dad’? You’ve got so nerve, Celeste Grant."
Celeste Grant smiled faintly.
She draped her hand over his shoulder.
"I was just joking, Exalted One."
"How could that be! Soone else’s father might not be the real one, but my child’s father definitely is." As she spoke, she gently caressed his cheek. Lowering her voice, she murmured, "Isn’t that right? You should know better than anyone if you’re the real one. Or do I need to prove it to you?"
’This woman is teasing him again.’
He squeezed her waist forcefully, threatening, "You’re pushing your luck."
He said this and looked away, but a smile touched his lips.
Celeste Grant poked his cheek and couldn’t help but say, "Exalted One, if Elder Lawson were here right now, his line would be, ’It’s been a long ti since I’ve seen The Exalted One smile like that.’" She couldn’t hold back her own laughter as she said it. "Hahaha!"
Javier Sinclair held out his hand, a piece of candy appearing in his palm. He unwrapped it and popped it straight into her mouth. "Have so candy. It’ll shut that chattering mouth of yours."
Celeste Grant took it in her mouth.
It was a coconut candy.
CRUNCH, CRUNCH.
She bit down and ate it.
"So sweet."
"This is coconut candy. Where did you get it?"
"Just eat it. Stop asking so many questions."
"But I want to know!"
’For the notoriously fearso Archfiend to be carrying candy around with him... that was a bit strange.’
He spoke up, "I bought it last ti I passed through the Mortal Realm."
After all, he had a child at ho. Sotis when he was out and saw sothing, he would think of buying it for the little brat.
He had gotten used to it.
She held out her hand.
"Got any more?"
"I do."
Javier Sinclair extended his hand, and a small, woven bamboo basket appeared in it. It was filled with candy—gummies, hard candies, flaky sweets—all wrapped in colorful paper. "Take it."
As he spoke, Javier Sinclair placed the entire basket in her arms.
Celeste Grant let out a "wow." "There are so many! And flaky sweets, I love these."
Flying beside them, Aaron Sinclair stretched out his hand and shouted, "Mommy, I want so candy too!"
Celeste Grant chuckled.
"Alright."
She grabbed a handful and tossed it over.
He held out his hand, and the candies landed in his palm.
She watched her son take one, unwrap it, and start eating.
Celeste Grant also took one, peeled off the wrapper, and popped it into her mouth.
’Nice. After starting Cultivation in this world, I don’t have to worry about cavities anymore. I can eat as much candy as I want.’
In her previous world, that version of Celeste Grant had also loved candy, but she never dared to eat too much, afraid of rotting her teeth out.
Speaking of which, Celeste Grant’s thoughts drifted to the enormous sum in her bank account and all the properties and cars in her na. She had no idea if she had died in that world or just ended up in a vegetative state.
’If I died and my assets went to the state, that would be fine. But if so long-lost relatives popped up and inherited everything, I’d die of frustration all over again.’
In her past life, Celeste Grant had no relatives left on her father’s side. However, there were indeed relatives on her biological mother’s side. It was just that she had no contact with them and wasn’t close to them.
After her parents disappeared, none of the relatives on her mother’s side were willing to raise her, and they abandoned her—not even a year old—at an orphanage.
Fortunately, she was born under a lucky star.
She was abandoned at the orphanage one day, and the very next, her grand-uncle found her. An unbelievable fortune had fallen into her lap after all.
Her grand-uncle was a wealthy jewel rchant from overseas. The story went that he had left in a fit of pique after he and his brother fell for the sa woman. By the ti he returned, he only found her, and he held her and cried with regret. After that, she lived with her grand-uncle. However, before Celeste Grant ca of age, her grand-uncle passed away.
Before he died, to ensure she would be well-provided for her entire life, he set her up with real estate and even left her a manor. And just like that, Celeste Grant beca a major local landlord, able to lie back and do nothing for the rest of her life and still have more money than she could ever spend.
Thinking of her grand-uncle, Celeste Grant sighed inwardly. In the end, he had passed away with a smile, holding what was said to be a photo of her grandmother. He was a sentintal old fool in love.
As for her biological parents, Celeste Grant had never t them. They had supposedly gone missing while away for work when she was very young. After Celeste grew up, she had even offered a reward for information, but there were no leads. Back when her grand-uncle found her, he had also used his connections to inquire about her parents, but he found nothing either.
All signs indicated that they had vanished into thin air.
’Maybe they’re really gone. Still, she desperately hoped they were safe and sound, just living well sowhere she didn’t know about. Or perhaps, like her, they had transmigrated sowhere. She really hoped that was the case.’
At this thought, Celeste Grant gave a faint smile.
Javier Sinclair looked at her.
"What are you thinking about?"
They say that soone who cares about you will always be the first to notice when sothing is off.
Hearing his question, Celeste Grant smiled and said, "Nothing much. I was just thinking about my family."
Javier Sinclair glanced at her. "Your father and the others are in Bloodfiend City. You can see them whenever you want."
Celeste Grant paused for a mont, then just smiled and nodded.
’That’s right. I still have my parents in this world. They dote on , and I’m their daughter now, too.’
