Chapter 104: Chapter 102: I’m All Ready, and You Want to Wait Until Tonight? (Part 1)
As soon as Celeste Grant finished speaking, she saw the man wave his hand dismissively.
"It’s nothing."
’That’s his son, too! Sure, the little rascal grew up to be infuriating, but I’m used to it. He’s my own flesh and blood, after all.’
Seeing his prideful act, Celeste Grant smiled softly. She reached out to gently caress the side of his face and whispered, "So, tell , how should I thank you?"
Held in his arms, Celeste Grant was so close that her words were like a caress against his ear, an intimate whisper right next to his face.
Javier Sinclair blushed.
He averted his gaze.
"N-No, that’s not necessary."
’This man is actually pretty cute when he blushes. Javier Sinclair looks like an unapproachable ice prince, but he’s really just a tsundere with a sharp tongue who’s fiercely protective of his own. He even blushes from a little teasing. Such an innocent Archfiend!’
It made her want to ss with him a little.
At this thought, Celeste Grant tapped her finger lightly on his chest and used Telekinesis to send a ssage to his mind, "You don’t an a word of that. How about... I give you a kiss? Or, you could kiss . That’s fine too."
Javier Sinclair was silent, but a giddy, floating sensation was already spreading through him. ’Did this woman really not use a Hex-bug on ? This feeling... it’s not physical desire, it’s in my heart. How can a few casual words from her put
in such a good mood?’
’Still, she has so nerve, saying she wants to kiss . If it were anyone else, I’d have twisted their head off.’
Javier Sinclair’s gaze swept across her smiling face. Her words had hooked him, leaving him a little expectant.
His Adam’s apple bobbed.
Yet he forced his expression to remain calm.
"Alright."
’Just as I was about to get down to business...’
He heard another ssage from Celeste Grant via Telekinesis.
"Let’s save it for tonight. It’s not right in the middle of the day."
Javier Sinclair: "..."
’I was all ready to go, and now you want to wait until tonight?’
’He felt like she was just playing with him, teasing an honest man.’
Javier Sinclair sent her a ssage via Telekinesis.
"Whatever."
His tone was perfectly nonchalant.
Seeing his prideful act, Celeste Grant chuckled but didn’t call him out on it. The Archfiend had his pride to maintain, after all.
Celeste Grant climbed out of his lap, sat down beside him, and held her arms out to her son.
"Co here, sweetie. Let Mommy give you a hug."
Just as he did when he was little, Aaron Sinclair threw himself into Celeste Grant’s arms and nuzzled against her. He looked up at his father. "Mommy, I’m your little treasure, right? Mommy loves
the most, doesn’t she?"
"Of course, that goes without saying! I carried you for nine long months. Mommy loves you the most, my sweet boy."
’What mother doesn’t love her own child most of all?’
Celeste Grant smiled and kissed his forehead, then pulled him into a hug. ’Just a single mont of enlightennt, and I’ve already missed so many years with my son.’
Aaron Sinclair shot a smug look at his father.
"Hehe."
’See that?’
’Mommy loves
most.’
’So, old man, how about it? Jealous? Mad?’
Javier Sinclair: "..."
’He’s doing this on purpose.’
’This little brat is definitely doing this on purpose.’
He sneered. "You’re such a big boy, and you still need your mommy to hold you? If word gets out, how will you be able to show your face?"
Aaron Sinclair hugged his mother’s arm and declared, "A mother’s love is the best thing in the world! A child with a mom is a treasure. I have a mommy who dotes on , and if anyone says anything, it’s just because they’re envious and jealous. So why should I care about them? I have a mommy to love . Even when I’m twenty, or thirty, or a few hundred years old, I’ll still be my mommy’s baby."
Celeste Grant couldn’t help but laugh. "Haha, my baby! Co on, tell Mommy what you’ve been up to these past few years."
"Hehe, there’s so much, Mommy! Let
tell you... BLAH BLAH BLAH..."
Once he started, he couldn’t stop.
Celeste Grant and her son talked for the better part of the day.
From her son and Javier Sinclair, she learned that Aaron had started his Cultivation at the age of three, practicing both Immortal and Demon Cultivation. He was now at the Third Level of Foundation Establishnt. Despite his young age, he knew quite a lot.
He didn’t just practice all sorts of powerful Magic. He also knew a bit of Alchemy, talisman making, Artifact Refining, and how to identify Spirit Grass. In his father’s words, it was always useful to know a little extra for when it mattered most.
While Aaron Sinclair’s innate talent was a major factor in his achievents, his father and the elders and protectors of the Bloodfiend Den had also tirelessly provided him with one-on-one instruction.
Apparently, ever since he’d taken an interest in Alchemy at the age of six, earth-shattering explosions would rock the Hall of Alchemy from ti to ti. The Fifth Elder, his Alchemy instructor, had been seen climbing out of the rubble on several occasions, smoke literally rising from his head.
And yet, he had a profound talent for Alchemy, always able to grasp concepts quickly and co up with his own creative ideas. The Fifth Elder was extrely fond of him.
There were also a few tis when a cauldron explosion was so potent it created a toxic rain that poisoned all the surrounding Spirit Grass and Spirit Plants.
Listening to the father and son trade stories, Celeste Grant was stunned.
’I really missed so much.’
’My son is a walking disaster area! What a handful. It must have been so hard on those elders. Looks like I’ll have to give them bigger bonuses from now on.’
She reached out and patted her son’s head.
"My son, you’re amazing! Already at the Third Level of Foundation Establishnt. But don’t get arrogant. You have to be steady in your Cultivation. In the Cultivation World, geniuses are a di a dozen, but very few make it to the end. That’s because they’re not cautious enough. So, until you’re truly powerful, you have to lie low. Especially when you go out—use a few aliases, so no one knows who you really are."
Aaron Sinclair gave her a thumbs-up.
"Don’t worry, Mommy. I’m always very careful."
"Good."
"Oh, by the way, how have your grandpa and grandma been?"
"They’re great! Grandpa broke through to the First Level of Golden Core, and Grandma is at the Fifth Layer of Foundation Establishnt. And there’s sothing else I have to tell you."
Celeste Grant asked curiously, "What is it?"
Seeing the mysterious looks on the faces of the father and son, Celeste Grant felt a stir of anticipation.
She heard Javier Sinclair say, "It’s nothing much. You just have a little brother now. His talent and Spirit Root are pretty good."
Celeste Grant froze, not quite processing his words.
’A little brother.’
’What little brother?’
"A little brother?"
She finally processed it, her voice rising. "I..."
She pointed to herself.
"You’re telling
*I* have a little brother? As in, my mother gave birth?"
Aaron Sinclair nodded, his face beaming. "Yep, Mommy! Our little uncle is five years old, and he looks a lot like you."
"Holy crap, what did I miss?! HAHAHAHA." Celeste Grant burst out laughing and couldn’t stop herself. "I must still be dreaming. This has to be a dream."
Celeste Grant felt the whole situation was utterly absurd.
It felt like she’d just taken a nap, and in that ti, not only had her son grown up, but she’d also sohow gained a little brother?
Aaron Sinclair scratched his head.
"Mommy, don’t you like our little uncle? He’s a little slow, but he’s very well-behaved."
Hearing this, Celeste Grant lightly tapped his forehead. "Who said that? I’m thrilled! Just a little shocked, that’s all."
