Chapter 933: Chapter 933: The World Shatters with Jealousy_1

Jiang Ning lightly kicked the ground, noticing that it felt hollow, slightly different from the rest of the room.

She looked up and locked eyes with Jiang Yi.

Jiang Yi, realizing the sa, quickly ca over, crouched down, and tapped the floor. Excitedly, he revealed, “It’s hollow underneath, there’s a secret passage!”

“But, how do we open it?”

The siblings crouched on the ground, frowning at the marble slab.

“Maybe there’s a switch?” Jiang Ning got up and started ticulously searching to find a button that, when pressed, would open the floor automatically.

Jiang Yi was speechless, “Have you been reading too many cartoons?”

His words were interrupted as the ground beneath him started rotating out of nowhere, almost causing him to fall.

Rushing to stand again, he gazed at the square-shaped tunnel that had appeared on the floor and looked at his sister in disbelief, “How did you open it?”

“This.” Jiang Ning pointed to a button next to her.

The button was next to the bed, hidden under a curtain, and would not be easily discovered.

Jiang Yi wiped his sweat, “How did you know it was there?”

“It’s the only hidden place in the room.”

Jiang Ning dusted her hands, moved to the tunnel, “Do we want to go down and see?”

“We should, but not ‘us.’ I an ‘I.’ You wait here.” Not knowing what was down there, Jiang Yi wouldn’t let his sister join him in the uncertain adventure.

Jiang Ning was worried.

Jiang Yi explained, “Just stay here. If anything happens, you can quickly call for help. If we both get stuck down there, then it would be endga.”

“I regret not bringing Gufeng.”

“After all, Gufeng is a man. You shouldn’t be too close to him.”

“Why not?”

“Nonsense, don’t think just because the Crown Prince seems indifferent, he won’t get jealous. Just the opposite, they are the kind that causes the end of the world when jealous!”

“Even if he gets jealous, he wouldn’t be jealous of Gufeng.”

“Then who would he be jealous of?” Jiang Yi wondered, “Wenren Zong? Or He Tang?”

“Cut the nonsense and get going. If we delay any longer, the monk will be back!” Jiang Ning pushed him.

Jiang Yi shivered in alarm, “Don’t push , I’ll go by myself.”

“Take this with you.” Jiang Ning took out a Night Pearl from her pouch, “In case it’s dark down there, it’s for illumination.”

“Where did you get this treasure?”

“It was a gift.”

“Hmph, nine out of ten tis, it’s probably pilfered from the Harem as a bribe to you.”

“Less talk, more action.”

“Don’t rush , I’m not exactly brave.”

Jiang Yi, ticulously examining his surroundings, took one step at a ti down the staircase.

Even though Jiang Ning seed relaxed, her heart was pounding nervously. She stayed rooted to the spot, her heart beating frantically and her palms sweaty.

Jiang Yi wasn’t a master of martial arts like Gucheng. If anything happened to him, she wouldn’t know how to explain it to Jiang Ruobai or Lin Zizi.

Nor would she know how to explain it to her Third Sister-in-law and the baby in her womb.

Ti slowly passed.

Just as Jiang Ning could no longer restrain herself and was about to jump down after him, Jiang Yi’s voice finally echoed up.

“Seventh Sister, co down. It’s safe.”

Jiang Ning’s heart eased, she imdiately responded, “Alright.”

She wiped the sweat off herself, only then realizing how anxious she had been, even feeling a little nauseous.

Steadying herself, she carefully descended.

Jiang Yi was waiting for her below, extended his hand to help her, “There’s light inside, don’t be afraid.”

“What’s inside?”

Jiang Ning asked softly.

“You’ll see when you get here.”

“How mysterious.”

Jiang Ning had no choice but to follow him, walking through a narrow pathway, and found herself in a spacious room. Lanterns were lit, casting dim and ambiguous shadows all around.
