Chapter 866: Chapter 854: Mommy, I Want a Hug

“Forget it.” Qiao Jing shook her head and said to Qiao Lin, “You and big sis can go, I’m not going.”

Whether the capital is bustling or not, she wasn’t interested.

Besides, she never liked being part of lively events.

“Co on, just go.” Qiao Lin lightly shook Qiao Jing’s arm, with a hint of coquettishness, “If you co with us, we’ll feel more confident.”

After saying that, she looked at Qiao Hong, winking and asking, “Big sis, don’t you agree?”

“Yes.” Qiao Hong nodded, also encouraging, “Xiao Jing, co with us to the capital. It will also keep that scumbag Jiang Zihong from pestering you again.”

Qiao Weiguang and Jiang Youyi both felt that the eldest daughter’s words made a lot of sense.

They also began to persuade Qiao Jing.

“Xiao Jing, go with your two sisters, take a break from it all, treat it as a way to relax.”

As soon as Qiao Weiguang finished speaking, Jiang Youyi added, “Yeah, you’ve been sick for the longest ti and haven’t gone out much. This ti to the capital, let your sisters show you around properly.”

The four of them spoke one after another, making Qiao Jing feel embarrassed to refuse anymore, so she agreed, “Alright, I’ll go too.”

After they agreed, Qiao Jing went back to her room to pack her luggage, then went to the capital with Qiao Hong and Qiao Lin.

The car was arranged by Qiao Weiguang, a nine-seater rcedes-Benz.

Also going was Zhan Qiaoyu.

Seeing Qiao Jing going to the capital, the little guy naturally followed without hesitation.

Besides, he was supposed to return in the next couple of days anyway, so this trip was just what he had hoped for!

A few hours later, Qiao Jing and the others successfully arrived in the capital.

The car stopped at the entrance of a hotel.

The hotel was also pre-booked by Qiao Weiguang, an apartnt-style suite with exactly three rooms.

After getting off the car, Qiao Jing and the others went into the hotel and put their luggage in the suite.

After resting for a while in the suite, the three of them took Zhan Qiaoyu out and found a nearby restaurant to eat.

Halfway through the al, the smartwatch in Zhan Qiaoyu’s pocket suddenly buzzed.

He discreetly checked the watch when Qiao Jing wasn’t noticing and found a ssage from his younger brother.

[Big brother, ergency! Dad plans to go to grandma’s to pick you up, have you co back? If so, hurry over!!]

After reading the ssage, Zhan Qiaoyu couldn’t help but furrow his small brows.

Dad’s action was really fast?

Seems like he had to leave; otherwise, things might be exposed!

But he was really reluctant to leave mommy…

Zhan Qiaoyu quickly replied with “Got it,” then put his watch back in his pocket.

After finishing, he turned his head, lifting his fair and adorable face, looking tenderly at Qiao Jing.

Feeling the little guy’s gaze, Qiao Jing paused in her eating and turned her head to look at him, “What’s the matter?”

“Mommy, I want a hug.”

Zhan Qiaoyu blinked his big, round eyes, reaching out for Qiao Jing.

Qiao Jing was slightly taken aback; although this child was very clingy, it was his first ti openly asking for a hug like this.

Seeing his expectant little face, Qiao Jing felt a warmth in her heart, and she reached out to pull him into her arms.

Zhan Qiaoyu nestled in Qiao Jing’s embrace, feeling that this hug was very warm and gave him a sense of happiness.

This feeling made him even more unwilling to leave.

He lifted his head, his sparkling eyes gazing unblinkingly at Qiao Jing, looking adorable and soft, “Mommy, can you feed ?”

If Zhan Qiaoze, Zhan Qiaomo, or any other familiar mber of the Zhan Family were present and saw this scene of him acting cute, asking for hugs and to be fed, they’d surely be shocked!

Because Zhan Qiaoyu and his two younger brothers were known for being independent.

Such acts of coyness were rare for the three little guys.

And ever since they were old enough, they always fed themselves and never asked adults for help.

Only when facing Qiao Jing would Zhan Qiaoyu show such a childlike side, like other kids his age.

For Zhan Qiaoyu’s request, Qiao Jing naturally wouldn’t refuse.

Actually, it wasn’t just this child wanting to cling to her; she, for so inexplicable reason, also wanted to give this child more care and love.

These feelings ca straight from her heart, though she couldn’t pinpoint the reason.

Qiao Jing curled her lips into a smile, holding Zhan Qiaoyu with one hand while using the other to scoop a spoonful of egg millet porridge into his mouth.

Zhan Qiaoyu took bite after bite, eating with great appetite.

Quickly, the bowl of millet porridge was finished.

“So full!” Zhan Qiaoyu patted his little belly, then raised his thumb, “Mommy’s porridge is so delicious! It’s the tastiest and most wonderful porridge I’ve ever had!”

Sitting across the table, Qiao Lin couldn’t help but say, “Little guy, did you grow up eating honey? Your words are so sweet.”

Zhan Qiaoyu tilted his head, replying earnestly, “I’m just telling the truth.”

Qiao Jing smiled, lifting her hand to fondly ss up the little guy’s hair, her gaze unconsciously filled with a mother’s tender love.

After the al, the group left the restaurant and returned to the hotel suite.

They each went back to their rooms, with Zhan Qiaoyu naturally following Qiao Jing.

During this ti, Qiao Jing went to the bathroom.

While she was away, Zhan Qiaoyu found so paper and a pen to write a note.

Though reluctant, he knew he had to leave first.

Once the note was written, he placed it prominently on the coffee table, then quietly left without disturbing anyone.

When Qiao Jing ca out of the bathroom, Zhan Qiaoyu’s figure was already gone.

She assud the little guy was just in the living room, so she called out “Qiaoyu,” but received no response.

Then she noticed the note on the coffee table.

The handwriting was neat, not what you’d expect from a four-year-old, but it was indeed signed as “Qiaoyu.”

[Mommy, I just saw daddy. I went to find him first. I’ll miss you, and you have to miss too!]

After reading the note, a surge of sadness filled Qiao Jing’s heart, as if she’d lost a precious treasure she’d just regained.

As she was staring blankly at the note, Qiao Hong and Qiao Lin ca running over.

Both had heard her call “Qiaoyu” earlier.

Qiao Lin was the first to ask, “What’s up with the little guy?”

“He went to find his daddy.”

Qiao Jing said, handing the note to them.

After reading it, Qiao Lin couldn’t help but complain, “This little guy appeared so suddenly and just as suddenly left without even saying goodbye in person.”

Qiao Hong, being more perceptive, noticed Qiao Jing’s somber mood and knew she missed Zhan Qiaoyu.

To be honest, she herself was reluctant to see such an adorable and clever little guy go.
