Chapter 705: Chapter 694: Discovered by Zhan Qipei?
Qiao ngtong, who had been watching the entire scene from the side, sat on the ground, looking dazedly at Zhan Nan and Zhan Bei, who were equally sprawled on the ground, unable to move.
When Qiao Jing was fighting just now, he was really fierce…
If she were to be beaten by Qiao Jing, she would definitely be beaten to a pulp!
The onlookers by the breakfast shop started discussing amongst themselves after Qiao Jing left.
“These two guys clearly aren’t any good, coming up here spewing all sorts of offensive words and trying to forcefully take that girl away!”
“Exactly, they just slander her with their mouths, absolutely shaless! The girl didn’t even bother to pay attention to them, but they kept pestering her nonstop.”
“Do these two n really think money is omnipotent? They want to do whatever they please, and they got what they deserved for being beaten! And this woman, she must be kept by these two n! She cos up looking all delicate and frail, disgusting!”
“…”
Zhan Nan and Zhan Bei, hearing the discussions of the bystanders, felt like they had lost all face, and it seed that there were even people in the crowd who recognized them.
If they stayed any longer, it probably wouldn’t be long before everyone in the upper social circles would know about their embarrassing ordeal today!
But at the mont, they were in such pain that they couldn’t move, let alone make a phone call.
Zhan Nan looked at Qiao ngtong next to him and ordered:
“Qiao ngtong, give your phone!”
Having understood why the two of them kept her, Qiao ngtong felt utterly disgusted and was hesitating whether to go over or not.
She had actually thought these two brothers truly liked her, that they were interested in her, but it turned out they were just using her as a substitute!
Even though she didn’t want to continue being Qiao Jing’s substitute, all her current resources were provided by Zhan Nan and Zhan Bei. If she fell out with them, she wouldn’t be able to get any endorsents at all.
Seeing Qiao ngtong sitting still, Zhan Nan grew impatient and pressured her:
“Are you freaking dead or what? Hurry up and co here! Give the phone! Otherwise, I will pull all your resources, and you won’t be able to get anything ever again!”
Upon hearing this, Qiao ngtong scrambled up to her feet, and just as she was about to go over, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her ankle.
Looking down, she realized that her ankle was swollen, probably sprained when the brothers had shoved her away.
She bit her lip, endured the pain, and handed her phone over to Zhan Nan.
“Young Master Nan…”
Zhan Nan, seeing Qiao ngtong holding out the phone but not intending to call anyone for him, was infuriated, channeling all the anger he had received from Qiao Jing onto her.
Without hesitation, he spat, directing a stream of saliva towards Qiao ngtong’s face.
“You’re dead and can’t move, right? First help us back to the car!”
Disgust flickered through Qiao ngtong’s eyes from behind her sunglasses, but she couldn’t afford to show even a hint of it.
She was relieved she wore a mask and sunglasses; otherwise, she would be recognized by others, and the spit would have landed on her face.
Zhan Bei, struggling to sit up, cursed irritably:
“What are you stupidly standing there for? Hurry up and help us up!”
Qiao ngtong, swallowing her pride, bent down and reached out to help Zhan Bei first.
Zhan Nan, seeing this, imdiately intervened.
“Who told you to help one by one? Help us both up!”
Qiao ngtong hesitated, looking at the two with difficulty.
“But, Young Master Nan… I can’t help up two people…”
Zhan Nan didn’t listen to a word Qiao ngtong said and threatened:
“If you don’t help both of us into the car together, starting now, I’ll pull all your resources!”
Qiao ngtong shuddered violently and mustered all her strength to help both n to their feet.
Zhan Nan and Zhan Bei directly put their entire weight on Qiao ngtong, completely indifferent to her well-being.
Qiao ngtong first struggled to the side of the car, called down her assistant, and only after handing over Zhan Nan to the assistant did she feel much relieved.
The onlooking passersby now discussed even more vigorously.
“None of these three people are any good; they perfectly deserve each other, just don’t harm anyone else.”
“That woman deserves it too, just looking at her face makes want to vomit, and with a mask and sunglasses on, she’s clearly feeling guilty.”
“The woman’s disgusting behavior is no less than these two brothers, and there’s also—”
The passerby didn’t finish speaking when Zhan Nan harshly cursed him out.
“Are you fucking sick or what? Mind your own damn business! Get lost!”
After he said that, he glanced around at all the onlookers and roared:
“Anyone who doesn’t want to die had better scram!”
When scolded like this, the passersby left, throwing around a few “crazy” remarks, and then dispersed all at once.
Elsewhere.
As soon as Qiao Jing got ho, she saw Zhan Qipei sitting by the dining table, and the man was staring fixedly at the entrance without stopping.
She felt sohow guilty, yet she still approached the dining table with an indifferent expression, picked up a spoon without saying a word, and prepared to start eating her porridge.
She hadn’t managed to eat much at the food stand earlier because she got interrupted by those three people, and now she was still a bit hungry; eating a bit more would be just right to cover it up.
Zhan Qipei’s dark eyes remained on Qiao Jing, watching as she finished her porridge, then he finally asked:
“Where did you go?”
After making breakfast in the morning, he hadn’t seen Qiao Jing for a long ti, thinking she was still asleep, he had intended to go wake her up.
But when he arrived at Qiao Jing’s room, he discovered she wasn’t in her room at all, and after a quick check in the bathroom not finding anyone, he confird she must have gone out.
But Qiao Jing hadn’t said a word to him before going out, which was indeed a bit strange.
Qiao Jing pursed her lips, her expression remaining indifferent as she replied:
“I threw away so garbage.”
This morning when she left, she had taken the trash from her room’s wastebasket with her, planning to use this excuse to fool Zhan Qipei.
Zhan Qipei furrowed his brows, suspicion flashing across his eyes.
“But I just threw out the trash from your room yesterday.”
Upon hearing Zhan Qipei’s words, Qiao Jing’s brows slightly furrowed.
She hadn’t noticed this detail, and using the excuse of throwing out the trash to fool Zhan Qipei now seed too deliberate.
Just as Qiao Jing was about to find another excuse, Zhan Qipei’s phone began to ring.
Their conversation was interrupted, and Zhan Qipei glanced at the caller id, noticing it was Su Manhan.
He quickly tapped to answer and turned on speakerphone.
“What is it, Mom?”
Su Manhan’s tone carried anger and concern, concern for Qiao Jing, while the anger was directed at Zhan Qipei.
“Is Qiao Jing by your side?”
Zhan Qipei looked at Qiao Jing sowhat strangely, then humd a response.
“I’m on speakerphone; she can hear you.”
Then Su Manhan revealed the main reason for her call.
