Chapter 670: Chapter 659: Settling Accounts with the Lou Family!

Qiao Jing had already returned to Nantai Apartnt and was resting in her room when she suddenly received this call.

“Hello? Lady of the Zhan Family, what’s the matter?”

With a lab report in her hand, Su Manhan hastened her steps as she walked out.

“I’ve sent the driver to pick you up. I’ll take you to the Lou Family so Lou Xinrou can give you a proper apology! How dare she harm my three grandsons and such a precious daughter-in-law, we cannot let this go so easily! Since Lou Xinrou doesn’t know how to behave, I will make her family apologize to you, and then they can teach Lou Xinrou a lesson in how to be a person!”

Upon hearing Su Manhan’s words, Qiao Jing froze for a mont, her brows slowly furrowing.

“Lady of the Zhan Family… how did you find out about my pregnancy?”

Although she didn’t know how Su Manhan found out she was pregnant, now that the other party knew, it seed she had no need to hide it anymore.

After all, in the Zhan Family, except for Old Master Zhan who was still traveling and unaware, it seed everyone else knew.

Su Manhan let out an exasperated sigh and quickened her pace even more, as if she wished she could grow wings and fly to the Lou Family.

“You child, if I hadn’t brought those vegetables to the hospital and found out they contained an abortion drug, I would not have known about your pregnancy. After all, it’s not or Nanqing who is pregnant. Plus, when I noticed a slight bulge in your belly, I put two and two together.”

Before Qiao Jing could respond, Su Manhan continued to speak, her tone carrying a hint of reproach.

“Why did you hide it from ? Were you worried that if I found out, I would stop loving you and only care about the child in your belly? That won’t happen… Rest assured, I will definitely care for you even more! Or were you afraid that I would value boys over girls? You can be assured of this too, I promise that such a thing will never happen in our family.

Although I verbally wish for grandsons, it’s just a convenient way of speaking. I also love granddaughters very much, you can tell by how I treat Nanqing on a regular basis.”

At this very mont, Zhan Nanqing, who was being dragged out by Su Manhan, couldn’t help but laugh bitterly upon hearing this.

“Mom, I would believe you if you just slowed down a little bit! Your legs are practically like a sprinter’s. You’re not considering the feelings of soone in high heels at all.”

She could endure being dragged by the arm, but keeping up with her mother’s pace while in high heels was another story. If not for her years of experience in wearing high heels, she would have struggled to keep up and might have already fallen.

If her mother had wings, she would probably have already flown to the Lou Family by now.

Su Manhan gave Zhan Nanqing a disdainful look and flicked her forehead, lowering her voice.

“At this ti, if you keep quiet, no one would think you’re mute!”

Zhan Nanqing covered her forehead in pain and was about to retort when she noticed that Su Manhan had indeed slowed down sowhat.

She then reluctantly kept her mouth shut.

On the other side, Qiao Jing sighed helplessly after hearing the conversation between the mother and daughter.

“There’s no such thing, Lady of the Zhan Family, don’t overthink it.”

The reason she had hidden it was because she wasn’t completely sure about her own feelings and worried that if she couldn’t stay with Zhan Qipei, the matter of the child would lead to complications, and so she chose to keep it a secret.

But now that everyone knew, they knew.

Only then did Su Manhan breathe a sigh of relief and followed up with a question:

“Then why did you keep it from us? If we had found out only after you gave birth, raising three children on your own would be very hard, and I would feel for you.”

Upon hearing this, Qiao Jing’s eyes flickered, and a warmth flowed through her heart.

“It’s because of so other things, so it was kept a secret.”

She didn’t tell Su Manhan the truth because she was afraid it would hurt her feelings.

After all, Su Manhan had always been very concerned about the relationship between her and Zhan Qipei. If she knew that she had always kept an escape route open, it would probably break Su Manhan’s heart.

Sensing that Qiao Jing didn’t wish to elaborate, Su Manhan didn’t press her further.

“So that’s how it is, no problem, I respect your thoughts, but now that I’ve accidentally found out, you’re not angry, are you?”

Qiao Jing offered a faint “Mhm” in response, redirecting the conversation back to what Su Manhan initially wanted to say.

“Madam Zhan, are you asking to go to the Lou Family now?”

Su Manhan suddenly rembered the purpose of her call and slapped her forehead.

“Oh my goodness, yes, I’ve sent the driver to pick you up. Qipei doesn’t need to co; I can handle these matters by myself.”

She didn’t beco the Lady of the Zhan Family for nothing.

Qiao Jing pondered for a mont and glanced at the clock on the wall.

“Alright, I’ll head over now.”

She had intended to leave the matter till tomorrow since she had returned ho from Purple Garden a bit late that evening, and she went to bed early. She wanted to let Lou Xinrou spend her last safe night peacefully, but the following days would not be as easy for her as they were now.

However, Su Manhan insisted on dealing with the situation right away, faster than she expected.

But, dealing with it this way was also for the best, not letting Lou Xinrou have the chance to sleep comfortably.

Su Manhan quickly agreed several tis and hung up the phone straight away.

Lou Family.

Su Manhan and Zhan Nanqing were the first to arrive. Upon learning of their arrival, Lou Pinshu stood up and went to the door to personally welco the mother and daughter.

“Madam Zhan, it’s been a long ti since I’ve seen you. What brings you to the Lou Family today? Eh, Nanqing has grown even more beautiful.”

No sooner had he finished speaking than he noticed the peculiar expressions on the faces of the mother and daughter, and by Su Manhan’s expression, it was not hard to see that she was in an angry state, like the calm before a storm.

But he had thought about it recently, and his family hadn’t done anything to offend the Zhan Family.

At that mont, Lou Xinrou happened to co out of her room, leisurely walking down the stairs, and raised her voice to instruct the nanny downstairs.

“Auntie Tang, make a cup of tea.”

Just as she reached the bottom of the stairs, she found herself facing the group of people standing at the hallway.

Upon seeing Lou Xinrou’s carefree deanor, Su Manhan’s temper flared suddenly.

“Old Master Lou, I won’t beat around the bush, I’m here for Lou Xinrou.”

It seed that it was the right choice to co to the Lou Family personally. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have witnessed Lou Xinrou’s carefree appearance, giving not only a sense of complete lack of worry about being found out but also the impression that nothing had happened.

Zhan Nanqing looked at the extrely relaxed Lou Xinrou and rolled her eyes speechlessly.

“Yes, Grandfather Lou, we have sothing very important to discuss with her. We need all the mbers of the Lou Family to be present for this matter. Are Uncle Lou and Auntie Yang at ho?”

A few hours earlier, she had been blind to forgive Lou Xinrou!

Upon seeing their arrival, the smile on Lou Xinrou’s face vanished in an instant as her eyes widened in shock at them.

She stepped back nervously, “Auntie Su, Nanqing, what are you doing here?”

She had been curious about who could warrant her grandfather’s personal reception and had co downstairs specifically to see, only to find that it was Su Manhan and others seeking her out.

But why would they co to find her at this ti? Could it be to hold her accountable?!

Just then, the doorbell of the Lou Family rang once more.
