Chapter 379: Chapter 368: Qiao Jing Wants to Swim in Public?
Lou Xinrou’s actions in the past were vivid in her mory, and she did not want to see Lou Xinrou now.

Although she could not enter the venue with Qiao Jing, her public display of affection towards Qiao Jing let everyone else know her intentions.
When Zhan Nanqing heard the word “dessert,” her eyes lit up and she smiled, moving closer to Qiao Jing.
“Let’s go eat sothing together. My brother is probably busy discussing business with soone else right now, let’s not bother him and just enjoy our al,” she said.
Zhan Qipei glanced at the woman by his side, his long eyebrows gathered like mist, his eyes slightly displeased as he emphasized,
“Qiao Jing is my date.”
Su Manhan and Zhan Nanqing both rolled their eyes simultaneously.
Here we go again.
Just as Qiao Jing was about to say sothing, Zhan Nanqing spoke up first.
“Brother, mom and I just wanted to take Qiao Jing to have so food; we’re not trying to steal your wife. Besides, soone might want to discuss business with dad too, so you two keep busy,” she said.
She rolled her eyes in exasperation; her brother was probably treating her and her mother as rivals in love.
With a frown, Su Manhan unhesitatingly led Qiao Jing toward the dessert section.
“Alright, you two keep busy. Qipei, I’m just trying to be nice to my daughter-in-law, not stealing your wife,” she said.
Zhan Qipei’s lips were tightly pursed into a straight, uncurving line, his facial contours tense.
Although he was a bit jealous of his mother competing with him for Qiao Jing, he was very relieved to see his mother being so kind to Qiao Jing.
After all, his mother’s previous attitude towards Qiao Jing had not been very good.
He gazed at Qiao Jing with a look of reluctance, as if he had been abandoned.

Su Manhan and Zhan Nanqing stood on either side of Qiao Jing, escorting her towards the dessert section.
That’s how Qiao Jing was brought to the dessert section by the two of them.
Su Manhan ticulously chose so cakes with less cream and found so snacks as well.
“These aren’t too rich; just have sothing to fill your stomach for now. If you’re not full later, I’ll cook sothing more for you when we get ho,” she said.
Zhan Nanqing, who was eating a cupcake, looked at Su Manhan with a hint of jealousy in her eyes.
“Mom, I want so too,” she said.
With a curious glance, Su Manhan handed the food on the plate to Qiao Jing, saying,
“What do you want? I’m making this for Qiao Jing to nourish her body, stop ddling.”
Zhan Nanqing retorted discontentedly,
“I need to nourish my body too!”
With a look of disdain, Su Manhan glanced at Zhan Nanqing’s stomach.
“You’re already that fat, and you still need nourishnt?”
Upon hearing Su Manhan’s words, Zhan Nanqing looked at Qiao Jing’s stomach and then at her own, and made a surprising discovery.
By all accounts, Qiao Jing should have been more than three months pregnant, yet her waist was even thinner than that of Zhan Nanqing, a girl in her pri!
Qiao Jing felt sowhat helpless, but she didn’t want to offend Su Manhan, so she took what was offered.
“Thank you, it’s no trouble,” she said.
She could make sothing to eat by herself when she returned to Nantai Apartnt.
Knowing Qiao Jing couldn’t drink because of her pregnancy, Zhan Nanqing brought over a glass of orange juice.
“Eating cake alone can be heavy, have so orange juice,” she suggested.
The conversation among the three was clearly heard by Lou Xinrou and Yan Ting nearby, as well as by other guests around them.
The guests present were even more astonished, their faces showing a look of surprise.
“Wasn’t it said before that Mrs. Su and Miss Zhan both especially disliked Qiao Jing? Why is it like this now?”
“It looks like the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship is very good, and Miss Zhan also seems to like Qiao Jing a lot, completely different from the rumors!”
“Heh heh, it seems that soone’s earlier sarcasm and ridicule were a bit off the mark…”

The guests who had heard Yan Ting’s words before looked at her with a sarcastic gaze.

Yan Ting was startled and imdiately let go of Lou Xinrou’s hand, quickly stepping back a few paces.
Lou Xinrou noticed her reaction and imdiately switched back to her usual gentle deanor, pretending as if nothing was amiss.
“Yan Ting? What’s wrong?”
Yan Ting swallowed her saliva, her gaze towards Lou Xinrou was sowhat strange as she made an excuse to leave.
“It’s nothing, I need to find my mom.”
If it weren’t for the broken skin on Lou Xinrou’s lips, she would have thought she had seen wrong earlier.
Even though her own temperant wasn’t great, Lou Xinrou’s expression was even scarier than hers, as if she had beco soone else.
Lou Xinrou showed a gentle smile.
“Alright.”
Once the surrounding crowd had mostly dispersed, her gaze turned incredibly malicious, glaring fiercely at the three of them.
Su Manhan and Zhan Nanqing were surrounding Qiao Jing, chatting and laughing with her.
Qiao Jing’s place should have been hers!
Yet, it had been snatched away by Qiao Jing!
She definitely needed to find an opportunity quickly to let Qiao Jing realize who rightfully belonged by Brother Pei’s side!
After Qiao Jing finished the contents of her plate, Su Manhan made a suggestion.
“I’ve heard there’s an indoor temperature-controlled swimming pool here, shall we go have a look?”
Zhan Nanqing’s eyes lit up, curious as well, she asked Qiao Jing,
“I’d like to go have a look and soak a bit as well.”
Without refusing the two won, Qiao Jing accompanied them toward the swimming pool.
Standing not far from them, Lou Xinrou also lifted her foot and followed them.
While negotiating with a company’s boss, Zhan Qipei noticed from the corner of his eye that Qiao Jing was heading to another area with Su Manhan and others, feeling sowhat puzzled.
“Boss Wang, what place is that?”
After hearing Zhan Qipei’s question, Boss Wang hurriedly answered him.
“That’s the swimming pool here, which Elder Lou had reserved.”
