He started typing a ssage, wanting to ask Qiao Jing whom she was treating. After entering and deleting several sentences, he felt they were too blunt and deleted the ssages in the chat box.
Qiao Jing just watched as the chat page header showed ‘typing’ repeated several tis. She sent a ssage, “Treating Wu Xirui.”
Zhan Qipei deleted the sentence he had typed, ‘Who are you treating?’ The gloominess brought on by the Wonderful Hall issue evaporated, softening the rigid contours of his face.
His wife was being forthright with him, not even needing him to ask, she had told him directly.
Zhan Qipei curved the corners of his mouth, revealing a hint of a smile, “Would you like to pick you up?”
“No need.” Qiao Jing had arrived at the entrance of Wu Xirui’s company building and replied.
Zhan Qipei rembered sothing and sent a ssage to Qiao Jing, “Mom and Dad want us to co over for dinner tonight.”
“Okay.” Qiao Jing replied to the last ssage and then put her phone back in her pocket.
The receptionist recognized Qiao Jing and took her to the private elevator for Wu Xirui.
The elevator went straight to the top floor, and the office of Wu Xirui was right there when the doors opened.
At that mont, Wu Xirui was looking at a docunt when he heard the sound and looked up, smiling at Qiao Jing, “You’re here.”
“Yeah.” There was no trace of emotion in Qiao Jing’s tone.

“I saved it myself.” Qiao Jing began to sterilize the silver needles, replying offhandedly.

Wu Xirui watched Qiao Jing’s departing figure, the smile still on his face, as his interest in her rose several notches.
Unknown to both of them, Su Manhan had happened to pass by just as Qiao Jing entered the company.
She recognized Qiao Jing at a glance and, after realizing she was going to a company, she deliberately recorded a video and sent it to Zhan Qipei.
“Qipei, I told you she’s a temptress, and you wouldn’t believe ! She must be trying to seduce the boss here. I’ve said it before; she doesn’t deserve to enter our Zhan Family’s door. Why won’t you listen?”
