Chapter 1092: Chapter 1080: Anxious

The car drove halfway when Zhan Nanjing spotted a convenience store across the street and suddenly stopped the car.

After parking, she turned to look at Qiao Jing and pointed at the convenience store, saying, “I’ll go buy so heating pads for you. Stick them on your stomach; it should relieve so pain.”

Qiao Jing knew this thod would have so effect, so she didn’t refuse and nodded, “Alright, thank you.”

Zhan Nanjing waved her hand, “It’s no trouble at all. You don’t have to be so polite. We’re so familiar with each other, and besides, we are sowhat related!”

Hearing her say this, Qiao Jing gave a faint smile, her bloodless lips curling slightly.

“Alright, I’m off. You stay in the car and rest for a bit. I’ll be back as soon as possible.”

With that, Zhan Nanjing got out of the car and walked towards the convenience store across the street.

This street was relatively quiet, nearing evening with almost no one passing by, giving it an eerie calmness.

As Zhan Nanjing went to buy things, Qiao Jing planned to close her eyes and rest a bit.

However, just as she was about to close her eyes, she accidentally saw a group of ten or so tall and agile n erge from a nearby alley.

These n were fierce and malicious, clearly a bunch of thugs!

Moreover, the thugs were running towards her with great montum!

Witnessing this scene, Qiao Jing imdiately realized sothing was wrong. Her intuition told her these n had planned to co specifically for her.

Unfortunately, when Zhan Nanjing got out of the car, she inadvertently took the keys, otherwise, she could have driven away.

Because these people were clearly not ordinary hooligans or gangsters, in her current state, dealing with them was quite impossible!

Without the option to drive away, and unable to stay in the car doing nothing, she would be waiting to surrender, sitting there helplessly!

Suddenly, thoughts raced through Qiao Jing’s mind.

Seeing the thugs closing in quickly, she made a quick decision to get out of the car.

However, she was in terrible condition, her stomach’s pain persistently tornting her.

Grinding her teeth, enduring the tearing pain, Qiao Jing opened the car door with difficulty and stepped out.

Who knew that upon getting out and stumbling forward just a few steps, the thugs had already surrounded her.

Qiao Jing frowned as her eyes suddenly turned cold, but her pale face made her appear weak, entirely masking her imposing presence.

At this ti, those thugs exchanged glances and pulled a steel pipe from behind them.

The leader raised his hand and said harshly, “Get her! Quick and decisive!”

Upon receiving the order, the others imdiately rushed towards Qiao Jing, swinging their steel pipes at her.

With cold sweat pouring from her forehead, the severe abdominal pain robbed her of the energy to counter these n.

She used all her strength to kick away the first thug charging at her, worsening her condition.

Rarely did Qiao Jing’s face show a trace of pain.

Unable to resist, she could only grit her teeth, struggling to dodge their attacks.

But they were nurous and ard, soon draining her strength, surrounding her completely and putting her in a desperate situation.

Seeing a steel pipe about to smash her head, Qiao Jing instinctively wanted to dodge, but her body couldn’t keep up with her mind.

Besides, the prolonged pain caused dizziness.

In an instant, Qiao Jing was teetering, powerless to avoid.

When Zhan Nanjing walked out from the convenience store, she saw this scene.

Frightened, her face changed drastically, dropping what was in her hands with a clatter and screaming in terror, “Xiao Jing!!!”

If that steel pipe hit the head, even if she sohow survived, she’d likely be half-crippled for life!

In this critical mont, a figure rushed over with lightning speed.

In her panic, Zhan Nanjing realized it was Wu Xirui!

Wu Xirui rushed over, shielding Qiao Jing and raising his arm to block the fiercely descending steel pipe.

“Hiss—”

The pain penetrated, making Wu Xirui take a sharp breath.

For a mont, he felt like his arm was being forcefully broken.

However, he felt very fortunate at that mont – fortunate he happened to pass by, discovered Qiao Jing was under attack, and fortunate that his timing was apt.

If that rod had struck Qiao Jing’s head, the consequences would’ve been unimaginable!

Qiao Jing recognized Wu Xirui, but as she opened her mouth, not having said anything, her vision suddenly blacked out, and she lost consciousness.

Luckily, Wu Xirui was supporting her with his arm, preventing her from falling.

Seeing her pale face as paper, her lips bloodless, Wu Xirui couldn’t help but feel pity.

At this mont, the thugs charged in again, each attack ruthless, seemingly aiming to maim.

Wu Xirui could only hold Qiao Jing in his arm while fending off the violent thugs.

If it were just him, dealing with dozens of them would be effortless.

But protecting Qiao Jing at the sa ti made it a bit strenuous.

During the fight, Wu Xirui took two hits.

Of course, the other guys didn’t get away unscathed either.

Seeing they couldn’t gain an advantage and might face losses, the leader quickly waved his hand, signaling the rest to retreat, “Stop fighting, retreat!”

In a flash, the group vanished without a trace.

Wu Xirui didn’t bother with them, as the intense fight exacerbated his condition of myocardial ischemia, causing a sudden dull pain in his chest, making him furrow his brows.

Nonetheless, he fought through the discomfort, lifting Qiao Jing horizontally.

Just then, Zhan Nanjing ca back to her senses from the fright.

She ran over quickly, anxiously calling out a few tis, “Xiao Jing! Xiao Jing!”

Wu Xirui, gritting his teeth, ensured his discomfort wasn’t evident and spoke deeply, “Stop calling. She’s fainted. Quickly drive the car over, take her to the hospital!”

“Oh, oh! I’ll go imdiately!”

Zhan Nanjing nodded repeatedly, wasting no ti, and ran to drive the car.

After driving over, Wu Xirui got into the car with Qiao Jing in his arms.

By the ti they arrived at the hospital, dusk had settled.

While Zhan Nanjing parked, Wu Xirui, carrying Qiao Jing, rushed straight to the ergency room.

“Doctor, she’s fainted; please help her, find out what’s wrong?”

Wu Xirui, panting heavily, urgently stated his purpose.

Suddenly seeing soone run in, the doctor was taken aback.

After recovering, the doctor pointed to a nearby bed, “Place her on that bed, I’ll examine her.”

Wu Xirui hurriedly complied, carefully placing Qiao Jing on the bed.
