Not long after, Qiao Jing arrived at the duplex villa the maid had ntioned.
But upon entering, she didn’t see the three little ones anywhere.
This left her feeling sowhat puzzled.
She glanced around and noticed the villa was equipped with quite a few specialized devices for dical and agricultural research.
The Zhan Family mbers knowledgeable in dicine and agriculture were evidently the Zhan Family’s young mistress.
Could this be the place where the Zhan Family’s young mistress conducts her research?
As Qiao Jing was silently speculating, she caught sight of a shattered vase lying on the ground at a glance.
Though the vase was broken into several pieces, its original appearance could still be discerned.
Moreover, judging by its color and patterns, this was evidently an antique vase—and a rather expensive one at that!
Looking at this vase, Qiao Jing found it quite appealing, so seeing it in pieces saddened her.

Qiao Jing stepped forward, intending to pick up the vase to see if it could be repaired.
Just as she approached the broken vase, a faint voice erged from the doorway.
“Young Master, Third Miss Qiao is inside. I tried to stop her, but she wouldn’t listen and insisted on breaking in. I couldn’t stop her, so I hurried to find you.”
Hearing the maid’s words, Zhan Qipei’s already stern expression turned even colder, and his steps quickened as he almost stord into the villa.
The maid followed him in imdiately.
Seeing Qiao Jing standing in front of the broken vase, a glimr of a successful plot flashed across the maid’s eyes as she exclaid in surprise, “Oh no! This vase was the young mistress’s favorite. How did it get broken? What are we going to do now!”
Zhan Qipei’s eyes suddenly turned dark as he looked at the shattered vase on the ground, his mory pulled back to a few years ago.
Back then, he accompanied Qiao Jing shopping, and when they passed by an antique shop, Qiao Jing imdiately took a liking to this vase.
Originally, Qiao Jing wanted to buy it herself, but he used various thods to finally convince her to let him purchase the vase.
He rembered that Qiao Jing liked the vase very much and always kept it in her room.
Until later, when he transford this villa into her personal research place, she moved the vase here.
Because everything here bore her unique traces, ever since she went missing, he deed this villa a forbidden area, barring anyone from stepping inside.
Unexpectedly, the vase was broken today!
Zhan Qipei’s face was like a cold wind, his whole being enveloped in an icy aura that sent chills down one’s spine.
He strode forward and bent down to pick up the vase from the ground.
Qiao Jing instinctively advised, “Be careful…”
However, before her words were finished, Zhan Qipei’s hand had already been cut by the sharp edge of the broken vase, oozing crimson blood.
Witnessing this, Qiao Jing couldn’t help but furrow her eyebrows slightly and again reminded him, “You’re bleeding.”
Zhan Qipei seed utterly oblivious, showing no concern for his bleeding hand. With a grim face, he carefully picked up the broken pieces of the vase, holding them in his palm.
The maid standing nearby felt a surge of secret joy.
Judging by the young master’s deanor, he surely would cause trouble for Third Miss Qiao next!

As the maid reveled in her private glee, Zhan Qipei suddenly turned his gaze to Qiao Jing and sternly asked, “How do you explain this?”
The maid paused in surprise, a bit confused.
Why was the young master giving Third Miss Qiao a chance to explain?
Shouldn’t he deal with her directly and have her expelled from the Zhan Family?

“You said you ca inside to look around, but why did you ss with things? This vase was the young mistress’s favorite. Now that you’ve broken it, what if the young mistress returns soday and learns of this? She’d surely be displeased!”
Once the maid finished speaking, Qiao Jing coldly uttered, “Finished?”
Her response left the maid montarily stunned.
Given the situation, how could Third Miss Qiao remain so calm?
Was she feigning composure?
But given the current scenario, no matter how much she feigned composure, it was futile!
“Since you’ve finished, it’s my turn.”
Qiao Jing’s brows and eyes were frosty as she glared at the maid, questioning word by word, “Tell , why did you deceive , saying that Yubao and the others were here?”
The maid, already having devised a strategy, feigned ignorance, “Third Miss Qiao, what are you talking about? When did I deceive you? Besides, what does this have to do with the young master’s little ones?”
Seeing her blatantly pretending not to understand while denying her earlier statents, a mocking smirk curled at Qiao Jing’s lips.
“If you hadn’t told that Yubao and the others arranged to et here, do you think I’d co here for no reason?”
Faced with Qiao Jing’s renewed questioning, the maid continued her act, “Third Miss Qiao, listen to yourself, aside from you, who knows why you’d visit here!”
“Alright, let ask another question. Did we know each other before, do we have a grudge? Why are you setting up like this?”
As she spoke, a deeper chill spread across the corners of Qiao Jing’s lips.
Seeing Qiao Jing remaining composed and collected, a slight worry sprouted in the maid’s heart.
She dared not confront Qiao Jing further, turning instead to Zhan Qipei, arguing, “Young Master, this truly has nothing to do with . I didn’t fra her; she’s falsely accusing to shirk responsibility!”
“From what I see, coming from a small family, she’s probably trying to get so benefits here, attempting to steal so valuable items but ended up causing a loss, breaking the young mistress’s vase!”
