“Ok.” Zhou Yanru replied. “I have so docunts that require your approval. Shall I bring it to your office later?”
“Is there anything else?”
“No… Oh, Guo Mingfeng had applied for sick leave today.”
“Ok.”

After a while, a few Police Officers entered Dong Xuebing’s office. The Team Leader is a man around thirty years old. He asked emotionlessly. “Are you Dong Xuebing, Director Dong?”
Dong Xuebing nodded. “What is this regarding?”
“We are investigating a case.”
“Oh? Have a seat.” Dong Xuebing said to Zhou Yanru. “Director Zhou, can you help get a few cups of water for these Officers?”
Zhou Yanru looked at the Officers, and the Team Leader waved his hand. “No thanks. We are going off after asking so questions. Director Dong, where were you last night, around 8 pm?” One of the Officers took out a notebook.
Dong Xuebing thought for a while. “8 pm? I should be on my way ho in Guang Ming Subdistrict.”
The Officer nodded and asked. “Is the black Porsche Cayenne, with Beijing’s registration plate, your car?”
Dong Xuebing nodded.
The two Officers, standing behind, exchanged looks. They had guessed it. The registration plate number is too scary, and which Subdistrict Office’s Director dares to drive such an expensive car to work? No civil servants in Hebei Province dare to do this!
The Officer paused for a second and continued. “We have received a complaint from a guy nad Xue Xiaoliang his morning. He said he was assaulted in Guang Ming East Street. We t him in Second People’s Hospital earlier, and he is seriously injured. He suffered multiple fractures. Director Dong, can you tell us what happened yesterday?”

Zhou Yanru was shocked when she heard this na.
Dong Xuebing notices Zhou Yanru’s reaction and looks at the Officer. “I passed by Guang Ming Street last night and saw our Subdistrict Office’s Deputy Director Guo Mingfeng arguing with a young man. That young man had almost knocked into him while driving. Instead of apologizing, that young man hit Director Guo end even took out an extendable baton from his car. I imdiately went over to stop him. I tried to disarm him by twisting his arm, but he refused to stop. He even wanted to hit with the baton, and I was forced to kick him. I had hit him twice.”
The Officer asked. “Are there other witnesses?”
Dong Xuebing thought for a while. “Other than Director Guo, there is no one around.”
The Officer asked about other details before saying. “Thank you for your cooperation, Director Dong.”

Dong Xuebing felt sothing was wrong and asked. “Sister Zhou, you know this person, Zhou Xiaoliang?”
Zhou Yanru smiled wearily. “I rember the Organization Departnt Chief Xue Qingrong has a son nad Xue Xiaoliang. But I am not sure if he is the one.”

Dong Xuebing was surprised. “How does he look like?”
Zhou Yanru lowered her voice. “I have not t him before. Do you want to ask around?”
A while later, Zhou Yanru inford Dong Xuebing that the young man he had beaten up last night was the District Party Committee mber and Organization Departnt Chief Xue Qingrong’s only son!
Dong Xuebing slapped his forehead. This is a coincidence. If he knows that the District Leader’s relative is the young man, he will not go all out.
