Post-Mythical Era: I don't want to die in the third reincarnation Chapter 1: Prologue: The Twilight of Earth

In 202x, the oceans were polluted by unprincipled nations.

By November 2038, the pollution had spread globally, resulting in the death and disappearance of a large number of animals and plants. The surviving organisms struggled to adapt to the harsh environntal changes, leading to mutations in various species' genes and the ergence of unknown species.

By January 2043, Earth's biodiversity had sharply declined, and the human population plumted dramatically, with the average human lifespan falling to 60 years—and still decreasing. Resources on Earth drastically diminished, increasing the pressure to survive.

Due to the decrease in resources and the hegemony of a few Western countries combined with the changes brought about by genetic mutations in organisms, Earth faced its third chaotic war, which further reduced the population. Fortunately, this war was short-lived and ended within three years.

The chaos ended not only because people realized that continuing the conflict would lead to human extinction but also because of the increasing number of mutated fierce beasts, known as genetic beasts, which posed a serious threat to human survival.

Villages and towns were continuously annihilated by genetic beasts, prompting humans to increasingly turn to martial arts for survival and self-defense.

In March 2044, the Earth Martial Arts Alliance was established.

Martial Arts Cultivation was slow and dependent on one's aptitude, leading so to propose enhancing human strength by altering human genes.

In February 2046, the Earth Gene Alliance was established.

In August 2048, the Ocean Gene Company produced the first Genetic Potion, the Half-Ga Gene Liquid, which, when injected, could change human genes and increase lifespan by 30 years.

In September, the sa company developed the physical enhancent gene "Kukasi," which could double the strength of a normal person, making them top external force martial arts practitioners.

By July 2050, West Wind Gene Company had developed the Shi Yina Gene using the Electric Eel Gene, allowing humans a high probability of becoming electricity-manipulating tahumans.

Starting that year, humanity on Earth fully embarked on the path of gene modification, resulting in even greater stratification. This not only changed the structure of Earth but also altered the way humans lived.

The powerful resided high above, while the weak toiled in servitude, struggling to survive on the path that served the powerful.
