That ant it was all pre-recorded now.

Riley Perry gave Director Warren a look that was half-smile, half-smirk, but said nothing.

Once inside the airport, she imdiately dragged Roxanne Fulton into a changing room. When they ca out a few monts later, they had both changed into simple tracksuits.

anwhile, Victoria Koenig and a few others also went to change, looking ready for battle.

Only Miles Ford refused. He didn’t want to feel indebted to Riley Perry, and he figured it was more appropriate to change after seeing the actual filming location. So he remained in the outfit he’d worn for his entrance: a black suit jacket, a white tank top, black jeans, and black leather shoes.

The temperature in Dragonspire could get a little chilly by late September, and plenty of people in the airport were wearing light jackets, so his outfit wasn’t a problem.

Soon, a ssage appeared on all six of their watches: Board the aircraft with your team mber within five minutes.

A staff mber handed them their maps. Riley Perry called over Victoria Koenig, and the two of them headed into the airport, luggage in tow.

It was then that the livestream finally resud.

[This director really knows how to stir the pot. He started the stream secretly! The guests don’t even know, do they?]

[Hehehe, I gotta say, nice one, Director Warren!]

[No wonder Riley Perry doesn’t like Miles Ford. She just reminded everyone to change into clothes suitable for the wilderness, right? And only Miles Ford refused. Does he think that makes him look cool and different or sothing?]

[So what if our Mr. Ford doesn’t want to? Is it any of your business? Why does it feel like all these people are paid shills hired by a certain soone?]

The Shills: *That’s right, we are. But we can’t just admit it, can we?*

[Just a random viewer here, but that Riley Perry girl looks amazing even in a tracksuit! I’m a fan, I’m a fan!]

Miles Ford’s Fans: *Heh, a "fan"? Fan my ass! Could you be any more fake?*

Following the production team’s instructions, the six contestants boarded the waiting helicopters.

Miles Ford and Ethan Shaw boarded Helicopter 1, Riley Perry and Victoria Koenig were in Helicopter 2, and Silas King and Roxanne Fulton were in Helicopter 3.

To be honest, Riley Perry wasn’t thrilled with that number, but she failed to get it changed.

The three helicopters took off one after another. Once they were airborne, The Ayr Jade on Riley Perry’s wrist popped out again.

"Master, Master, this helicopter is so slow! I could fly you there myself!"

Riley Perry replied, "Yeah, right. If I actually rode on you through the sky, we’d never know a mont’s peace again."

Leo instantly deflated. "Oh, so I can’t even fly?"

"Are you dense? The Spiritual Energy in this world is scarce. Every bit you use is a bit gone forever. Right now, you get to fly without using up any of your Spiritual Power. What’s there to be unhappy about?"

Leo considered this. ’That’s true. To conserve my Spiritual Power, I can only afford to be awake occasionally as it is. I have no idea when this situation will improve, so it’s best not to use any Spiritual Power if I can help it.’

After the helicopter had been flying for over two hours, a staff mber told them to put on their parachutes.

Victoria Koenig grew worried. "Riley, I have a bad feeling about this. Why are they making us put on parachutes?"

Riley Perry carefully strapped on her equipnt. ’Of course sothing’s not right,’ she thought. ’It’s an adventure show. Would it live up to its na if there wasn’t any danger?’

She glanced impassively at the caraman’s cara. "Check your gear carefully. Be ready to be thrown out of this helicopter at a mont’s notice."

"Director Warren is a ticulous man; he doesn’t do anything without a reason. If he’s having soone teach us how to use a parachute, it ans we’re definitely jumping today."

Victoria Koenig wanted to cry. SOBS. The re thought of jumping from so high up made his legs turn to jelly. Most importantly, he was terrified he’d get so scared mid-air that he’d pee his pants!

And if the caras caught it, the humiliation would be unbearable.

The safety officer covered his mouth to hide a chuckle. Victoria Koenig’s expression was just too adorable.

Leo whispered to Riley Perry, "This kid is such a wimp."

Riley Perry sat in her seat, watching Victoria Koenig with a deadpan expression. "...Get a hold of yourself. Don’t embarrass yourself in front of the audience."

"Also, there’s sothing we need to discuss. I recall you haven’t graduated from college yet, have you?"

With a miserable look on his face, Victoria Koenig sat down. "Yeah. Why?"

"I’m twenty-two. How old are you?"

Victoria Koenig’s expression instantly returned to normal. "Twenty-one."

"So, rember to call Ria."

Victoria Koenig looked at her in disbelief. "No way. I always thought you were younger than . You just look so young—twenty at most. Who would’ve guessed you’re actually a year older?"

Sophie Cole: *...Forget it. I’ll just take that as a complint.*

"To keep your mind off it, let’s study the map together."

Victoria Koenig was a nervous wreck and desperately needed a distraction, so he quickly pulled his map from his pocket.

"I know the basics—north is up, south is down, west is left, east is right—but what are all these dots?"

"And besides, this map is way too simple. You can’t tell what’s what at all."

It was just a few pencil-drawn lines, like a child’s scribble. Anyone without a sharp mind would have trouble making sense of it.

Riley Perry said, "We’ll probably be able to figure it out once we get to the filming location and can compare it to the actual terrain."

’The director wouldn’t have rigged the map, would he?’

’No, wait. I wouldn’t put it past him.’

’This map really needs a closer look.’

With that thought, Riley Perry turned to the staff mber. "How much longer until we reach our destination?"

"About forty minutes."

"Victoria Koenig, pay attention and learn how to use the parachute properly from the instructor."

"What about you, Ria?"

"I already know how."

Victoria Koenig fell silent. He went with the safety officer to learn how to deploy the parachute in an ergency and what to do to save his own life. To his credit, his attitude was quite serious.

Riley Perry, anwhile, gazed out the window of the helicopter.

So thirty minutes later, the staff mber announced, "We’re about to arrive at the filming location. You two need to get ready to jump."

’...I knew it,’ Riley Perry thought.

Victoria Koenig’s legs turned to jelly. "We’re really jumping? Director Warren, I an, do we really have to go this far? I swear, the second I jump, I’m a goner!"

In the livestream chat, Victoria Koenig’s solo stans were all laughing hysterically: [Our Vick is afraid of heights! I feel like the director is doing this on purpose to ss with him. He’s so an! But I love to see it, more please!]

[Vick is such a wuss. The girl isn’t even scared.]

Riley Perry asked the safety officer, "Given his condition, can’t you do a tandem jump with him? What if he gets overwheld and passes out after he jumps?"

Modern parachutes are equipped with a reserve chute and an automatic activation device, so even if soone passes out, the parachute will deploy automatically at a certain altitude.

However, for a complete novice with a fear of heights, jumping alone still felt terrifyingly unsafe.

The safety officer had clearly been briefed by the production team ahead of ti. He imdiately replied, "I can do a tandem jump with him, but only if he strongly requests it."

Victoria Koenig: *...Can I strongly request not to jump at all?*

"Riley, aren’t you scared at all?"
