[This bastard is just a piece of trash..]
What the hell was he doing in hell? Wow, he couldn’t do anything and got slaughtered.
To get straight to the point, the demon that appeared this ti, Dantalion, was not captured in the subjugation battle. The knights who participated in the subjugation ultimately failed to catch him and let him slip away.
[Dantalion, what are his abilities?]
Even when attacked, he defended everything, immobilizing his opponents. With just a flick of his finger, instant death spells flew out. He was handling everything alone, damn it, LOL.
[He seems to be a magician, yeah.] [Who doesn’t know that?]
[What was it when dozens of people were wiped out in one go? The strear I was watching died then too.] [That was magic, yeah.] [So who doesn’t know that, you piece of shit?] [Your responses are so diligent^^]
The main reason for the failure was indeed the strength of the demon known as Dantalion. With his small stature, he kept unleashing magic without rest, making it impossible to withstand. Due to the relentless barrage of devastating spells, both otherworlders and NPCs were cut down.
Being a magician, the number of area-of-effect spells he had was a significant issue. Even a military-level assault would be swept away by a single spell from the opponent. What they had previously done by charging the otherworlders first only ended up giving Dantalion more ti.
Well... still, the subjugation itself went relatively smoothly. Though his magic was undoubtedly powerful, he was still just one individual.
Eventually, the sheer scale would force him to yield. Moreover, among the human ranks, there were strong fighters. It was possible to find an opening to attack Dantalion’s small body.
[But honestly, it could have been a victory, right?]
If it weren’t for those Legeton bastards, they wouldn’t have been able to retreat. Anyway, those cultists don’t help the ga at all.
[For real, LOL.] [I didn't expect them to crash in at the end like that.]
However, this ti, the Legeton intervened at the last minute. Compared to the battle against Andromalius, the demon itself was stronger, and the number of gods had increased as well. They had gained the strength to participate in such a massive battle. Because of this, the subjugation party had to return to their holand with nothing but losses.
This ti, they only confird that the demon was not easily captured, unlike the previous one.
So, what was that demon doing now, having escaped thanks to the Legeton?
Well, most of the users who joined the Legeton did so because of Seere. But that wasn’t the only reason.
Many users joined the Legeton for different reasons. Out of simple curiosity for a new group, following a friend, or perhaps thinking they might also get a quest, among others.
And so were wondering, “What if I could gain so views by streaming under the Legeton title?”
One of those was ‘Yeobyeob,’ a believer and strear of the Legeton. She did not regret her choice. Once an obscure strear, she had grown into a respectable mid-level broadcaster thanks to the uniqueness of the Legeton.
Just sharing a few stories related to the Legeton during her communication streams drew in thousands of viewers. Though it was a vile organization, it was one of the choices the users could make.
People might be curious about the information. Thanks to this, Yeobyeob was still raking in views. She praised her past self for joining the Legeton. And that praise continued even now, with the demon Dantalion right in front of her.
“Phew, thanks to that, I managed to escape without much trouble. By the way, who are you all?”
“Nothing much. I am Harold, the fourth tribe leader.”
Having worked hard in the Legeton, Yeobyeob had now beco a talent capable of undertaking significant tasks alongside the higher-ups. After all, she was also a high-level user, and as an otherworlder, she could resurrect even if she died. She was well-suited for dangerous missions.
She looked at the demon before her, whose face was changing constantly, and thought,
‘This is an opportunity!’
Who would have thought there would be another chance to encounter a demon like when she faced Seere? She could already see the countless views that would co in just by sharing this story on her stream.
Of course, the demon before her was vastly different from Seere. Unlike Seere, whose charming smile would make anyone laugh, the demon before her sent chills down her spine just by looking at him.
His body was technically that of a “man,” but his face was incredibly grotesque. His facial muscles were constantly shifting and changing.
‘Ugh, that’s creepy...’
Because of that, she felt nothing but disgust. This ga had a strangely grueso aspect in so places. It certainly looked demonic, though...
Just as she was thinking this.
“......”
Suddenly, Dantalion’s gaze turned toward her. Although he still had a polite smile, Yeobyeob felt nothing but fear upon seeing it.
She had thought he would be speaking to the tribe leader all along. Why was he suddenly looking at her when she was just standing behind like a curtain?
As she pondered this, Dantalion asked.
“You’re an otherworlder, I see? And you also stream?”
“Uh? Ah, yes. That’s correct...”
Yeobyeob felt a mont of panic, but she nodded her head anyway. She swallowed a curse inside.
‘What the hell...’
How did he know she was a strear without her even saying anything? Could he read player logs or information recorded in capsules, just like the Illusionist?
A mont of confusion flooded her mind. anwhile, Dantalion continued speaking.
“Here’s a piece of advice. Please be careful with your thoughts in front of .”
“Ah, yes... understood.”
Honestly, she didn’t fully grasp what he ant, but Yeobyeob nodded. She didn’t want to attract any more attention from him.
“So, what do you seek by helping ?”
Fortunately, Dantalion’s interest quickly dissipated. Upon arriving at the Legeton’s branch, he asked the tribe leader.
The tribe leader, hearing the question, bowed casually and replied.
“Do you think I would dare to ask for anything from you, Lord Dantalion? Just being able to serve you is enough.”
“...That’s a lie. While I appreciate the respect you show , please don’t beat around the bush. I dislike people who speak differently from what they think.”
Though a smile still lingered on his lips, it was a strangely chilling statent.
Upon hearing this, the tribe leader hurriedly offered an apology.
“I’m sorry.”
“Haha, it’s alright. Then let ask once more. What do you seek?”
“I wish to borrow the authority of the demon.”
The tribe leader continued.
“What I desire is for our Legeton to stand tall in this world. To make other kingdoms bow before us. We need the overwhelming authority of the demon.”
“What a grand and vile desire. However, I appreciate your honesty.”
Dantalion smiled broadly and began to speak again. His facial muscles shifted, forming a dark and sinister male face. It seed to be the face that suited him best.
“However, it would be difficult with just my own power. I felt that while dealing with those humans just now. Unless it’s Lord Paimon... Do you happen to have any other demons besides ?”
“Not at the mont. However, there are ways to find them.”
The tribe leader, Harold, said this while handing sothing to Dantalion. It was the arm of Andromalius. He had already received permission from the chairman.
Though he had only one use left and had saved it until now, it was an item he was able to receive thanks to the assistance given for the demon’s descent.
If he could summon a demon with this, the position of the fourth tribe leader would be further solidified.
Dantalion, seeing Andromalius’s arm, let out a laugh.
“This is the arm of soone familiar.”
“Do you know him?”
“Of course. Though we aren’t in the sa faction, we are both demons who have received a rank. I can roughly guess how to use it.”
Saying that, Dantalion picked up the item. The arm of Andromalius quickly began to corrode in his hand. This indicated that he was using the item’s ability.
Creak...
As the sound of the arm drying echoed, Dantalion’s voice rang out.
“You’re asking to find a shrine with this, aren’t you? Well, it seems our intentions align sowhat. I will specifically find a powerful demon for you.”
It seed he knew not only how to use it but also how to use it more effectively.
Perhaps it was because he was a demon as well. Eventually, the arm of Andromalius, which had been corroding rapidly, pointed in one direction as if it was using its last bit of strength.
A city located at the edge of the empire. In that city, it took quite a walk to reach the forbidden area where even humans could hardly enter.
Upon confirming the direction of the arm, Dantalion smiled and said.
“That way, then. Shall we go check it out?”
Commonly referred to by people as the “Forbidden Forest.” That was the direction the arm was pointing.
In the forest, where grass and trees were lush, a magical energy flowed all year round. The thick magical energy flowing everywhere could consu and mutate small creatures. It made them stronger and more ferocious.
In the past, people died at the hands of the fierce beasts that ca out of the forest, and gradually began to avoid it. They even added the adjective “forbidden” to the forest to imply not to enter.
However, due to this avoidance, people inevitably remained ignorant of the forest. They never bothered to investigate when the magical energy began to circulate in this forest and where it was flowing from. Naturally, they didn’t know the cause either.
And that was the sa for the only human living in this forest.
“Hm~ The weather is nice today.”
Yor was no different.
