Ariana recalled her Excadrill into its Poké Ball and released her final Pokémon, which was also her ace—a Shiny Gyarados.
"Roar!"
Its massive, serpentine body, terrifyingly fierce face, and crimson scales radiated an intimidating presence that rivaled even ga Charizard Y in terms of sheer aura.
Just then, a commotion erupted from the sidelines as several elderly figures, surrounded by an entourage, entered the VIP viewing section through the main entrance.
Though it was only a brief glimpse, everyone imdiately recognized these elders as retired Heavenly Kings mbers and forr Champions who had settled in Emberre City. They had clearly caught wind of the news and rushed over to witness the spectacle.
Simultaneously, an increasing number of reporters gathered outside the venue, drawn like owth to cream, all scrambling to obtain firsthand coverage of ga Evolution.
Everyone understood that an epic transformation was about to unfold.
There was no question that the massive power boost from ga Evolution would significantly impact the rankings of the Heavenly Kings and even the Champion position. No one wanted to risk losing their prestigious title.
...
"Contestant Jacob, who was initially at a disadvantage, has revealed his secret weapon. His Charizard actually underwent another evolution during the battle, dramatically increasing its combat capabilities."
"The evolved Charizard, displaying an unstoppable presence, has consecutively defeated contestant Ariana's Hippowdon and Excadrill, securing the first match point. Now Jacob stands just one victory away from the Championship. If he can defeat Gyarados, Jacob will claim this High School Cup."
"However, Ariana's Gyarados is her most formidable Pokémon and will not be easily defeated like her previous Hippowdon and Excadrill."
"To this day, Ariana's Gyarados has maintained a perfect record whenever it has battled!"
"Let's see who will claim the Frosthollow Province Championship title."
...
As Julio's enthusiastic comntary echoed through the arena, the battle between Charizard and Gyarados was about to comnce.
The audience in the venue watched with complete focus, witnessing this crucial confrontation.
"Gyarados, we can absolutely win this!" After her Shiny Gyarados appeared, Ariana's eyes blazed with renewed fighting spirit.
As long as Gyarados was by her side, she refused to accept defeat. She and her Gyarados had never lost a single battle against trainers their age! Now she firmly believed that her Gyarados would erge victorious, regardless of how powerful the opponent might be. "Gyarados, use Stone Edge!"
"Charizard, we will never lose either!"
Jacob sensed the confidence radiating from Ariana's voice, and a determined smile crossed his face.
Nobody wanted to lose, and everyone had compelling reasons to win, but only one trainer could erge victorious. I must win this battle as well. "Charizard, use Ancient Power!"
ga Charizard Y possessed a four-tis weakness to Rock-type attacks, while Gyarados had a double weakness to Rock-type moves. At this crucial mont, both trainers chose to employ Rock-type attacks.
Rock-type energy gathered before Charizard, instantly forming a massive gray-brown boulder that hurtled toward Gyarados.
Similarly, Gyarados's body beca surrounded by Rock-type energy, creating sharp stone projectiles as it launched itself fiercely at Charizard.
"Charizard, maintain your distance! Don't allow Gyarados to close in!"
Charizard beat its wings powerfully, soaring through the air while increasing the gap between itself and Gyarados.
However, Ariana's Gym Leader-level Gyarados possessed exceptional strength. Its dragon-like body danced through the air like a sharp arrow, suddenly lunging at Charizard and forcing the Fire-type to retreat toward the arena's corner.
"Gyarados, pursue it!"
"Roar!"
Gyarados moved with incredible speed, possessing velocity that seed impossible for such a massive, crimson-scaled body. In re seconds, the distance between the two Pokémon diminished significantly.
"Stone Edge!"
Utilizing its enormous size and speed advantage, Gyarados enveloped its body with Rock-type energy, creating sharp stone spikes as it crashed directly into Charizard.
Realizing that shaking off Gyarados's relentless pursuit was impossible, Jacob steeled his resolve. Rather than continuing to take hits defensively, it was better to launch an all-out offensive. "Blast Burn, Charizard!"
Charizard's body erupted with scorching temperatures, its entire form becoming engulfed in flas and radiating brilliant light like a miniature sun. It appeared as though two suns blazed in the sky above the battlefield.
Dancing flas swirled through the air!
"Boom!"
Gyarados slamd into Charizard's body, its sharp stone spikes piercing through Charizard's defenses and inflicting severe damage. Simultaneously, intense flas completely enveloped Gyarados.
Despite Gyarados's natural resistance to Fire-type attacks, it still sustained considerable damage from the powerful Blast Burn.
Jacob observed this exchange, his brow furrowing slightly. At this point, he had gained a preliminary understanding of ga Evolution's power increase. An Overlord-class Charizard, after utilizing ga Evolution, was roughly equivalent to a Gym Leader-level Gyarados in terms of combat capability.
This represented a complete major tier advancent in battle power. Such a trendous increase made Jacob realize that ga Evolution Stones and Keystones would undoubtedly command unimaginably high values.
Simply by collecting Keystones and ga Stones, Jacob could beco extraordinarily wealthy. However, such vast wealth would inevitably attract the covetous attention of others.
Nevertheless, Jacob had no ti to contemplate these implications at the mont. The most critical objective right now was winning this battle. The matter of ga Evolution could be addressed later; he simply wanted to claim victory and secure the Frosthollow Province Championship title.
Given the current circumstances, it remained quite challenging for ga Charizard Y alone to defeat Gyarados.
It had to be acknowledged that Ariana was truly a formidable trainer. If she hadn't encountered him, she would undoubtedly have beco this year's Frosthollow Province High School Cup Champion.
Even now, after he had employed ga Evolution and clashed with Ariana's Gyarados, he still couldn't gain a decisive advantage and couldn't claim with absolute certainty that victory was assured.
Fortunately, he still had his Sceptile in reserve. If one ga Charizard Y couldn't match Gyarados, then adding Sceptile to the equation would definitely be sufficient.
"Gyarados, continue with Stone Edge!"
After executing Blast Burn, Charizard entered a brief period of recharge stiffness, and Gyarados imdiately seized this opportunity, gracefully maneuvering through the air before unleashing another Stone Edge attack.
Rock-type energy coated Gyarados's body, forming razor-sharp stone projectiles around its fra as it launched itself aggressively at Charizard.
Gyarados's massive form streaked across the sky like a crimson teor, creating a red trail as it prepared to collide with Charizard's body.
Charizard finally recovered from its temporary paralysis!
"Charizard! Use Blast Burn again!"
"Boom!"
Blazing flas directly consud the entire battlefield, a thunderous explosion resonated throughout the arena, and thick black smoke obscured the venue completely.
"Roar!"
Gyarados's powerful roar pierced through the dense smoke, dispersing it entirely. The injuries covering its body only served to further ignite Gyarados's ferocious nature.
In stark contrast, Charizard's stamina had reached its absolute limit, breathing heavily and appearing ready to lose consciousness at any mont!
"Ariana's Gyarados is truly formidable. Even when facing the evolved Charizard, it continues to hold its ground."
"Jacob's Charizard appears to be at its breaking point, but Jacob still has his Sceptile available, so the final outco remains uncertain."
Observing the exhausted Charizard struggling to remain airborne, a confident gleam flashed in Ariana's eyes. So what if it evolved during battle? Don't underestimate the bond between
and my Gyarados—we will absolutely claim the Championship title.
