"I used to think… if Pokémon evolved, they wouldn't be themselves anymore."
Yellow's voice trembled, but it did not break.
"Yes, evolution makes them stronger. But I kept rejecting it…"
She raised her head, eyes burning despite the blood running down her face.
"But right now—I need your strength."
"So everyone… please… fight with . Let's defeat Lance together!"
"…Gastly!"
She released the last Poké Ball that truly belonged to her.
The Gastly she had once obtained at the abandoned Power Plant erged.
"Everyone—together! Charge!!!"
She thrust her hand forward with a desperate scream.
"There it is… show !"
Lance's eyes widened with feverish excitent.
And then—
Under his gaze—
All of Yellow's Pokémon began to shine.
Dragonair's slender body thickened—
expanded—
evolved into Dragonite.
Doduo split again into three heads—becoming Dodrio.
The small, gentle Ice Dragon's form surged as though crossing the river of ti itself, transforming into a towering Aurorus-like dragon.
Caterpie skipped two evolutionary stages in an instant—
becoming Butterfree.
Gastly leapt beyond Haunter—
becoming Gengar.
"Remarkable…"
Lance stared.
"Gengar normally requires a trade to evolve. Yet this natural force has shattered even that rule."
The evolutions weren't flawless. They lacked the refinent of Pokémon trained ticulously by soone like Lance.
But to force full evolution in an instant—
to elevate them directly to their final forms—
was astonishing.
Yet what shocked him more—
Was what ca next.
The seven Pokémon began absorbing natural energy like floodgates opening.
Their power surged violently.
If strength could be asured in levels—
His Dragonite stood near the pinnacle.
But Yellow's Pokémon?
Their levels beca—
Unasurable.
A question mark.
"Not good… Dragonite—Safeguard!"
For the first ti against Yellow—
Lance took a defensive stance.
Dragonite crossed its claws before its face as a shimring barrier of multicolored light ford around it.
And then—
The storm struck.
"Dragonite—Dragon Rage!"
"Dodrio—Tri Attack!"
"Aurorus—Ice Beam!"
"Pikachu—Thunderbolt!"
"…"
The natural force raging through Yellow made tactics irrelevant.
She couldn't micromanage seven Pokémon.
So she gave one command—
Attack.
All of them.
Draconic fury.
Freezing beams.
Ghostly waves.
Blazing lightning.
Countless lights converged—
twisting into a single cataclysmic shockwave.
The atmosphere was blasted away.
Lava within the blast radius was extinguished.
Volcanic rock was pulverized into dust.
Color overwheld the sky.
Lance and Dragonite froze in place—
unable to move even a step.
"Dragonite—hold it!! AAAAAH—!"
Lance crouched on Dragonite's shoulder as the explosion detonated in front of them.
Dragonite was hurled backward.
Scales tore free.
Bone wings snapped.
Blood sprayed like a fountain—
only to freeze midair.
Lightning danced across its body.
They crashed into a rock wall.
Magma erupted outward, turning instantly into black volcanic ash.
The chaotic torrent pierced the island itself—
before dissipating into the heavens.
Lance was thrown into the rock alongside Dragonite.
His cloak was shredded.
His body trembled in pain.
Dust and ash covered him like a beggar clawing out of the earth.
"Close… that was too close."
He stood shakily atop Dragonite's shoulder and pressed his palm against its head.
Viridian Power.
Healing began instantly.
Wounds closed visibly.
As he healed Dragonite, he looked at Yellow.
She and her Pokémon stood—
barely.
Completely drained.
They had poured everything into that one strike.
"Ha… You exceeded your limits."
"That natural force… terrifying."
"For a mont… you nearly defeated ."
His voice was quiet.
"But after that attack—you've lost."
"What can you possibly use to stop now, Yellow of Viridian?"
Dragonite's wounds sealed fully.
Yellow did not heal her Pokémon.
They weren't injured—
They were empty.
"Well then. I understand this natural force now."
"You may rest for now."
"When I win, I'll return to learn how to wield that power properly."
"Zekrom—"
Dragonite took to the sky once more.
Lance pointed upward.
The volcano trembled violently.
From within the crater—
A massive black dragon slowly rose.
Magma slid down its wings.
Its tail began spinning—
sparking with imnse lightning.
Zekrom.
Its crimson eyes locked onto Yellow.
At last—
Lance had summoned the Legendary Dragon.
"You've done well."
"Now step aside."
"Fusion Bolt."
"RAAAAAAA—!"
The Dragon of Ideals roared.
Thunder split the heavens.
Lightning crossed the sky in an X-shaped blaze.
A blinding cross-shaped bolt tore downward.
The sky was consud in white.
Even lava seed dull beside it.
Yellow's vision vanished—
In that final mont—
She clutched the Poké Ball around her neck and hurled it forward.
"Miss wtwo—please!"
A majestic psychic force exploded outward.
Overwhelming.
It collided head-on with Zekrom's Fusion Bolt.
Psychic light scattered across the sky, interwoven with crackling lightning.
A thunderous explosion shook the heavens.
When the smoke cleared—
wtwo stood revealed.
"Hmm?"
Lance's eyes narrowed.
Before he could process why wtwo was in Yellow's possession—
Another voice echoed through the roaring volcano.
"Picking on a little girl? Since when did that suit you?"
"Your opponent has always been , Lance."
"Latias—Dragon Breath!"
A blazing stream of dragon fire descended from above.
It struck Zekrom directly—
And blasted the Legendary Dragon back into the magma below.
The battlefield shifts again.
Yellow has awakened nature.
Lance has summoned legend.
And now—
Logan has entered the war.
The true final clash begins.
