"wtwo!"

Riding atop the form of Rayquaza that w had transford into, Logan soared higher into the skies, his voice booming as he called out.

In the midst of a fierce clash with Giovanni's Beedrill, wtwo's body froze for a mont. Its eyes glead with psychic brilliance as it unleashed a massive psychic pulse, blasting Beedrill back and buying a sliver of ti. Then, with a sharp glance toward Logan, wtwo nodded and retreated swiftly, vanishing into the Master Ball it carried.

Logan had earlier entrusted the Master Ball to Green, who had secretly kept it hidden. Since re-erging, wtwo had carried the Master Ball itself. Now, returning inside, the sphere streaked through the air and landed firmly in Logan's hand.

"Rayquaza, Air Slash!"

Beedrill darted toward them with murderous intent. Logan reacted instantly, commanding the transford Rayquaza. The dragon's tail lashed, summoning countless razor-edged air blades that shrieked across the skies, sharp enough to cleave rock and steel alike.

Beedrill spun furiously, its twin stingers flashing like a blur. With swift, violent precision, it shredded every one of the slicing gusts.

Logan, however, wasn't concerned with prolonging this skirmish. He had no interest in testing his endurance against Giovanni's Beedrill head-on. Instead, once Rayquaza halted its advance, Logan wheeled it around and darted in the direction of Red and Blue Oak.

He'd have to fight smart—stall, harry, and drain the creature's stamina while relying on the versatility of his legendary partner.

Giovanni, watching from below, scowled darkly. The sudden appearance of w had disrupted his carefully laid plans. What should have been a decisive, certain victory had turned chaotic, uncertain.

"Hmm? Soone's attacking the psychic barrier troops around Saffron?"

The signal device in his pocket buzzed sharply, drawing his attention. Giovanni's eyes narrowed as he checked it. His expression soured further.

The Gym Leaders should still be kept outside… if soone's breaking through, then either those brats aren't alone—or another intruder has snuck in.

Breaking through a psychic barrier wasn't a feat for ordinary Trainers. Whoever it was had imnse power. And the fact they'd slipped inside undetected left Giovanni uneasy.

Though his plan had always been desperate and rushed, even he hadn't predicted obstacles piling one after another like this.

If the barrier falls, and all the Gym Leaders make it into the city… things will spiral fast.

Giovanni's gaze cut back to the sky. Logan soared above, commanding the form of Rayquaza, with wtwo safe within his grasp. For the first ti, Giovanni felt a flicker of real danger.

He knew his strength was formidable, but even he wasn't arrogant enough to think he could handle the combined assault of multiple Gym Leaders and Logan, who commanded not one but two legendary Pokémon. And now, an unknown infiltrator was also moving through the city. A misstep here could ruin everything.

"…Then Team Rocket must retreat into the shadows, for now." Giovanni muttered coldly. "Let's see what it is you're trying to achieve, Logan."

His gaze glinted dangerously, and his command slowed Beedrill's pursuit. Instead of lunging, the insect circled in the air, waiting.

Giovanni reached into his tattered suit pocket, pulling free a pristine white handkerchief. A harsh cough rattled his chest, crimson specks staining the fabric.

"…My body's failing. But I must endure—at least until my goal is complete."

Though his fight with Logan had left him seemingly unhard, the toll was imnse. The ntal strain and energy expenditure were burning through his reserves.

"What the—what is that?"

Elsewhere in the battlefield, Red's voice trembled with awe. He stared at the colossal erald dragon cutting through the skies, its scales gleaming like liquid jade.

"Must be so legendary Pokémon… Doesn't matter! Logan's in control of it, so quit gawking, Red—watch out, the bird's coming again!"

Blue Oak's voice cracked as he braced against the endless onslaught of the fused Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno.

"I know! Shut up and fight!" Red snapped back, forcing his battered body forward. His movents were stiff, worn like rusted gears grinding under strain. Neither he nor Blue had expected this battle to beco so grueling, yet they could only grit their teeth and endure.

High above, Sabrina rode the fused avian monstrosity, her psychic powers guiding its rampage. She spotted the swirl of storm clouds shifting around Logan's dragon form.

"…So, he escaped Giovanni."

Her sharp eyes glinted, her lips curling slightly. She knew Giovanni's power intimately. Even with wtwo, Logan shouldn't have stood a chance. And yet—there he was, unhard, still fighting.

A flicker of relief passed through her. Why relief? She scowled inwardly. She should have been furious, intent on vengeance, yet seeing Logan alive and whole… comforted her.

Her irritation boiled over. Her voice thundered across the skies:

"Legendary Birds—Sky Attack!!"

With a piercing cry, the fused trio surged upward, slicing through the clouds. Then, wings folding, they dove like a living cot straight at Logan's dragon.

"Dream… transform into Giratina!" Logan countered.

Rayquaza's outline distorted, its form twisting into a nightmarish serpentine dragon cloaked in shadows. Though this imitation lacked Giratina's dominion over the Distortion World, its spectral form combined with Logan's Dragon Aura radiated unflinching defiance.

Attack after attack ca. Sabrina commanded rcilessly, forcing the Legendary Birds to unleash an endless barrage:

"Heat Wave!"

"Transform into Palkia—Aqua Tail!"

"Thunderbolt!"

"Dialga—Roar of Ti!"

"Blizzard—don't stop!"

"Ho-Oh—Sacred Fire!"

On and on.

Yet Logan t every move, countering with transformations one after another. Though false, each legendary guise carried fragnts of true power, allowing him to respond in kind.

From the mouth of Ho-Oh's form, a brilliant rainbow fla burst, searing through blizzard winds. The skies beca a kaleidoscope of color—fire, frost, thunder, and shadow colliding endlessly.

And Sabrina… scread in fury. None of her attacks landed true. Her commands grew frantic, desperate, as Logan and w slipped seamlessly from one form to the next, as if wielding the strength of every legend at once.

Elsewhere, Green stirred faintly.

"Miss Green? Miss Green?" Daisy Oak's anxious voice called, gently shaking her. She had led Green to a safe spot after wtwo delivered her there, tending to her through the chaos.

"…I—I'm alive? He saved , didn't he? What's happening out there?"

Green's voice was weak, her eyes fluttering open. Though she didn't recognize Daisy, her first instinct was worry—not for herself, but for the battle raging in the skies.

"…It's not clear yet," Daisy murmured, her expression heavy with guilt at being powerless to help.

"That bird…"

Green forced herself upright, trembling as she looked toward the monstrous bird circling above. But then her eyes widened, catching sight of the other Pokémon—shifting forms, one after another.

"…What is that… what keeps changing like that?"

Not waiting for an answer, Green scrambled for her Pokédex.

"We have to tell Logan! That bird—it isn't natural. Sabrina fused Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres together using a machine and three badges. If we destroy the machine, or take the badges, the fusion will collapse!"

Just then, w—transford into Ho-Oh—blazed across the sky.

The rainbow fire spilled across the heavens, illuminating the battlefield in brilliant hues. The war-torn city seed to vanish, replaced by a dreamscape of shimring light.

Green's breath caught. Her vision tunneled on the majestic bird. Her heartbeat froze.

"So… so beautiful…"

Beside her, Daisy's eyes sparkled like stars, utterly entranced by the spectacle.

"W-whoa… Miss Green, wait—are you fainting again?!"

Her voice spiked into panic as Green collapsed back into unconsciousness, the rainbow still burning above.
