Of course, Sabrina knew that Logan had wtwo with him. Especially under circumstances like this, not even she could prevent wtwo from carrying Logan and Blue Oak away. In other words—Sabrina never truly intended to kill him from the very beginning. What she wanted was simply to watch Logan, the so-called "Dragon Tar," flee in embarrassnt.
This woman… her pride was truly unshakable.
"The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signals here are actually pretty decent."
Logan muttered, saying sothing completely out of context, making Sabrina and Koga both raise their brows in confusion. Without bothering to explain, he casually flipped open the Pokédex.
"…What are you trying to say?"
By now, Sabrina had nearly developed an immunity to Logan's infuriating remarks. She had to admit—humans were highly adaptable creatures. A mont ago, she'd been enraged by his careless words that had damaged her reputation, yet now she'd already cooled down, pretending not to hear the nonsense dripping from his lips.
"I an…"
Logan aid the scanner light at the top of his Pokédex directly at Koga. Both Sabrina and Koga looked puzzled. Of course, they knew Oak's device—at best, it contained so of Professor Oak's research data and knowledge. That detection lamp could identify Pokémon, nothing more.
But to Team Rocket, the Pokédex was useless. Oak's work was foundational—yes, his theories shaped modern Pokémon research, and countless scientific achievents were built upon it. But Oak was a theorist. His findings were broad and academic, not practical weapons. Team Rocket needed imdiate results—technology that could be weaponized. Oak's ecological research held little appeal.
So what was Logan doing, aiming it at Koga? Treating him as a Pokémon?
Sabrina felt instinctively uneasy, though she couldn't quite identify the problem.
"…Sabrina, you and I know each other well. Every detail—every part of each other's bodies—we know them inside and out."
Logan's shaless words made Sabrina's lips twitch. If Surge, that loudmouthed brute, had overheard this, the whole world would know within hours. Thankfully, Koga was discreet. Still, she had to suppress the almost irresistible urge to slap Logan senseless. She forced herself to remain calm, listening further.
"…But because you know so well, you've made a fundantal mistake. Yes, wtwo, Gabite, and Dragonair are strong. They're trained to perfection, and they resonate with . But to think that my team ends there? That's your greatest error."
Sabrina's eyes narrowed, alarm flashing within them. She was about to shout a warning—"Be careful!"—when Logan suddenly smirked and declared:
"Mr mi—Kidney Strike!"
"Kidney Strike?!"
Neither Sabrina nor Koga had ever heard of such a move. But in the next instant, they understood exactly what it ant.
The Pokédex's detection lamp blazed, shooting out a beam of light. At such close range, Koga's Muk had no ti to react. The beam condensed into the form of a Mr mi, which shot forward with surgical precision, its sharp beak slamming viciously into Koga's waist.
The strike landed directly where the human kidney was located. The so-called "Kidney Strike" was literally a Tackle to the kidneys.
"Ughhh—!!" ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ novel-fire.ɴet
Koga's face instantly drained of color. His mouth gaped open, his eyes bulged, and his already thin, half-starved fra looked deathly pale. The agony was unbearable—like being kicked hard in the groin. He couldn't even scream. He simply wheezed like a broken bellows, air escaping uselessly from his throat.
Clutching his side, Koga collapsed onto one knee, his features twisted grotesquely. A cold fear ran through him as a thought surfaced—had he just lost one of his "functions" as a man? A small part of him almost sighed with relief that he already had a child.
anwhile, Sabrina hovered in the air, wide-eyed, uncharacteristically rattled. "Where… where did you get a Mr mi?!"
"Of course, it's not mine."
Logan shot a glance at Blue, who still seed dazed, before shrugging. "That kid's got so brains. The mont he realized things might turn bad, he uploaded his Mr mi into his Pokédex system. He even set it so that if any registered Pokédex holder showed up here, they could download and temporarily use it."
"See, Mr mi is a fascinating Pokémon. As for how Blue got his hands on such a rare Pokémon, even I don't know. Logan arched a brow, smiling smugly at Sabrina as though to say: And once again, I win.
Sabrina fell silent for a mont. Then, unexpectedly, the ever-cold, untouchable woman suddenly laughed.
Her laughter was pure, crystalline. For a mont, she was like a snow lotus blooming on a frozen mountain peak. Logan actually froze, startled by the sight.
Her smile was flawless—radiant, genuine, and breathtaking against her alabaster skin.
"…Hmph. Once again, you win."
Her voice carried both resignation and inevitability. Against this man, she felt utterly helpless. No matter how hard she tried, she always ended up ensnared by his calculations.
But true victory or defeat… would only be determined in the final battle.
"Take this."
She tossed sothing toward Logan.
Clap!
He caught it, glancing at his palm. It was a USB drive.
"The contents—and the Pokémon inside—should interest you."
Her cool voice lingered as psychic winds gathered around her. With Koga enveloped beside her, the gust lifted them both, and in the blink of an eye, they were gone.
Silence descended over the Ghost Tower. Only Logan and Blue remained.
Logan twirled the USB between his fingers, curiosity burning in his eyes.
"Well, now you've really piqued my interest. What exactly is in here?"
He nearly plugged it in imdiately, impatience gnawing at him. But first—he had to make sure Blue was safe.
