Two Pokemon down in rapid succession. The crowd was going wild, but Chadri's face remained calm - the calm of soone who'd already expected the worst.

"Two Legendary moves..." Chadri muttered to himself as he recalled Excadrill. "Fire against steel. Psychic power that defies logic."

He looked at his remaining four Pokeballs. His hand hovered over each one, calculating, strategizing.

Speed hadn't worked, Excadrill was too slow to stop trono. Power hadn't worked, Cobalion was overwheld.

What he needed now was sothing that could defend. Sothing that could withstand whatever Togepi threw at it.

"If I can't stop trono," Chadri said quietly, "then I'll survive it and counter."

He grabbed his third Pokeball, one that contained sothing very special.

A flash of purple light, not the usual red of a Pokeball. This was different.

Floating in mid-air was a sword and shield co to life. The blade glead with ghostly purple energy, its single eye staring from the golden shield. Ethereal and ancient, it radiated an aura of royalty.

"AEGIS..." Its haunting voice echoed across the arena.

Aegislash, The Royal Sword Pokemon. Ghost/Steel-type with the unique ability to shift between offensive Blade Form and defensive Shield Form.

"An Aegislash!" The audience gasped.

"That's not just any Aegislash," soone in the crowd whispered. "Look at the markings on the shield, that's a Pokemon that served kings!"

Aegislash was rare. Exotic. And most importantly, it had the perfect ability for this situation.

Stance Change, it could switch between impenetrable defense and devastating offense at will.

Togepi couldn't possibly randomly pull out a Legendary Pokemon's signature move again, right?

Right!?

However, so people held opposing opinions.

"Co on, this is the Eight Masters tournant, naturally you want to use full strength to defeat your opponent! The previous Pokemon was defeated, so sending out the next Pokemon to counter the opponent's Pokemon, isn't this completely normal move to take?"

Chadri wasn't taking chances this ti.

"Aegislash, King's Shield imdiately!" he commanded.

The exotic blade shifted instantly into its defensive Shield Form. The golden shield expanded, glowing with royal power, a move that not only blocked attacks but harshly lowered the Attack of any Pokemon that made contact.

Whatever Togepi pulled, the King's Shield would stop it.

John smiled. "Togepi, trono!"

"Toge toge pi~" Togepi happily waved its little hands.

Invisible energy began spreading as Togepi's fingers swayed.

Chadri watched carefully. "Whatever cos, block it!"

But instead of an attack forming in front of Togepi, the air around Aegislash itself began to distort.

Ti seed to slow.

Aegislash tried to move, tried to adjust its shield, but its entire body froze in place as if ti itself had stopped.

Then—

BOOOOM!

A massive beam of deep blue energy erupted from thin air, slamming into Aegislash from point-blank range. The temporal energy didn't co from Togepi, it manifested directly around the target!

The King's Shield ant nothing. You can't block an attack that appears inside your defenses.

Aegislash was blasted backward, spinning through the air like a thrown blade.

CRASH!

It hit the wall and fell, eyes spiraled, completely defeated.

"Aegislash is unable to battle! Togepi wins!"

The audience looked at each other in bewildernt.

"What technique did Togepi randomly pull this ti?"

"That was... Dialga's Roar of Ti!"

Chadri gritted his teeth. Three down. And that tiny Togepi had taken down his legendary Cobalion, his Excadrill, and his Aegislash with perfect counter-typing each ti.

The Steel Emperor's pride was being shredded by an egg-shaped baby Pokemon.

"Fourth Pokemon..." Chadri's voice was strained as he reached for his belt. He needed to stop this Togepi's rampage before it swept his entire team.

Ti to bring out sothing from another world.
