Not bad at all. That was only half power, but the results were still terrifying!
Originally thinking it would only serve as a punching bag, Ho-Oh hadn't expected it could also make others serve as its target.
Therefore, Ho-Oh very happily unleashed its full power.
Leading with Sacred Fire.
From this single attack alone, John could already assess ga Aggron's Special Defense strength.
The King Arsenal's 150% Special Defense increase was certainly substantial. Combined with the 50% type-disadvantage weakness reduction, type matchups barely affected ga Aggron anymore.
Compared to Special Defense, Physical Defense was Aggron's true strongest point.
However, if extended into formal prolonged battle, with Ho-Oh fighting ga Aggron, the ultimate victor could only be Ho-Oh.
From the mont Sacred Fire touched ga Aggron, the flas never extinguished. No matter how strong Aggron's Special Defense, it couldn't resist those flas continuously burning across its body.
In the gas, burn status inflicted percentage-based damage.
Before long, ga Aggron was defeated.
This result fell within John's expectations. Overall, John was quite satisfied with the process, so Aggron's Divine Treasure forging could be considered essentially perfect.
"Rest well. There's still another fierce battle coming up," John reassured the Aggron inside its Pokeball.
The Pokeball trembled slightly, Aggron's acknowledgnt.
John navigated his Gaboy interface to the Pokemon Center, healing Aggron and treating all his Pokemon simultaneously.
The next battle plan in his mind: Capturing wtwo.
Regarding capturing wtwo, John had been preparing since returning from the Hisui region.
But at that ti, he'd had his concerns, so he'd continuously postponed it.
Now, the timing was finally right.
Holding his Gaboy, John first needed to consider one crucial question.
Which wtwo did he want to capture?
One location was the Unova region. When he'd claid the Unova Championship, darkness had descended, Shadow wtwo made its powerful entrance onto the battlefield, directly triggering a top-tier dungeon instance.
The other location required traveling to the Orange Archipelago waterways, to a place called "New Island," entering what amounted to the story scenario dungeon: "wtwo Strikes Back."
Could there possibly exist two versions of such a unique being as wtwo?
John couldn't help wondering, if he captured the ordinary wtwo, would Shadow wtwo potentially disappear as a result?
This wasn't baseless speculation. The Sky Pillar's Rayquaza had vanished after being captured and never reappeared, even when John visited other locations where Rayquaza could theoretically spawn.
Therefore, John planned for the worst-case scenario first: make a choice, and if capturing one wtwo didn't cause the second to disappear, then capture the second one as well.
Between Shadow wtwo and ordinary wtwo, John chose the forr.
Shadow wtwo represented amplified power, darker energy, enhanced aggression, everything John valued in combat-focused Pokemon.
However, John knew he could only make Shadow wtwo fight once.
Therefore, regardless of his chances of victory, John felt he should test the Unova region first.
All his Pokemon's healing completed. The necessary dicines were packed and ready.
John manipulated his in-ga character, having Lugia use Fly.
Thinking back years ago, traveling to the Unova region had required an entire day. Now, using Lugia's Fly, it took re minutes.
Arriving at the Unova region, John wasted no words and headed directly to the Unova League Battle Arena.
The massive plaza stood empty, devoid of people. Only a single black cloud floated silently in the sky. As John approached, the dark cloud slowly descended, manifesting before him as a transport gateway.
[Enter special dungeon instance "Shadow Descends"? (Disappears after completion)]
[Recomnded Entry Level: 100]
John selected "Yes" without hesitation. His form imdiately vanished from Forward University's Test Island Seven.
The world reford around him in fragnts of shattered reality.
