Twin spirals of rainbow light engulfed both Pokemon, their forms shimring and distorting within the radiant cocoons.
When the brilliance faded, both creatures had transford completely.
ga Sableye's ruby gemstone had expanded massively, now serving as an enormous shield that could protect its entire body. Its sapphire eyes had shifted to crimson, giving it an even more sinister and vicious appearance. The ancient belief that Sableye's gaze could steal souls suddenly seed far more credible.
ga Gengar's transformation was subtler but no less dramatic. Its body had beco more ethereal, more energy than matter. Its arms tapered to points without distinct fingers, yet the malevolent aura radiating from it intensified tenfold.
"Shadow Claw!" John's command cut through the tension.
"Screech!" Lance countered imdiately, demonstrating his battle experience by seizing the initiative with a debilitating move.
ga Sableye thrust its head out from behind the ruby shield and unleashed a horrific wail.
However, before the towering specter of Gengar's true power, ga Sableye's Screech dealt zero damage. If anything, the verbal assault only served to infuriate ga Gengar further.
John actually understood what ga Sableye had shrieked, crude insults he wouldn't dare repeat aloud. Vulgar taunts that would've made a sailor blush.
'How dare this upstart?'
The thought flashed through Gengar's consciousness, and its massive shadow form reacted instantly. It raised one clawed hand and struck without rcy toward ga Sableye, moving with frightening speed, like a viper lunging for the throat.
"Mirror Coat!" Lance had anticipated this perfectly.
After ga Evolution, ga Sableye's Defense and Special Defense skyrocketed while its Speed plumted. Constrained by these racial stats, ga Sableye excelled at defensive counterattacks, similar to John's Wobbuffet in so ways, but with superior offensive capabilities, stronger defensive abilities, and only slightly weaker counter-damage output.
Lance had used this exact technique against Damian's Gengar's Shadow Claw before.
The result? Damian's Gengar had its attack completely absorbed, drained dry!
Shadow Claw was composed purely of Ghost-type energy. Though it manifested as slashing claws, it remained fundantally an energy-based attack, naturally dealing energy damage.
When ga Gengar's Shadow Claw struck ga Sableye's activated Mirror Coat, sothing impossible happened, not only was the attack reflected, but the entire manifestation was absorbed into the ruby shield.
Like a whirlpool opening in reality itself, the gemstone began devouring the spectral energy!
Witnessing this, Lance couldn't suppress a smirk. He expected John to panic now, just as Damian had before. He glanced up toward John's platform, ready to savor the mont of doubt—
But John's expression hadn't changed even slightly.
More telling, John didn't order Gengar to dismiss the Shadow Claw. He didn't call for a defensive maneuver or a follow-up attack. He simply stood there, completely still.
As if waiting for sothing.
Lance's internal laughter began to falter.
His confident grin lasted approximately ten seconds before it died completely.
John's ga Gengar suddenly transford the entire mass of Ghost-type energy into an elongated dragon-like form, stretching through the air like a living serpent before crashing down toward ga Sableye with devastating force.
Water itself has no inherent destructive power, but transform it into a pressure washer or water cannon, and the impact force becos sothing no one can ignore.

Following the shockwave's devastating impact, the ground behind ga Sableye erupted with irregular fractures that spread rapidly in all directions. Within seconds, ga Sableye had been driven so deep into the earth that only its massive ruby shield remained visible.
Like a gemstone embedded in the arena floor.
John stood with arms crossed, his expression utterly dominating.
"Sableye, use Shadow Sneak!" Lance shouted frantically.
John watched silently, not bothering to issue a counter-command. He knew it was pointless.
When ga Sableye summoned several shadowy arms to lever the ruby shield upward from the crater, a split second later the Ghost-type energy stream suddenly intensified. The energy column swelled to twice its previous size.

THUD-THUD-THUD-THUD-THUD!
Every spectator felt as though thunder had detonated inside the stadium!
The terrifying Ghost-type energy instantly hamred the barely-raised gemstone back down. The shadow arms disintegrated like tissue paper, and behind the ruby shield, ga Sableye was driven even deeper into the mud and broken stone.
Everyone watching could see the fundantal truth of this exchange.
Overwhelming force conquers all technique.
No fancy tricks. No clever strategy. Just absolute power and rciless domination grinding down all resistance.
The crowd sat in stunned silence as debris settled and dust cleared, revealing the scope of devastation John's Gengar had inflicted in re monts.
Lance's expression had transford from cocky confidence to sothing approaching concern. His signature Dark-type cruelty suddenly seed far less impressive when facing soone who could simply overpower everything he threw at them.
In the VIP observation area, the other Masters leaned forward with renewed interest.
"That's not the sa Gengar that fought before," Chadri murmured.
"Obviously," Magnus replied, his voice tight. "Look at the energy control. That level of manipulation..."
The female Master, the known John enthusiast, was practically vibrating with excitent. "I told you! I told all of you! My Johny is on another level entirely!"
Down in the arena, John remained motionless, his gaze fixed on the crater where ga Sableye struggled to recover. His eyes held that sa pitying expression from before, the look of soone watching an inevitable conclusion unfold.
Gengar floated beside its trainer, arms still crossed, radiating smug satisfaction as it waited for Lance's next move.
