(A/N: Bonus Chapter Enjoy!)
A few minutes later, after being healed at the Pokemon Center, Entei appeared before John and Magnus.
Now it was far more respectful than during their first encounter.
Entei stood upright on the ground, posture straight, gazing at John without blinking.
"I have so questions for you," John said.
Thinking for a mont, John pulled out the Rainbow Feather from his pocket. "Do you know what this is?"
Entei’s eyes widened slightly in recognition. Of course it knew, this was the sacred feather left by Ho-Oh, proof of the Rainbow Hero’s selection.
The previously chosen trainers hadn’t been able to last more than a single exchange against Entei’s full power.
But... could there really be such a massive gap between this Rainbow Hero and previous candidates?
Entei couldn’t shake the feeling that even its master Ho-Oh would get beaten senseless by John. During its treatnt just now, it had chatted briefly with Marshadow, a fellow colleague, and learned that even Giratina now worked under John’s command.
"How do I use this to et Ho-Oh..."
"It will naturally guide you to et Lord Ho-Oh," Entei replied. But seeing that John wasn’t particularly satisfied with this answer, it hurriedly added, "However, if you wish to et Lord Ho-Oh more quickly, there is another thod."
"What thod?"
"If we three guardian beasts channel our combined power into the feather, we can forcibly activate the dormant power of Lord Ho-Oh contained within it."
John turned to look at Magnus.
Magnus quickly glanced at his Raikou.
"I have already acknowledged your status as the Rainbow Hero and am willing to lend you my strength!" Raikou hastily declared its position. It didn’t want to end up captured like Entei, only becoming obedient after being defeated.
"Of course, now that the Rainbow Hero has appeared, Suicune will automatically seek you out very soon," Entei added.
Raikou nodded continuously in agreent.
Ring ring...
John’s phone suddenly rang at that mont.
It was Erald calling.
"What’s up?" John answered.
"The World Tournant organizers are looking for you. They need you at the Sky Island main facility for photo shoots and etings with the event coordinators."
"Alright, I’m on my way."
Before Magnus could respond, both John and all his Pokemon were suddenly teleported away by Gardevoir, returning to John’s Sky Island residence.
Looking at the now-empty space, Magnus could only exchange bewildered glances with his Raikou.
Sky Island, Main Conference Hall
John adjusted his collar, examining himself in the full-length mirror.
A sleek black suit.
John’s facial features were naturally handso, and his broad shoulders paired perfectly with the tailored black suit. To make fighting easier while wearing formal attire, Erald had even commissioned a custom ga Evolution brooch.
The Key Stone was embedded directly into the brooch.
The overall aesthetic was similar to the formal wear worn by Masters Eight participants in official tournants.
It couldn’t be helped? who told John to be the Draconia’s youngest Champion, youngest Masters Eight seat holder, youngest Master Breeder, discoverer of ga Evolution for Greninja, the trainer who’d captured the most legendary Pokemon, the trainer who’d captured the most shiny Pokemon, and holder of countless other titles that ordinary people couldn’t achieve in their entire lifetis? After leaving such legendary marks across the world, there was no way he wouldn’t appear on cara.
Today’s footage of John would be tomorrow’s news headlines!
John didn’t particularly enjoy this kind of attention, but Erald had already prepared him ntally before arriving. Because aside from eting with the World Tournant’s main organizers, they also had another task, taking promotional photos.
A top-tier world event like the Masters Tournant couldn’t possibly lack extensive pre-event publicity. So all eight top-tier trainers had to cooperate with promotional activities.
However, the World Tournant organizers didn’t intend to monopolize too much of the Masters’ ti. Taking so promotional photos was the absolute limit. For other footage requirents, they would simply use existing clips from past battles between the eight Masters.
"Yo," John greeted casually as he entered the conference room.
"Hey," Magnus responded with equal brevity.
"Looks like you two have already t," said a bald man who stood at the head of the conference table. He was the person in charge of this Masters Tournant and also the World Tournant League’s vice president, Derek.
Both John and Magnus turned their attention to Derek, waiting to hear what he wanted.
"The Masters Tournant is about to begin. Following previous years’ traditions, we’ll have a simple opening ceremony."
"The ceremony will include a warm-up exhibition match."
"I’ve asked you both here because I’d like to trouble you two to—"
But before Derek could finish speaking, Magnus’s voice rang out, fast, yet strangely firm and resolute, as he uttered a single, eternal word.
"NONONONONO."
