"Worthy of Teacher Johan and Miss Cynthia—I didn’t expect you to resolve it in just one day."
Geeta received the video and called them, her words full of admiration.
"So has Chairman Geeta thought about how to handle this Wo-chien?"
Johan still asked sowhat "reluctantly."
"Wo-chien? I heard that Teacher Johan, your ’Pokémon Recovery Island’ has been completed?" Geeta said.
The strength Wo-chien displayed could probably be suppressed by Geeta or the Paldea League’s Elite Four.
But suppression was one thing—proper handling was the key.
The strong negative energy Wo-chien carried would significantly affect nearby people and Pokémon, and the longer it persisted, the greater the impact.
Eliminating the negative energy from Wo-chien wasn’t sothing easily accomplished.
Otherwise, that king wouldn’t have chosen to seal the four "Treasures of Ruin" in the first place.
At least, the current Paldea League had no ans to deal with it.
And right here was an expert in "Pokémon Psychology" who had handled countless legendary Pokémon incidents, including many affected by negative emotions.
So why hesitate?
Find Teacher Johan—that’s right!
Moreover, although the "Treasures of Ruin" Wo-chien was a legendary Pokémon, it wasn’t like Eternatus, which concerned an entire region. This type of legendary wasn’t that important to a region.
Hearing this, Johan knew he "couldn’t escape."
"The problems with Wo-chien aren’t easy to handle..."
Johan wasn’t confident either.
How many years had it been? Who knew how long the negative energy on the "Treasures of Ruin" had accumulated? He hadn’t tried yet and didn’t know if it could be removed.
If not possible... he’d probably have to ask Giratina to place it in so corner of the "Distortion World."
"I understand, I understand, Teacher Johan," Chairman Geeta smiled. "Wo-chien’s food expenses and such—our Paldea League will cover them, and we’ll also bear the treatnt costs."
dical treatnt and paynt, basically.
After pausing, Geeta spoke again: "However, Teacher Johan, according to what you said, there are four ’Treasures of Ruin’ total, and Wo-chien is just one of them?"
"Uh... theoretically, yes."
"Then, with Wo-chien’s seal loosened, might the other three... or rather, after Wo-chien’s seal was broken, might the other three also possibly escape their seals?" Geeta asked with so concern.
Great.
Indeed, "provoking" one ant getting entangled with all of them.
"I’m not certain about the specific situation, but it’s possible. I can give you so general directions and locations. Chairman Geeta, you could have people investigate first," Johan said.
"General directions? Good."
Geeta also felt they should confirm the situation first.
"Oh, right. I sent ’transportation’ to you, Teacher Johan. In certain situations... it should be useful and help you better search for ’Herba Mystica.’"
"Transportation?" Johan was stunned.
A helicopter?
Compared to helicopters, Johan actually preferred Flying Taxis—the leisurely swaying allowed him to see quite nice scenery.
Just as he finished speaking, a blue-feathered Squawkabilly flew over, carrying a small bag and flapping its wings.
Hmm?
"Should have arrived," Geeta smiled. "I hope you can properly enjoy our Paldea region’s scenery and culture."
The call ended, and the Squawkabilly also flew to Johan’s front.
"Squawk!"
Delivery!
"Ka-kaah?"
Delivery?
Gengar’s eyes lit up as it floated to Johan’s front, approaching the Squawkabilly.
The Squawkabilly was startled by Gengar but still took out four Poké Balls from its package and handed them to Gengar.
Without waiting for Johan to offer Energy Cubes as thanks, the Squawkabilly flapped its wings and flew away as if escaping.
"Ka-kaah?"
Poké Balls?
Looking at the Poké Balls bearing Paldea League insignia, Gengar scratched its head.
What kind of delivery was this?
Delivering Pokémon?
Johan, however, showed understanding upon seeing these Poké Balls.
"What’s wrong?" Cynthia and Caitlin approached and asked.
"Oh, nothing. Chairman Geeta sent us ’transportation.’"
"Transportation? Poké Balls?" Caitlin showed the sa confused expression as Gengar.
Johan took a Poké Ball and threw it with a smile.
Red light flashed.
A lizard-like Pokémon appeared, standing on two feet with dark green skin and tire-like structures on its neck, abdon, and tail.
"Ka-kaah?" Gengar tilted its head.
What Pokémon is this?
"Cyclizar, Dragon and Normal-type Mount Pokémon. It’s a gentle Pokémon that enjoys being with humans. It’s said that ten thousand years ago, it already lived harmoniously with humans, Rotom!" Rotom introduced according to the Pokédex.
"Cyclizar, riding mode," Johan said.
"Gao~"
Hearing this, Cyclizar imdiately crouched down, its neck and chest forming the "motorcycle’s" front wheel, while its tail curved into the "motorcycle’s" rear wheel.
Soon, a Pokémon version "motorcycle" appeared before Johan and the others.
"Ka-kaah?!"
Gengar’s eyes lit up, imdiately becoming excited as it circled around Cyclizar.
It really beca a motorcycle?
Amazing! Amazing!
"Cyclizar is a very characteristic Pokémon of the Paldea region. They love being ridden, reportedly because human body temperature warms their backs, helping them resist cold and regain vitality."
Johan explained.
"I—I read the Paldea region Pokémon guide! I recognize it!" Caitlin called out stubbornly.
Cynthia patted her head.
The "fierce" humanoid Psychic-type Pokémon imdiately beca a "docile" golden-haired loser.
"I’d heard of them before, but this is indeed my first ti seeing one..." Cynthia smiled.
"Cyclizar established friendly relationships with Paldea region humans long ago. They can adapt to various complex terrains—as long as it’s not extrely cold places, they can go almost anywhere."
"Ka-kaah! Ka-kaah!"
Gengar threw out the remaining three Poké Balls, and three more Cyclizar appeared.
Though there were only three people, four Cyclizar were sent.
No wonder Chairman Geeta was shrewd—she’d obviously included playful Gengar in the count.
Sure enough, Gengar’s favorability toward Chairman Geeta increased greatly!
Gengar imdiately mounted one Cyclizar, professionally putting on windproof goggles and calling for the three to get on, completely forgetting about the beloved mount hidden in its shadow.
Though Cyclizar had good relationships with humans, these were clearly professionally trained ones, appearing more docile, honest, and well-behaved.
Reportedly, Elite Four Hassel’s Dragon Tar family originally rose by taming Cyclizar.
"Ka-kaah!"
Get on!
Gengar grabbed the Cyclizar’s handlebars, looking like a biker youth... no, a biker old ghost.
But Gengar couldn’t help clicking its tongue.
"Ka-kaah..."
Too bad—it would be even better if it could fly and glide.
Fly?
In ancient and future tis... Cyclizar might really be able to fly, Johan thought.
Cyclizar was a relatively common Dragon-type Pokémon in the Paldea region, and the cover Pokémon of "Pokémon Scarlet/Violet"—purple Miraidon and red Koraidon—had great similarities to Cyclizar.
Many speculated that Koraidon might be an ancient form of Cyclizar, while Miraidon might be a future form.
After packing up, the three mounted their Cyclizar.
Honestly, Cynthia and Cyclizar suited each other well—at least she looked cool riding one.
So, three people plus one Pokémon, riding four Cyclizar, began traveling through the Paldea region.
"Ka-kaah—"
No wonder so many people like riding motorcycles—this feeling is amazing!
Johan: I didn’t expect Cyclizar could ride this fast!
At sunset, Johan and the others arrived at South Province Area Three, a barren rocky area.
Though the South Province was generally flat overall, there were still areas with complex terrain. This rocky region in South Province Area Three was one of them.
"Should be around here, Rotom!"
The Rotom Pokédex showed navigation.
"In such a barren place without even grass, there’s the ’Herba Mystica’ you’re looking for?" Caitlin looked around and asked.
"Barren doesn’t an ’Herba Mystica’ won’t grow."
Looking at this terrain, it should be the territory of the Titan Pokémon Klawf...
"Let’s find a place to camp first," Cynthia said.
It was getting late.
Finding things in dim light would double the difficulty.
"Good."
Johan naturally wouldn’t object.
Night fell.
"Ka-kaah~"
Gengar carefully and quietly floated out of the tent.
"Bangi?"
As soon as it erged, Tyranitar, resting on a rock "soft bed" outside, imdiately opened its eyes and sat up.
Gengar quickly floated over and covered Tyranitar’s mouth.
"Ka-kaah!"
Keep it down, don’t wake Johan!
"Bangi, bangi~"
Tyranitar scratched its head, showing a silly smile.
This rocky terrain was its "territory"!
So Gengar had arranged with it to go "exploring" after dark, seeing if they could find valuable ores or gems.
"Sni?"
At this ti, Snivy also erged from the tent, rubbing its eyes.
Gengar and Tyranitar stared at the suddenly awakened Snivy.
"Sni~"
Snivy disdainfully curled its lip, extended a vine, wrapped it around Tyranitar’s body, then quickly contracted it, reaching Tyranitar’s back in one motion.
What are you looking at? Let’s go!
As long as it wasn’t going to "tattle" to Johan, Gengar and Tyranitar relaxed.
Two Pokémon or three Pokémon... not much difference.
Gengar took out a prepared small shovel, put on a mining helt, and waved.
"Ka-kaah!"
Let’s go!
Thus, the three little ones ford a "temporary rocky terrain exploration team" and entered the jagged rocky area.
There were quite a few wild Pokémon in the rocky area.
However, compared to forests and grasslands, few wild Pokémon left their nests to wander or search for food in rocky areas at night.
After all, Rock-type Pokémon like Onix and Geodude mostly preferred warmth and sunbathing, following a schedule of working at sunrise and resting at sunset.
This saved Gengar’s group considerable trouble.
"Bangi..."
Tyranitar lowered its head, holding two diamonds and munching them like apples while searching for mineral-rich ores.
But most Rock-type Pokémon in rocky areas fed on such ores, so finding them wasn’t easy.
"Ka-kaah~"
Gengar rubbed its chin, feeling it had made an error.
Should have called Tinkaton too.
At least... Tinkaton’s hamr could sense ores rich in tallic elents, not just focusing on gems and diamonds.
"Sni?"
Snivy noticed movent and tugged Tyranitar’s ear.
As the most recently joined Pokémon, Snivy rarely went "fooling around" with Gengar at night, and being in the unfamiliar rocky area naturally brought so curiosity.
Its vine pointed toward a rocky area, saying there was movent.
So Gengar and Tyranitar tiptoed over.
Then they saw...
"Bangi?"
Tyranitar casually picked up a house-sized... Nacli.
The movent Snivy ntioned was actually a large group of Nacli’s habitat.
They were currently curled up around a Naclstack, resting in clusters.
The Nacli picked up by Tyranitar seed completely unaware it had encountered "danger," blinking sleepy eyes while looking at Tyranitar with confusion and bewildernt.
"Salt?"
Nacli blinked twice.
"Ka-kaah~ Ka-kaah~"
Gengar waved, signaling Tyranitar to put it back.
This wasn’t their target.
"Bangi?"
Tyranitar scratched its head.
Should we... bring ’Salt Lord’ a companion?
Gengar’s eyes imdiately widened.
"Ka-kaah?!"
We’re all old bachelors—bring Salt Lord a companion for us to watch?
Besides, these are all babies. Do you have the heart?
Tyranitar: "..."
True.
Thinking about it, Tyranitar looked at the bewildered Nacli in its hands, stuck out its tongue to lick the delicious salt deposits, smacked its lips, and put it back in place.
Honestly, whether it was "Salt Lord’s" salt deposits or these Nacli’s salt deposits, they all tasted quite good, especially for Rock-type Pokémon like Tyranitar.
The returned Nacli just felt... it had been sleeping soundly when suddenly soone licked it, leaving it all wet...
Nacli: I’m not clean anymore!
Continuing deeper, they encountered and saw many wild Rock-type Pokémon. Besides Nacli and Naclstack, there were common Geodude and Graveler, plus rarer Nosepass and Dwebble.
Gengar even saw a Shuckle, but after shaking it, there was no "fresh juice" in its shell, which was sowhat disappointing.
But when they reached a cave-like area, Gengar’s group suddenly discovered... there was light inside the cave!
Light purple, feeling like...
"Ka-kaah!"
Athyst!
The three little ones excitedly ran into the cave.
They saw strange Pokémon that looked part flower, part firefly, and part tadpole, emitting a peculiar light purple glow.
So floated in mid-air like they were wandering, so clung to rock walls absorbing nutrients, while others stared with pale yellow eyes, blankly watching Gengar’s group who had suddenly entered the cave.
"Sni?"
What Pokémon are these?
"Ka-kaah?"
You ask , who do I ask?
Gengar shrugged, suddenly feeling that besides Tinkaton, it should have brought Rotom too—at least when encountering unknown Pokémon, there’d be so hints.
If Johan were here, he could tell Gengar’s group that these floating Pokémon in the cave were called Glimt—Rock and Poison-type Crystal Pokémon.
They liked living in groups and could absorb nutrients from rocks. Their petal-like structures were actually crystalized toxins that would scatter poisonous powder like pollen for self-defense.
Encountering Glimt in the wild was quite dangerous.
Not because they were highly aggressive or had bad temperants, but because they constantly released toxins. The light purple, glowing, dust-like particles falling from them were actually their scattered poison powder.
And if they felt threatened or beca hostile, their toxin output would beco even more fierce.
As everyone knew, Poison-type Pokémon in the wild were absolutely as dangerous as fierce, powerful Pokémon—especially group-dwelling Poison-type wild Pokémon like Glimt.
Sure enough, Gengar’s group’s appearance imdiately made the Glimt feel threatened.
Purple crystal-like flowers opened, and crystalline purple toxic mist surged toward Gengar’s group.
If it were other Pokémon, facing this toxic mist, they’d at least dodge first. But Gengar...
"Ka-kaah!"
Gengar was delighted, opening its mouth and taking a deep breath. The approaching toxic mist was imdiately sucked in by Gengar like a vacuum, its body swelling up.
Seeing this scene, the Glimt looked bewildered, blinking their golden eyes.
"Burp~"
Gengar burped, its swollen body quickly returning to normal, then waved at the Glimt.
Thanks for the treat!
Then it prepared to retreat.
These Glimt looked nice, but they weren’t their "target."
However, the Glimt didn’t think so.
The dense Glimt separated to both sides.
Several Pokémon obviously larger than Glimt, with clear differences, floated out.
They were bigger than Glimt, especially their blue-purple Poison-type crystal petals, which were obviously larger, like flowers in full bloom.
If Johan had fought Paldea League Chairman and Champion Geeta first, Gengar’s group would recognize these larger Pokémon that floated out.
Glimmora!
Glimt’s evolved form, also Poison and Rock-type Crystal Pokémon, but with stronger poison abilities.
Among Geeta’s ace Pokémon, Glimmora was very important.
Buzz—buzz—buzz—
The Glimmora floated in mid-air, their huge blue-purple crystal flowers opening and closing, scattering beautiful crystalline dust.
They didn’t directly attack Gengar’s group.
"Ka-kaah?" Gengar wiggled its butt.
What do they want to say?
"Bangi..."
Tyranitar also looked bewildered.
Seems like we can’t communicate.
"Sni!"
Snivy rolled its eyes at the two guys and jumped down from Tyranitar’s back.
"Sni?"
"Buzz..." The Glimmora’s golden eyes flickered, seemingly narrating sothing.
"Sni~ Sni~"
Snivy actually successfully communicated with them.
Under Gengar and Tyranitar’s bewildered gazes, Snivy didn’t bother explaining, waving for them to follow.
Then, led by the Glimmora and watched by nurous Glimt, the three little ones headed deeper into the cave.
Gengar smacked its lips.
First ti experiencing how Tyranitar felt when seeing ores everywhere.
But considering they hadn’t shown obvious hostility, it wouldn’t be right to attack directly.
Soon, led by the Glimmora, they reached the cave’s depths.
Zap—
But before reaching the deepest part, suddenly a golden lightning bolt flashed, shooting from the dark depths at extre speed.
Fortunately, Gengar’s group reacted quickly enough, dodging in ti to avoid being struck.
Bang!!
But the golden arc still hit the rock wall, creating a sizeable crater with accompanying burnt black smoke.
What was that?
"Ka-kaah?"
Lured in for killing?
Then we can fight!
Gengar licked its lips, drool shafully sliding from its mouth corner.
"Sni!"
Snivy imdiately stopped it irritably, explaining it wasn’t the Glimmora but the creature in the cave’s depths.
The creature in the cave’s depths?
Only then did Snivy finally share the information it got from the Glimmora.
Originally, so ti ago, a stranger like Gengar’s group had intruded into their cave, seemingly searching for sothing, insisting on going to the cave’s depths.
So, the Glimmora clan fought it.
The result... the Glimmora didn’t win, and the opponent still entered the cave’s depths.
But they didn’t lose either, because the opponent was poisoned by the Glimmora.
Though it didn’t fall, it remained trapped in the cave’s depths, unable to leave, attacking any approaching Pokémon.
So, when Gengar’s group arrived, the Glimmora wondered if they were allies of that creature.
Or rather, if Gengar’s group could help remove that creature from the cave’s depths, the Glimmora clan would provide rewards.
"Ka-kaah?"
Rewards?
Looking at the Glimmora’s crystalline blue-purple petals, Gengar perked up again.
"Ka-kaah!"
Gengar imdiately patted its chest, saying: Leave it to us!
We’re not outlaws—we’re the "Gengar Rescue Team" and love helping other Pokémon!
But first, Gengar needed to see what Pokémon that creature was.
It carefully peeked over.
Zap—
Another golden arc flashed toward them.
"Kraa—"
