Groudon: 'I’ve entered my Primal Reversion state. How do you intend to respond?'

The power of Primal Groudon was indeed a whole level above its previous form. Fortunately, Kyogre still had Julian—the ultimate buff-giver—by its side, and with the advantage of the ocean, it could barely keep up with Groudon’s primal form.

"Kyogre, how long can Groudon maintain its Primal Reversion state?" Julian asked.

The Unown's Protection buff he granted only lasted twenty minutes, and seven minutes had already passed. If they couldn’t defeat Groudon before the remaining ti ran out, then once the ability’s passive effect disappeared, Kyogre’s buff would vanish as well. At that point, it would definitely stand no chance against Primal Groudon.

"That depends on its stamina. As long as its stamina holds, it can maintain that form indefinitely."

Kyogre’s words sent a chill down Julian’s spine.

"I can keep your buff up for thirteen more minutes. Is there any way to force Groudon out of its Primal Reversion state?"

Given Groudon's current stamina, it could probably maintain that state for at least two or three hours, even while battling Kyogre. So, waiting for it to tire itself out was clearly not an option.

"If its abdon takes a heavy hit, the Red Orb inside it can be forced out. Once that happens, it’ll revert to its normal form."

Kyogre’s voice echoed in Julian’s mind. At the sa ti, learning that the buff was ti-limited made it grow a little anxious.

After all, if the buff effect disappeared, it would most likely lose to Groudon and be mocked by it for centuries.

"Big-head, don’t think that having the terrain advantage will let you stand against . Neither you nor this human will escape today!"

Primal Groudon roared, and in the next instant, a wave of blistering heat erupted from its body. The surrounding temperature rose sharply, and even the sun in the sky seed to grow larger.

Ability: Desolate Land!

In its Primal form, Groudon’s ability had changed from Drought to Desolate Land. The weather beca Harsh Sunlight—a far stronger version of Sunny Day.

Under Harsh Sunlight, Fire-type moves were powered up by 1.5 tis, which was already terrifying, but the true danger was that Water-type moves could no longer be used at all.

If Kyogre wasn't the Sea God, even a Champion-level Water-type Pokémon would be unable to use any Water-type moves under this blazing sky.

Just from this one ability alone, it was clear why Groudon was classified as a First-class legendary.

Corresponding to Desolate Land were Kyogre’s Primordial Sea and Rayquaza’s Delta Stream—but those abilities only appeared in Primal Kyogre and ga Rayquaza.

Since Kyogre did not possess the Blue Orb, it couldn’t enter its Primal Reversion state, and thus its current ability was only Drizzle.

However, once Primal Groudon activated Desolate Land, Kyogre’s Drizzle was instantly suppressed.

"This is troubleso."

Looking at Groudon, who had activated Desolate Land, Kyogre’s tone grew grim. It could already sense that the Water-type energy within it was partially suppressed. Although it could still use Water-type moves, their power would be reduced.

"Yeah… this is trouble."

Sweat continuously dripped down Julian's face. Even though tagross was shielding him from the heat, the Desolate Land ability was simply unreasonable.

Despite blocking most of the temperature, the environnt around him still reached 50-60 degrees Celsius. Fortunately, he had the "ga Pallet Town physique," or he would have long since died from the heat.

"Kyogre, you want to defeat Groudon, right?"

"Obviously."

"Good. Then from now on, you must follow my commands completely."

Julian stared intently at Primal Groudon. Such a powerful creature indeed placed imnse pressure on him, but under that pressure, his excitent soared to its peak.

Kyogre fell silent for a mont.

"Alright."

The sheer confidence radiating from Julian left it unable to refuse.

Looking at Primal Groudon and feeling the powerful confidence emanating from Julian above it, Kyogre's previously wavering resolve instantly solidified.

At this mont, their gazes aligned perfectly—both united in intent.

"Kyogre, go! Surf!" Julian shouted.

The sea roared, towering waves rose as Kyogre glided across their crests. The enormous surge of water rushed toward Primal Groudon.

Even under the suppression of Desolate Land, Kyogre’s Surf remained insanely powerful—like the ocean itself collapsing upon the world.

Yet this devastating wave was shattered effortlessly by a single Flathrower from Primal Groudon. The flas stretched for hundreds of kiloters, vaporizing vast amounts of seawater.

As the Surf was torn apart, Kyogre, riding atop the wave did not fall—naturally it could fly.

Watching Kyogre circling above, Primal Groudon was seething with anger. This big-headed fish was as good as dead today. He was going to steam it alive, and not even the giant green caterpie could save it this ti.

"Get down here!!"

With a furious roar from Primal Groudon, countless massive boulders appeared in the sky—each five to six hundred ters tall, practically small mountains falling from above.

Rock Slide!

"Kyogre, Iron Head—dive down!"

The sky was completely filled with descending rocks, leaving no path to evade; the only escape was downward.

Kyogre plunged downward, the rain of boulders crashing close behind.

BOOM!!

Iron Head shattered a massive section of the landmass Primal Groudon had created, blasting a huge crater through it. The falling rocks struck the ground above, shaking the newly made land.

Seawater surged violently through the hole, flooding upward—but within seconds, the breach was sealed again as the land reford.

Primal Groudon stared at the land beneath its feet. It could sense Kyogre and that human hiding in the waters below.

"Kyogre, Whirlpool—drag it down!" Julian ordered coldly.

The ocean was Kyogre's domain and the only advantage Julian could leverage at the mont. He had to make the most of it to turn the tide.

Kyogre unleashed Whirlpool, and the surrounding waters began to spin violently. Within monts, an enormous vortex spanning seven to eight kiloters ford, its imnse suction tearing apart the land above and pulling it downward into the depths.

Primal Groudon imdiately understood their plan. Pouring its power into the land, it tried to stabilize and repair the collapsing landmass.

But the next instant, a golden beam of light burst upward from beneath the sea, piercing straight through the land beneath its feet—

Hyper Beam!

Splash!

Primal Groudon’s massive body crashed into the ocean below. Yet the searing heat radiating from it instantly vaporized the surrounding seawater. The resulting burst of steam created a barrier that kept new waves from reaching it.

At the sea floor a massive slab of bedrock rose from below, and Primal Groudon stood firmly upon it.
