The ability granted to him by the Unown allowed him to trigger fragnts of a person's past mories upon touching them, though it was a random and uncontrollable occurrence.

Perhaps in the future, as the number of Unown within him increased, this ability would grow stronger and beco sothing he could control at will.

In the past, Julian had never touched a corpse—after all, why would he go out of his way to touch a dead body? It was considered bad luck.

But today, upon touching Max's body, he unexpectedly triggered this ability and saw Max mailing out the docunts while deliberately preparing five sets of fake materials.

Without this ability, even if Julian knew the docunts had been mailed, he would have had no way of determining which of the six packages contained the real ones.

Now, thanks to this power, he knew exactly which package held the genuine data.

"tagross, to Oakwood City," Julian said.

tagross had a precise map of Drakoria in its mind. As long as Julian provided a location, it could teleport him there directly.

It had been nearly five hours since Max mailed the packages. Given a Pidgeot's speed, the delivery should have already arrived, and the package might even be in the recipient's hands by now.

If that was the case, Julian would undoubtedly have to start tracking down the recipient.

After tagross used Teleport twice in quick succession, Julian and tagross appeared in the sky above Oakwood City.

Below them was the courier station, and coincidentally, a Pidgeot was flying straight toward them.

Julian: "No way my luck is this good, right?"

The Pidgeot was even dressed in the courier station's specialized uniform.

"tagross."

"ta~"

tagross nodded and imdiately used its psychic powers to pull the Pidgeot over.

The poor bird hadn’t even realized what was happening before it found its body forcibly dragged over. It was pulled in front of a human, who was clearly targeting its package.

As an outstanding courier who had won the "Employee of the Year" award three years in a row, the Pidgeot naturally didn't want its package to be stolen.

But now, it couldn't even struggle. It could only watch in despair as this wretched human tore open its package.

Pidgeot: 'It's over… My Employee of the Year award is gone. This month's bonus is gone too. My hard-earned money… I wonder if this human will kill after stealing my package. I haven't even spent all my savings yet, and I haven't finished watching Detective Conan. Damn human!!'

Julian, who was in the middle of opening the package, glanced up at the Pidgeot. He hadn’t expected its inner monologue to be this dramatic—what a waste of talent, just being a courier.

"Relax, I won’t kill you."

Julian had already torn open the package. Inside was indeed a set of docunts, though he couldn’t understand the contents. He took photos and sent them to the relevant personnel.

Soon, a response ca: The docunts were genuine.

It seed this was indeed the real deal.

---

"Ding!"

"Temporary mission completed. Rewards issued."

---

The system’s voice rang in his mind as well, confirming that the docunts were authentic.

Looking at the Invincibility Card now stored in his system space, Julian was quite satisfied.

He handed the docunts to tagross, letting its supercomputer brain create a backup. Then, he extracted a few of the most critical pages—without them, the docunts would be incoherent and useless.

Although the system considered his mission complete, Julian didn’t feel the sa way. The mastermind behind this incident still hadn’t been uncovered.

When opening the package, Julian had been very careful, so the packaging remained intact and undamaged. He slipped the now-incomplete docunts back into the package.

Then, he turned to the Pidgeot. "You don’t want to lose your Employee of the Year award or this month’s bonus, do you?"

Though unable to move, Pidgeot frantically signaled with its eyes that this was indeed the case.

Julian motioned for tagross to release it.

Once freed, Julian handed the package back to Pidgeot. "Here, take it. Now, just deliver it as usual."

Pidgeot: "But… there’s sothing missing inside."

It had seen Julian remove part of the contents with its own eyes.

"You’ve got principles, huh? But listen, the recipient is a bad guy. As long as you help catch them, not only will you win Employee of the Year, but this month’s bonus will even be doubled."

Pidgeot: "Really?"

"Mm."

Pidgeot: "Then I’m in."

This simple-minded bird didn’t even consider the possibility that Julian might be lying.

Soon, Pidgeot delivered the package to the courier station below.

This particular package didn’t list a residential address—it was addressed to the Oakwood City courier station, to be collected in person later.

This was a common practice. After all, if an address was listed and Pidgeot delivered to the door while no one was ho, it would be a wasted trip. And if the parcel was left at the doorstep, the recipient might co ho to find it stolen.

One complaint later, and poor Pidgeot’s entire monthly bonus could be gone.

So from its perspective, leaving the package at the courier station was the safest and most reliable way to protect its bonus.

"Gengar, it’s your turn now."

"Gen~"

Gengar vanished into invisibility, slipping into the courier station alongside Pidgeot.

With Gengar’s absolute invisibility, the mont soone ca to collect that package, it would be able to shadow them undetected.

After the courier station processed and stored the package, an SMS notification was sent to the recipient.

Not long after the package was logged in, a young girl, around eleven or twelve years old, walked in and picked it up.

The girl carried the package for a few hundred ters before handing it over to a young man, who gave her a few hundred bucks in return.

The young man checked the package to ensure it hadn’t been tampered with, then casually walked away as if nothing had happened.

Ten minutes later, the young man entered the restroom of an internet café and opened the package. He glanced at the docunts and noticed the special mark Max had left, confirming their authenticity.

As for whether any pages were missing—well, he was a spy, not a scholar. He didn’t understand the content anyway. As long as the docunts were genuine, that was all that mattered.

He opened a Poké Ball, and an Alakazam appeared.

"Alakazam, take the docunts to the next drop point."

But just as Alakazam prepared to teleport, it suddenly found the surrounding space impossibly solid, and the Teleport failed.

The young man sensed sothing was wrong and was about to react when a pale, round face appeared right in front of him.

"Gen~"

Hypnosis was used.

Thud!

The young man collapsed to the floor.

Imdiately, Julian and tagross appeared.

Julian reached out and touched him—no past mories were triggered.

He tried again.

Still nothing.

He tried a third ti—success.

This ti, the ability activated.

Julian: 'As expected, I can exploit this ability.'

From the fragnts of this man’s past that he saw, Julian already knew which country was pulling the strings behind the scenes.

"It turned out to be them."
