The shockwave from Force Palm tried to surge into Aggron’s body. If it were an ordinary Pokémon, it would have been knocked back without a doubt.
Unfortunately, it was up against Aggron, whose defense was nearly maxed out.
Seeing Aggron standing firm without budging an inch, Hariyama looked a little dumbfounded. This didn’t seem right—it glanced up at Aggron.
Hariyama: “Why aren’t you flying away?”
Aggron: “I’m… numb.”
Seeing the faint yellow sparks flickering across Aggron’s body, Julian’s face suddenly darkened.
“Paralyzed.”
Bruce was briefly stunned, then quickly overjoyed.
Force Palm indeed had a small chance of causing paralysis, but it was less than thirty percent.
Unexpectedly, he was lucky enough for it to happen on the first hit.
“Hariyama, Arm Thrust!”
Hariyama lunged forward like a bulldozer, swinging its massive palms repeatedly. Each shove made Aggron stumble back a step.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Aggron was pushed back a dozen steps.
In its paralyzed state, Aggron still had a 50% chance of being able to attack. However, it ended up taking over a dozen Arm Thrusts without managing to use a single move.
Julian’s face was now as dark as the bottom of a scorched pot.
“Its defense is insane.”
Bruce stared at Aggron in disbelief, even after taking more than ten consecutive Arm Thrusts, Aggron still hadn’t fallen.
It only retreated a few steps, and its body didn’t even seem visibly damaged.
Aggron’s armor was so absurdly tough that it was practically unheard of.
“Hariyama, Dynamic Punch!”
Since Arm Thrust wasn’t dealing enough damage, Bruce called for a stronger move.
Hariyama drew back its right hand, clenching it into a massive fist. With a swift motion, it punched forward, the friction with the air igniting sparks.
“Iron Tail!”
Julian made up his mind—if this was interrupted by paralysis again, he would recall Aggron imdiately.
“Roar!”
Aggron, furious from its paralyzed state, spun around. This ti, the paralysis didn’t kick in, its iron-coated tail slamd into Hariyama like a whip.
At the sa mont, Hariyama’s Dynamic Punch struck Aggron’s body.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Aggron was knocked back a few steps.
Compared to Aggron, Hariyama suffered far worse, its bulky body was sent flying like a ragdoll, slamming into the ground. A sharp pain shot through its chest, nearly making it lose consciousness.
“Hyper Beam!” Julian shouted.
Just as Aggron was about to unleash the move, yellow sparks once again flickered across its body, interrupting the attack.
Frustrated to no end, Aggron turned and shot its trainer a resentful glare.
Julian slightly turned his head.
Aggron: (ToT)
Hariyama was struck by Iron Tail, but it still had the strength to fight and its breathing beca noticeably heavier.
“Hariyama, Focus Blast.”
“Once more, Hyper Beam!”
Julian's stubborn voice reached Aggron's ears.
This ti, Julian’s persistence was rewarded—Hyper Beam was successfully unleashed.
Focus Blast and Hyper Beam collided mid-air. The stalemate lasted less than three seconds, Hyper Beam pierced through the Focus Blast and under Hariyama's desperate gaze, sent it to rest.
Watching Hariyama collapse, both Julian and Aggron let out a sigh of relief.
With Hariyama’s strength, it was difficult to break through Aggron’s defense. Because of that, Aggron was already in an unbeatable position.
However, due to its paralyzed state, its moves were easily interrupted. It was like suddenly having to stop mid-stream when you’re peeing—an incredibly uncomfortable feeling.
Recalling Aggron, Julian sent out his third Pokémon.

Conkeldurr slamd its two concrete pillars heavily onto the ground, creating two small craters.
It and Machamp were known as the “Construction Duo.”
On large construction sites, it was common to see these two Pokémon at work, along with their pre-evolved forms.
Due to their natural talents, concrete mixed by Conkeldurr was significantly stronger and more durable than that made by humans.
So real estate developers even advertised that their buildings used Conkeldurr-mixed concrete to boost their sales.
“Conkeldurr, Pound!”
Hearing the command, Conkeldurr lifted its two concrete pillars and charged straight at Lucario.
The heavy concrete pillars seed weightless in its hands, not affecting its speed in the slightest. In the blink of an eye, it was right in front of Lucario.
The concrete pillars swung continuously, moving so fast that they left afterimages. There were bursts of whistling sounds in the air.
However, Lucario easily dodged every strike.
“In that case, Mach Punch,” Bruce ordered.
Conkeldurr drove the concrete pillars into the ground, clenched its fists, and delivered a punch at Lucario’s face with near-sonic speed.
“Mach Punch!” Julian countered.
Lucario’s eyes narrowed sharply as it retaliated with a Mach Punch of its own.
Boom!
The two Mach Punches collided with each other, sending shockwaves rippling outward. The force cracked the ground beneath both Pokémon’s feet, leaving shallow craters.
Though they seed evenly matched for a mont, in the next second, Conkeldurr was sent flying by Lucario’s Mach Punch.
As Conkeldurr was flung backward, it swiftly grabbed the two concrete pillars behind it. Using them to brace against the ground, it finally managed to stop itself.
“Force Palm!”
Lucario swiftly closed the distance, thrusting its palm toward Conkeldurr’s chest. However, Conkeldurr blocked its chest with the concrete pillar.
The shockwave from Force Palm was absorbed by the concrete pillar, and Conkeldurr’s body was only pushed back about a ter.
“Conkeldurr, Hamr Arm!”
After blocking Force Palm, Conkeldurr raised its other concrete pillar high. As it swung down, the air exploded with a deafening roar.
Lucario nimbly dodged backward. The concrete pillar slamd into the ground with a thunderous crash, sending shards of stone flying and leaving a massive crater in the battlefield.
