All this ti, Julian had always given people the impression of being withdrawn, not fond of socializing. Unless it was soone like Luis, who was extrely outgoing, or Dalton, who was thick-skinned, he rarely engaged in conversations.
For most people, chatting with Julian ant struggling to find a topic.
Although his personality wasn’t exactly likable, no one disliked him either. On the contrary, people actually thought Julian was a nice guy.
Despite being hailed as the number one talent of Drakoria’s younger generation, he remained the sa as before—without giving people a sense of pride at all.
And as the heir to the Walker family, he showed none of the typical arrogance or recklessness often seen in wealthy heirs.
However, the way Julian dealt with Felix and his Blaziken just now completely refreshed the perception of how people saw him.
That ruthless deanor—it was terrifying.
The reason he had chosen Alakazam instead of tagross was simple: tagross wouldn’t have been able to restrain Blaziken instantly, but Alakazam could.
Since the surrounding environnt wasn't suitable for fighting, Blaziken had to be subdued in an instant.
After crippling Blaziken, Julian once again walked up to Felix.
"N-no, don't co here!"
Felix was terrified. Seeing what had happened to Blaziken made him realize that Julian wouldn’t care about his identity at all. So now, the biggest thing he had relied on for protection was gone.
If Julian truly wanted to kill him, he wouldn’t be able to resist at all.
"Julian, please stop!"
At this mont, the university’s patrol team finally arrived.
So trainers had bad tempers, and to prevent them from fighting on the streets and hurting innocent people, the patrol team was a necessary presence.
The patrol team mbers were all third-year students.
"S-save !"
Felix, who usually found the patrol team annoying, now looked at them like they were his parents, tears and snot ran down his face as he pleaded for help.
The team consisted of ten mbers—just one of the ten patrol teams at Imperial University.
"Julian, you went too far!"
One of the female patrol mbers frowned when she saw Felix’s broken arm, blood continuously dripping from the wound. On top of that, Blaziken lay motionless on the ground, its condition unknown.
She imdiately turned to Julian with an angry expression.
"Do you even know what started all this?" Julian asked calmly.
The woman was stunned for a mont, she actually had no idea, but seeing Felix’s miserable state, she instinctively sympathized with him and said with a frown, "No matter the reason, you shouldn’t have been so heavy handed!"
Julian turned to the person who had first called out to him and said, "So, this is one of your teammates? People say big-chested won are usually brainless, but how did she manage to have neither?"
"You—!"
The female patrol mber was instantly furious.
But before she could do anything, her captain stopped her.
Feeling a little awkward, Simon looked at Julian and said, "Let’s start by going over what happened."
Simon was on the sa university team as Julian, so he was naturally familiar with him, he knew Julian wasn’t soone who actively sought trouble.
For him to have beaten Felix so badly, the other party must have done sothing that truly enraged him.
So, Julian briefly explained what had happened.
"They all saw it—Felix pulled out a knife and tried to kill first, then his Blaziken directly attacked ."
"The people around us saw everything."
Julian pointed at the surrounding crowd and then at Felix’s lackeys. "They were the closest, they saw it most clearly."
"You guys, tell Simon what happened, and rember—don’t lie, you know what will happen if you do," Julian warned them.
Felix’s lackeys were already scared out of their wits, they wouldn’t dare lie.
Before Simon could even ask, they hurriedly explained everything, and their version matched Julian’s almost exactly.
"Now do you admit that you lack both?" Julian looked at the female patrol mber.
She gritted her teeth, glaring at Julian, but said nothing in return.
"I’ll leave the rest to you, I haven’t even had dinner yet."
With that, Julian turned and walked away.
The two Swellow, though still recovering, were able to fly again. At this mont, they perched on Julian’s shoulders, one on each side, gently pecking at his earlobes as if thanking him.
"What’s he so smug about?"
The female patrol mber muttered unhappily as she watched Julian leave.
Simon shot her an annoyed look and said, "If you act like this again, you won’t have a place on the patrol team."
"With what Felix just did, Julian would have been justified in killing him outright."
Regardless of whether Felix pulling out a dagger or Blaziken attacking Julian—under these circumstances, if Julian had really killed Felix, it would have been considered self-defense.
"Get him to the hospital before he actually dies," Simon ordered.
By now, Felix was slipping into semi-consciousness due to excessive blood loss. A few patrol mbers imdiately carried him to the hospital.
anwhile, Julian, on his way back to the villa, suddenly stopped and spoke softly, "Go, do it cleanly."
"Khekhe..."
His grudge with Felix was already set in stone. He didn’t know if Felix would seek revenge later, but there was no need to leave that sword hanging on him.
The simplest solution was to eliminate him outright.
The mont Felix had pulled a dagger on him, Julian should have finished him off, that would have been a clear case of self-defense. However, he didn’t want to kill soone in public.
The next day, news spread from the university hospital that Felix had died from a sudden heart failure.
Felix's family refused to believe it. After all, he had only suffered a broken arm, and he had been treated the night before, and his condition had already improved significantly.
The next morning, when the nurse did her routine check, she found Felix dead in his hospital bed—his cause of death officially listed as cardiac arrhythmia.
While severe arrhythmia could indeed be fatal, the odds of it happening were about as low as soone dying from the common cold.
The doctors ran multiple examinations, but they found no evidence of foul play—no signs of physical harm or any Pokémon involvent.
Felix’s VIP hospital room even had security caras, yet the footage showed nothing unusual. All they saw was Felix sleeping soundly before his face suddenly contorted in pain, and monts later, he stopped breathing.
But many people still speculated that Felix's death had sothing to do with Julian.
After all, last night's events had already spread like wildfire on the Imperial University forums, and then, the very next day, Felix suddenly died.
Were there really such coincidences in this world?
"Captain... could it really have been Julian?" In the patrol team’s lounge, the female team mber asked nervously.
"How would I know?" Simon replied.
"Do you think he’ll co after ?"
She looked pale, Felix’s sudden death had rattled her, and she was terrified that Julian might target her next.
"You’re overthinking it."
Seeing her so afraid, Simon softened his tone and reassured her: "Relax, Felix’s death wasn’t Julian’s doing, and he won’t co after you either."
"The investigation team already confird it—Felix died from cardiac arrhythmia, the security footage was released, and there was no foul play."
Hearing that, the female team mber finally felt a bit more at ease.
Still, she deeply regretted how she had acted the night before. Why hadn’t she asked more questions before jumping to conclusions and siding against Julian?
Now, she was the one suffering for it.
Although Simon said all that, he knew deep down that Felix’s death must have sothing to do with Julian.
