While the uncle and nephew bantered, Fred had already sent out his third Pokémon. Losing two battles in a row hadn't affected his mindset in the slightest.
With the appearance of his third Pokémon, the first thing everyone heard was a powerful, domineering roar.
"TAAAR!!"
A Tyranitar, resembling a small dinosaur, stood tall in the arena, its roar echoing throughout the battlefield.
Ethan's eyes lit up with excitent. "Grandpa's Tyranitar is even stronger than Probopass! That guy is definitely going to lose!"
Tyranitar wasn't just a pseudo-legendary Pokémon—it was also a symbol of the Rock-type Gym.

Feeling the constant shaking of Aggron's Poké Ball on his waist, Julian said softly, "You're not ready to face it yet."
Although he was eager to see an Aggron and a Tyranitar clash—two Pokémon that looked like absolute beasts—he knew Aggron was currently no match for Tyranitar.
Under normal circumstances, Julian wouldn't have minded sending Aggron out. But this was a Gym challenge, and Tyranitar was Fred's ace.
He wasn't confident that Aggron could take down the opponent's trump card.
As if understanding his reasoning, the shaking of Aggron's Poké Ball gradually stopped.
Julian then placed his hand on the first Poké Ball on his belt.
With a flash of white light, a silver-white tagross appeared on the battlefield.
Its tallic body glead under the light, and the golden X on its forehead gave it an imposing aura. While it wasn't as ferocious-looking as Tyranitar, its presence was just as commanding.

tagross's level hadn't changed in the past three months, still at the peak of pseudo-Elite. Its potential remained Purple, though a tenth of it had already transitioned to Gold.
The two pseudo-legendary Pokémon locked eyes. Even though tagross was at a lower level than Tyranitar, it showed no fear in the face of the Elite-level pressure radiating from its opponent.
Tyranitar: "You don't need to force yourself. If you can't handle it, just stay down."
tagross: "Idiot"
In terms of intelligence, tagross, with its supercomputer-like brain, viewed Tyranitar as little more than a simpleton. In fact, it considered Julian to be one as well.
Tyranitar: "I'm going to crush you!"
"ROAR!"
With a deafening roar from Tyranitar, the battle officially began.
Pieces of rocks erupted from the battlefield, each towering dozens of ters high. As they shot out from the ground, their sharp tips carried streaks of white air pressure, cutting through the battlefield like blades.
In response to Tyranitar's Stone Edge, tagross used Teleport, instantly appearing right in front of its opponent.
Its right arm lifted, fist glowing with a rainbow-colored light, as it aid a powerful teor Mash at Tyranitar.
Tyranitar countered with a Focus Punch, eting tagross head-on.
The air between them cracked and exploded as their fists clashed. In just a fraction of a second, the force from teor Mash and Focus Punch collided.
'Boom!'
A shockwave burst from the point of impact, sweeping through the battlefield like a raging storm. The sheer force tore up the ground on either side of them, leaving deep trenches in its wake.
'Crack… crack…'
The ground beneath Tyranitar's feet began to fracture as its massive body started to sink slightly.
"Tar…?"
Feeling the imnse force transmitted through its arm, Tyranitar's eyes widened in disbelief. Its Focus Punch had been completely overpowered.
The mont its attack crumbled, tagross's teor Mash followed through, sending Tyranitar flying backward more than a hundred ters. Its thick legs scraped against the battlefield, carving deep grooves into the ground.
It had actually been knocked back by a single hit!
Fred's eyes flickered with surprise.
Although tagross's level hadn't changed, its strength was still growing.
The Walker family's resources, combined with the system's support, had been invested the most into tagross. It had always been the top priority.
The result of this investnt was tagross's unscientific increase in power. Of course, the system played the biggest role in this.
With countless enhancent drugs boosting all six of its base stats, tagross had beco a perfectly balanced fighter—an unstoppable warrior.
Feeling it's arm trembling slightly, Tyranitar was surprised, but it also felt deeply unwilling to accept this outco.
Strength was supposed to be its greatest pride. And now… it had lost in raw power to a chunk of tal?
No way. It had to be because it didn't eat enough for breakfast.
Tyranitar: "Again!"
Fred made no attempt to stop Tyranitar's seemingly reckless behavior.
"ta!"
tagross teleported in front of Tyranitar once again. Since its opponent was so eager to continue, it would gladly oblige. Its fist, shining with the brilliant light of teor Mash, swung directly at Tyranitar's face.
This ti, however, Tyranitar didn't use Focus Punch—it went for Fire Punch instead.
Flas roared to life around its fist as it clashed with tagross's attack.
Julian's expression darkened slightly.
'Tyranitar, this sneaky bastard…'
Fortunately, teor Mash overpowered the Fire Punch, otherwise the Fire Punch might have caused burn contest condition.
Tyranitar: "Again!"
tagross: "Like hell I will."
Just monts ago, tagross had thought of Tyranitar as nothing more than a muscle-headed fool. But now, it nearly learned a painful lesson—it would not underestimate its opponent again.
tagross spread its arms wide, gathering energy. In the next instant, a brilliant silver beam shot forward.
"Tyranitar, Hyper Beam!"
A golden energy beam erupted from Tyranitar's mouth, colliding with tagross's silver blast. The two beams clashed violently, gold and silver intertwining as they struggled for dominance.
As more energy poured in from both Pokémon, the clash turned into a massive sphere of swirling energy, growing larger with each passing second.
Then—
"BOOM!!!"
A deafening explosion rocked the battlefield. A towering cloud of smoke rose into the air, while a devastating shockwave rippled outward.
The ground cracked apart inch by inch under the sheer force of the blast. Countless rocks were reduced to dust, and even the protective barrier surrounding the battlefield trembled, sending out visible ripples.
Tyranitar, despite its massive bulk, was pushed back dozens of ters by the impact.
anwhile, tagross used a Light Screen to block the shock wave in front of it.
