The appearance of Crawdaunt and Feraligatr signified the formal entry of Elite-level Pokémon into the battlefield. Their presence brought cohesion to the previously chaotic and disorganized Water Pokémon.
The attacks suddenly gained rhythm, and the wild Pokémon began to focus on threats to their ranks. Julian's Pokémon were quickly singled out and sward.
Fortunately, thanks to ltal and Lucario's overwhelming abilities, as long as their opponents weren't at a higher level, sheer numbers posed no significant threat in the short term.
"tagross," Julian snorted coldly.
tagross imdiately soared toward Crawdaunt and Feraligatr.
Wade was montarily stunned. He noticed that tagross's strength had abruptly advanced from mid pseudo-Elite level to its peak.
'It gained several levels just by returning to the hotel?'
"tagross has been suppressing its level-up before"
Julian explained, catching Wade's curiosity.
This was a prepared excuse to explain why tagross had suddenly reached peak pseudo Elite-level.
As a pseudo-legendary Pokémon, it naturally excelled in power but leveled up much more slowly.
Hearing Julian's explanation, Wade didn't press further.
By now, tagross had reached Crawdaunt and Feraligatr.
Crawdaunt, straightforward and brutish, wasted no ti. Its massive claw glead white as it lunged at tagross, who countered with Bullet Punch.
A loud impact rang out, creating a massive pit in the surrounding seawater, sending nearby Pokémon flying.
Amidst Crawdaunt's pained cry, its body was hurled through the air.
Feraligatr, standing nearby, was montarily stunned. 'That's it? It's over already? That was way too fast.'
Then it noticed that tagross's gaze locked onto it next.
Known for its fiery temper, comparable to that of Gyarados, Feraligatr showed no fear. Infuriated by its companion's defeat, it opened its jaws wide, firing a Hydro Pump at tagross.
tagross dodged effortlessly with Teleport and prepared to strike, only to find Feraligatr diving into the ocean.
Feraligatr: Let's see how you attack in the water.
Subrged, it maintained visual contact with tagross on the surface and launched repeated Hydro Pumps, attempting to whittle it down with ranged attacks.
While the tactic seed dirty, it was undoubtedly effective—at least on paper.
This Feraligatr seed to have a good brain.
However, Feraligatr underestimated tagross. With a Psychic blast, tagross not only targeted Feraligatr but also manipulated the surrounding seawater, trapping Feraligatr in a swirling water sphere.
Inside the sphere, Feraligatr's eyes widened in shock, its limbs flailing uselessly as it realized it couldn't move.
With a blinding Flash Cannon, Feraligatr joined Crawdaunt in defeat, falling honorably in battle.
Two early Elite-stage Pokémon had been defeated by tagross alone.
But this was far from over—it was only the beginning.
Monts later, four more Elite-level Pokémon broke through the ocean's surface. All four were Gyarados, their imposing forms followed by yet another colossal figure leaping out of the water.
The enormous creature was none other than a Wailord, its massive body resembling a small mountain.
Wailord is known as the largest Pokémon ever discovered.
So people even capture and train Wailord specifically for transoceanic journeys, riding atop its imnse form.
This particular Wailord was mid-Elite level, while the four Gyarados were all early-Elites.
With a powerful swing of its tail, Wailord struck the ocean's surface, creating a monstrous wave dozens of ters high and nearly a kiloter wide. Within the towering wave, countless Water Pokémon swam, ready to overwhelm the defenders.
The sheer magnitude of the wave cast a shadow over the entire beach.
Even defeating Wailord wouldn't stop the wave; its montum was already unstoppable.
anwhile, tagross found itself entangled in a fierce battle with the four Gyarados, unable to break free to assist.
The advancing wave threatened to annihilate the entire defensive line. If it crashed down, the trainers and their Pokémon would be thrown into utter chaos and peril.
"Focus Punch!"
A calm but firm command rang out.
From the defensive line, a Pokémon covered in gleaming golden scales launched itself into the air. With the wave's imnse size, this Pokémon appeared minuscule by comparison.
Its fist, radiating with a bright white glow, struck directly at the towering wave. The sight resembled a person punching the wall of a skyscraper—an act seemingly futile, as if trying to stop an avalanche with bare hands.
Yet, what happened next left everyone dumbfounded.
The mont the glowing fist collided with the massive wave, it froze in place, as though ti itself had paused.
Then, the devastating force of the punch spread outward, rippling across the entire wave from side to side. Water droplets erupted in every direction, glittering like a thousand tiny stars under the moonlight.
As the golden-scaled Pokémon landed gracefully, the once-towering wave collapsed as if it were a boneless mass.
A wave nearly a kiloter wide and dozens of ters high had been completely dismantled by a single punch.
Wailord blinked in astonishnt, utterly baffled by what had just occurred.
The one responsible for this incredible feat was none other than Wade and his Kommo-o.
That single punch was a masterpiece of control and precision. Without perfect mastery over its strength, the Focus Punch would have rely created a hole in the wave, leaving its montum intact.
But with unmatched precision, Kommo-o had dispersed its power evenly across the entire wave, utterly obliterating it in one blow.
Lucario's eyes burned with admiration as it gazed at Kommo-o. Its own mastery over strength was far from reaching the level of control the dragon displayed.
Kommo-o's performance, however, wasn't over yet. With another powerful leap, it unleashed another Focus Punch, this ti targeting Wailord.
Sensing imminent danger, Wailord quickly dove beneath the waves, attempting to escape by retreating into the safety of the ocean.
But Kommo-o's Focus Punch tore through the water's surface, exposing Wailord's broad back. A massive spray of seawater erupted into the air, and a pained cry echoed from the giant Pokémon.
Using the recoil from its punch, Kommo-o perford a mid-air spin before landing gracefully on the shore.
Now fully revealing its overwhelming strength, Kommo-o radiated the unmistakable aura of a peak Elite-level Pokémon. The sheer intensity of its presence froze the surrounding Water Pokémon in their tracks, paralyzing them with fear.
anwhile, tagross had finished its battle with the four Gyarados, standing victorious.
Though not quite as powerful as Kommo-o, the aura it exuded rivaled that of a Elite-level Pokémon, adding to the oppressive atmosphere.
The Water Pokémon, once filled with aggression, began to falter. Panic and fear rippled through their ranks as Elite-level Pokémon were defeated one after another.
For the first ti since the battle began, the chaotic tide of attackers showed signs of halting. The defensive line no longer appeared on the brink of collapse.
Seizing the mont, Wade released yet another powerhouse: a peak Elite-level Druddigon.
With two peak Elite-level Pokémon standing side by side, their combined Dragon-type presence beca suffocating, making the water-types back down in fright.
